Anyways, good to know he's still kicking |
Dapo777:Epic!!! |
Crocz:Your wiseman is not really wise. Which of the Gods did he tell you to believe? hasn't he figured out that there are as many gods as hell? |
MizMyColi:He could've leaked his new handle to you; or i thought you guys were in touch, offline or something? |
^^^ You're far below the threshold. Delusions and dogma! |
Smallville10:Lol... How did you come about this 'knowledge' of yours? I'm curious. How did you know that god has an origin? |
Bobbysworld28:Whatever keeps your pride and makes you sleep warm. I endorse. |
Bobbysworld28:No, just stating the facts as i see them. The defense is actually on u. If u had bothered to read the posts preceeding ur entrance, I quite clearly stated my claim while trying to understand the atheist worldview.Your claim is?? that there's a god? the burden of proof lies on you, buddy. What I have gathered however, has been astonishing. Atheism is not a worldview. The ones on NL are united by only one line: disbelief in God. Other than dt, there is nothing else. NOTHING!?! Not even the fabled logic or rational thinking. U only use it when convenient but u dont live by it.Yes, what unites "atheists" on Nairaland is: disbelief in god. Atheism cuts across many philosophical thoughts and some worldviews. Hence, some atheists on here are: existentialists; humanists; evolutionists; Buddhists; etc. Aside the disbelief in god, whatever follows are personal opinions. What validates atheism?Exactly why i addressed you as a 'wimp' (you'd have to workhard to prove otherwise). You demand "someone" or "something" to lean on? no? We do not have a G.O. nor Pope nor Bible. Philosophy of course! So which ideology do u live by? NOTHING! Even a hedonist has pleasure as his absolute good! U can at least tell what he stands for and how he approaches issues of life even if u do not agree with him.You are committing a fallacy. Picking assumptions when something eludes you. Rejection of A doesn't imply acceptance of B, it stands at "rejection of A", which is the unifying factor. Per chance an atheist tells you that he accepts B, doesn't mean all atheists do. I am seriously thinking u guys dont even understand what it is u stand forI do think you do not even know what you are debating. |
Bobbysworld28:How much more convoluted can you get? What sort of things do you snuff, before you login to NL? |
Bobbysworld28:Don't be a sissy. You guys are the ones making a claim, that there is a god somewhere, omnixxx. The defence is on you. Not me, no. What methodology do you use in debunking bullshiit and unfounded claims? You seem not to understand what opposites are, wimp. |
KingEbukasBlog:Who's clamouring for truth here? Atheism is reality |
mployer:Huh? You are of the opinion that you and your ilk were created; unfounded. I am more disappointed. |
mployer:I am a product of an interc.ourse that happened some years back between my mum and my dad, gerrit? |
chrisviral:Contrary to what you think, i don't subscribe to the "big bang theory" |
MizMyColi:Whatever that means. It is apparent from your posts that you have been indoctrinated with the dubious and nefarious notion of "god-did-it". It's pathetic; averagely, education can't cure it |
frustratedman:Op, i honestly believe you are either a troll or a psychopath or both. Just had a look at your posts. Either way, visit a psychiatry today and pick up your life, you own it. |
MizMyColi:Elementary biology, mate! Of what use is education in Africa if people still think they were "created"? |
Bobbysworld28:Warped theistic logic. (i) table/tables were presented to men in the past. (ii) they rejected the table/tables. According to Bobbysworld28's logic, they accepted the table/tables(tableism) b4 rejecting them (Atableism). ![]() |

This thread was inspired by a conversation i had with a 'religionist', lately. He (the theist) was furious and of the opinion that atheists are anti-God. In his words, he said "they don't want to hear anything about God, they don't accept anything about God, atheists are anti-God". In another thread on this forum, an American nurse/doctor claimed that her God healed her of ebola. Now, to disillusion this prejudiced notion that atheists are anti-God; "Atheists are not anti-Yahweh or Allah, rather, we posit that all their said interferences and/or 'supernatural bulldada' are explainable within the realm of science & psychology and hence are normal/natural occurrences." We do not assume to know it all, but history has shown that the word "supernatural" is an uncouth way of saying "i don't know". Is it just a coincidence or a proof, that the said 'supernatural occurrences' are peddled more among illiterates, rural areas, megalomaniacs and hallucinators? Religion thrives on placebo, hypochondria and the mind. 10% of people that got diagnosed with ebola will recover with just good diet, hygiene and immune system. But, if these people had prayed to a deity, any deity(be it poo in the latrine), the recovery will be attributed to the deity and termed 'supernatural'. That's clumsy and balderdash. In our(atheists) opinion, these occurrences are normal and happen irrespective of one's religious inclination. BTW, a miracle is supposed to be a phenomenon or an event that defies the laws of nature and therefore paranormal. So, next time you present a normal occurrence to us, as an act of your deity, be sure we're gonna dismiss it. |
FrancisTony:Lol... Pretense won't help you. Accept yourself the way you are. |
Image123:To say in one's heart that "there's a god", is an assumption as influenced by culture and religion. To pick a god out of the millions of gods as the one-true god is appealing to one's emotions and bias, and as such "foolish" |
davien:Check out this site: www.jesusneverexisted.com |
Good thread. If Yahweh is supposedly perfect and primordial, What happened to him? Why create the world? Was he just bored or incomplete? A perfect being does not need advancement or improvement, no. |
Christianity and dumbness. Grown-up men waiting for Super-man fairy to come take them up in the cloud. Smh |
SammyHoe: Mazaje, have you ever read the bible? As much as I know, Jesus Christ prophesied incurable diseases in the book of Matthew 24 as sign of the end of the world and he didn't say that any pastor would be the one to end it. So, forget it and talk something else. If you have any EBOLA patients, take them to those pastors you mentioned and if the symptoms persists then you can whitewash them here if you like. So, wait until you have proven them before talking. The problem with the bible is not believing its stories... The problem lies in its non-conformity with reality. |
Ukutsgp: have u nt seen someone raised back to life before?bla blah blah |
asalimpo: stop yapping crap.In your opinion, they are all "absolute evil", right? |
Ukutsgp: well, i dnt really believe those crap. reincarnation is impossibleBut, somehow, resurrection is possible... |
lastchild: All my threads almost speaks on one direction, anyway that's because I only have one problem in this life which I keep talking aboutOne word-- psychotic delusions |
royalregal: Helo,How does the voice of god sound like? Shalom. |
