Hi guys, I need an insightful opinion here please.

I'm in the midst of paying for my Tier4 visa (for four years). The IHS checker specifies £1350 and was hoping to pay with my UK pounds account. On the payment page however it is valued in USD (1850), which is like £100 in excess based on the conversion rate on every channel I have looked at. Is this normal from your experience (based on some ridiculous rate)? Or is there some charges I'm not aware of?

I think something is wrong somewhere for Coventry... I have not seen anybody they issue CAS for, the first bank statement I gave them expired, they message me to present another one , do we even have anybody that has gotten CAS in Coventry ? They’re opinion that we should do our enrollment online , Note to all applicant , if you do online enrollment you will not be able to claim your fund again, have been seeing there series of email to sign up for enrollment but I have let them know that without CAS no enrollment so we could ask for refund , hoping they will get back , do we have anybody that has collected CAS in Coventry ? I resumed in May PhD and got mine yesterday. This was after several push from me, then my supervisor, which did not result in anything positive. Other May PhD from my understanding are in this situation. My supervisor had to escalate the issue with my research center management who contacted the admission office on Monday. From Tuesday they've been sending messages to me and follow-up like I owe them money until I got it yesterday. From my supervisor, he said they are currently understaffed at the admission office, coupled with working from home, the reason for their slow response. I reckoned they have been giving CAS to MSc September intake before now.

On your case, I'm sure you'll get it, but you have to decide if you are ready to take the first semester online in the worst case, because you'll have to enroll whether you like it or not, before the deadline or extended deadline if they give one.

I don't know of anyone personally that has been issued CAS, but a friend of mine there said he does.

To add to everything that's been said about proof of funds, keeping your money in your account basically gives you a safety net.

If your application is rejected / refused, and the money is still intact in your account, theoretically, you can apply again immediately and still meet the maintenance requirement. Practically, there might be other factors affecting whether you could apply again, but at least the maintenance funds won't be a problem.

Also, this gives you a chance at admin review incase you're asked to submit recent documentation, in addition to the previous one submitted to confirm if the money is truly available to you. And if the money has been used towards living or tuition costs, the evidence will be submitted for AR too.

Even though some information can't be disclosed or asked as a result of GDPR rules, you signing (consent for information submitted to be verified) the application form and submitting your bank statement gives UKVI the right to ask certain questions about the funds in the submitted statement to prevent immigration fraud and in as much as those questions are Yes or No questions based on what you've submitted, the right/wrong question may just reveal that the funds detailed on your account statement is truly not available to you.
The line of questioning might go like this:
1. Hi, Kindly verify that this statement was issued by your bank and that all the details herein are correct.
2. Are the funds detailed on the submitted bank statement still reflected in the account or not?

Some financial evidence submitted aren't checked except it looks out of place and something is off on your application or until a refusal based on this is contested at administrative review. This is based on situations where the financial evidence was discounted and not further probed due to previous refusals on financial grounds. Please note that this is not reflective of all such situations. @Justwise pls feel free to remove this paragraph if you think that it will give people ideas. Thank you.

My advice is to ensure that the money is left as is except used to pay your study costs which you'd have proof of incase you need it for AR.

If I add to the fund or withdraw a little from the account, what does that make of question 2?

Not to undermine the importance of those interview questions, as they are very standard personality based interview questions that are used in many companies today, but the truth is, op, they are very unlike shell's pattern of interview questions "may be except number 1". Anybody who has done any interview with shell will tell you that.

I honestly don't get the reason why HND holders are bitter about the so called discrimination against them. Of course no one likes being on the receiving end of discrimination. Before they equate BSc and HND my question I would love them to answer is what stopped them from going to a university to obtain a BSc rather than a polytechnic?

There was no instruction not to answer the untitled test. If there was a problem in the company and it isn't your jurisdiction e.g fire outbreak would you wait for HSE department to act or you would be decisive. Am not to decide for airtel tho. Just my opinion

There are well laid out instructions by HSE departments on how to proceed during issues like fire outbreak which every one is expected to follow. Nevertheless, it is expected of you to use common sense (or to put it, personal initiative) to judge certain situations and take appropriate actions. However, it is worth mentioning that taking any action, personal initiative or otherwise that is out of line with clear directives is at your own peril. I'm sure this were the issue of the much talked about risk assessment comes to mind. If it goes well, you are a hero, if it doesn't ..... My point is, if there's no clearly defined instruction to take one but there is for another, then whoever is grading the assessment has no business with the former. Hence taking it or not should have no consequence. However, if it would help you get an insight into the latter, why no take it.#justsaying

The amazing thing about the job is that it was advertised to be strictly for graduates with minimum of 2.1 in mech or electrical. My brother read electrical.
