A woman from Colombia has decided to changed her name to include all 26 letters of the alphabet. Here is her new ‘name details’: First name: ABCDEFG HIJKLMN Surname: OPQRST UVWXYZ . Super-interesting. The Colombian woman had spent a year fighting government red tape to get her named changed to include all 26 letters of the alphabet. She said was tired of the name former name Ladyzunga Cyborg. The 36-year old university art lecturer decided she wanted a name that was difficult to pronounce. She actually started the process back in 2012 and finally received an official ID card 12 months later. Initially she had several of her requests rejected by the Colombian National Registry after they initially refused to acknowledge the name. ABCDEFG (do not forget too soon, this is her first name) revealed that the reasons behind her decision in a recent interview with Columbian website Las2orillas, was that she constantly feels the need to redefine herself. Well said! “I started looking for a name that nobody had in Colombia, or the world, so I thought ABCDEFG HIJKLMN OPQRST UVWXYZ,” she explained. “I’ve changed my name so people wouldn’t know it’s me. “It’s not because I was disturbed by it, but because I wanted to always bring an element of surprise.” Daniel Molano, from the Colombian National Registry, said: “If a civil notary had refused to modify her name in the civil registry, he would have broken his work obligations. “Basically no matter how unusual, this is something that should always be allowed.” Source: The Telegraph http://iphenon.com/colombian-teacher-changes-her-name-to-abcdefg-hijklmn-opqrst-uvwxyz/

According to World Health Organization, (WHO), facts have it that more than 80 percent of Diabetes death occur in low and middle – income countries and projects that it will be the leading cause of death by year 2030. Even more worrisome is that the country that has the highest number of people suffering from diabetes in Africa is Nigeria; say the World Health Organization (WHO); International Federation of Diabetes (IFD) and Diabetes Association of Nigeria (DAN). Type 2 Diabetes results when the body becomes resistant to insulin or the pancreas stop producing enough insulin. Insulin works to lower the amount of sugar in the blood stream, especially when the sugar level spikes after consuming a carbohydrate meal. Type 1 Diabetes on the other hand results from insufficient production of insulin. While nothing can be done to reduce the risk of Type 1 Diabetes, a lot can be done to reduce the risk of Type 2 Diabetes that many suffer due to unhealthy lifestyles. Why You Should Take This Steps Serious. The complications of Diabetes type 2, including Nerve damage, kidney damage, and damage to the heart, and eyes, foot damage, Alzheimer’s disease and so on. The scary part is when a person is diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes, no permanent treatment can be done, only management of the disease. This means drugs non-stop. I bet you wouldn’t want to risk your body to diabetes by many unhealthy lifestyles. Steps to Prevent Diabetes 1. Start Eating Healthy Healthy eating is one of the most important steps to lower the risk. When I say healthy diet I mean a diet low in fat, salt and sugar. • White rice, white bread, doughnuts and all those foods containing refined sugar should be replaced with whole grains and fiber foods – wheat bread, wheat flour, and other fiber foods. • Of course the popular sugar drinks are not left out. Stop consuming sugary drinks and snacks for lunch! The sugar content of this drink can increase the risk of diabetes by 31 percent. • Limit red meat consumption). People who consume red meat have a 20 percent increased risk of Type 2 Diabetes. You can consume fish, meat from chicken, turkey, in place of red meat. • Choose Good fats over bad ones; good fats i.e. polyunsaturated fats found in quality liquid vegetable oils, nuts and seeds can help reduce the risk of type 2 Diabetes. Bad fats do exactly the opposite, especially those found in packaged baked food products, fried foods in restaurant and other foods prepared with bad oil. 2. Quit smoking If you are a smoker then you start planning to quit or else you increase the chance of becoming Diabetic by 50 percent. This percent is higher for heavier smokers. 3. Control Your Weight Excess weight is the single most important cause of Type 2 Diabetes as the risk increases by seven fold! Being obese increases the risk 20 to 40 times more. If you are overweight or obsessed then start making plans to shed down those weights – for your own good. 4. Stop Relaxing, Start Exercising If you are one person fond of always relaxing all the time then you stand a higher chance of developing Diabetes by 14 percent. Findings from the Nurses’ Health Study Health Professionals follow up suggests that brisk walking for 30 minutes every day reduces the risk of diabetes by 30%. Right from tomorrow you can start exercising. source:http://iphenon.com/how-to-prevent-diabetes-type-2/
