you don't get over someone easily especially after spending time, energy and resources in the relationship.

It took time to build your relationship to a certain level.

In those times, you were taking deep roots into the ground.

Went to the polling unit around 11 am. The ad hoc staff were still sorting out the election materials at that time even though voting was supposed to have started long before that time.

Nevertheless, we joined the queue and waited for them.

After much quarrel and struggles, they were able to sort everything out.

It was time to start the voting process.

Only about 10 or 15 people voted, when one of the party agents (pdp agent specifically because he was wearing the tag) came and started causing trouble.

He scattered the whole table, saying that he will not gree, that they have bribed the other INEC staffs and police men there.

He was shouting and saying the election will not hold in that polling unit.

Our police are VEGETABLES. Instead of shooting or arresting this man, they were begging him to stop.

The rest of us were just looking at the drama. For over 2 hours, nothing but shouting and shouting.

No one voted.

After the shouting had died down a little, they said everyone should join the queue back again but the INEC staff refused that they are not doing the election again.

People began to beg the woman but really there was nothing she could do as the rest of the staffs ran away and no one knew where they ran to when the trouble started.

I was really frustrated and left with my younger brother without voting.

Coming home, we could see other people in their polling unit voting peacefully. But ours was war without ending.

It's saddening really. In my polling units, lots of people are here since morning, but there's no ballot papers.

People are complaining. No end of the issue in sight.

But even more importantly, these voters are patient. Despite the frustration and numerous complaints here and there, they are still waiting patiently.

The officials or ad hoc staff are already leaving. The police are here, just monitoring the situation but no real work for them.

Is this a law in Nigeria that citizens should automatically pay for election levy?

I just opened my first bank app and they charged me N200 for election transfer levy.

Note that I did not make any transfer. Money was deposited into my account and the "levy" was deducted from it.

My personal opinion, if the aim of this is to mop up cash ment for voter buying, funds should be frozen till after elections.

it's defeated already.

If bank start accepting it, then it's legal tender and market women will start accepting it too.

Once the business men and women start accepting it, then you can easily give to people on election day since these businesses can accept it and go change it.

In essence, businesses will do the bulk of the cash exchange while they accept the money for exchange of goods.

Votes can be bought comfortably.

All cbn had to do was endure the pressure for a couple more days.
