PoliticsRe: A Different Perspective At Oba Of Lagos Speech To Igbo by queenetteada: 7:31am On Apr 10, 2015
i'm not a fan of ambode or jimi agbaje but one thing i would love every lagosian to do is
to vote for the candidate that you can trust. i'm not a fan of PdP government. if PDP
should win on saturday then every lagosian should be ready for 4 years of civil unrest
because past PdP government in south west was associated with thuggery and armed robbery.
Ekiti state is still suffering from that till date. dont get me wrong, fayose is a very
nice man but he's got hooliganism in his blood. To all my igbo brothers. your businesses
are thriving in lagos because there's has been peace in lagos and babatunde fashola tried
in terms of security in lagos. you can vote for PDP but there is one thing i can assure
you. lagos will not be peaceful again because all those thugs that BRF had sent away from
lagos will come back and your businesses will not be safe again. vote wisely!!

PoliticsWarri Billionaire Ayiri Emami Dumps PDP For APC by queenetteada(op): 11:00am On Apr 09, 2015
Warri billionaire Ayiri Emami, who was spotted with the national leader of APC, Bola Tinubu recently, has dumped PDP for APC. The former staunch PDP member, who campaigned tirelessly for the party before president Jonathan lost his re-election bid, is reported to have shown his supporters his APC card at his home in Ubeji, Warri today. He told his supporters to join him in the winning party as the PDP umbrella was leaking and could no longer provide shelter for them. He then asked them to vote for the APC governorship candidate in Delta, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor.

PoliticsRe: Oba Of Lagos Lock Up Idumota Traders Shop, orders Them 2Go To Ambode's Rally-pics by queenetteada: 7:53am On Apr 09, 2015
Freest:
I saw this on Facebook on hope for Nigeria's page and i decided to share:

Hope For Nigeria at Idumota Market, Lagos
B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G News!!!
Oba Of Lagos Locks Up IdumotaTraders Shops And Orders Them
To Go To Ambode's Rally.
**Oba's thugs ordered us to shut our shops. They gave us 10
minutes to Lock and join waiting Buses to Ambode's rally in Orile
Hundreds of shop owners, especially of Igbo, were reportedly
forced to shut-down their shops at the Idumota Market, Lagos
Island and ordered to go and join the APC candidate, Akinwunmi
Ambode .
This is coming when the Lagos monarch is under heavy criticism
for threatening to deal with Igbo residents of Lagos if they ddid not
vote for his APC candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode.
One of the traders in an sms message to reporters said, “We
arrived Idumota market to our shops as early as 8am. Shortly
after, some thugs came, ordering us shut our shops on the orders
of Oba Akiolu. They gave us 10 minutes to hurriedly close shops
and join the waiting vehicles parked in front of his palace, and
heading to Orile, venue of Ambode’s campaign led by the
President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.”
Some of the Igbo traders who deal on pharmaceutical products in
the market said when they arrived the market, some messengers
informed them that Oba Akiolu ordered everyone to close shop and
join buses numbering over 100.
A Pharmaceutical products dealer, said: “We were shocked at
what happened today (Tuesday) in Idumota market. When we got
to the market, we were caught unawares by a purported order from
the Oba of Lagos, directing all traders to close shop and join a bus
heading for Ambode’s campaign.
“We were shocked by this directive, because we were never
informed the previous day (Monday) about this directive. More
worrisome is the fact that I lost millions of Naira because of this
self-serving coercion by the Oba.”
Another pharmaceutical products dealer, said: “I feel this recent
forceful directive by the Oba is in fulfillment of his recent threat to
deal with Ndigbo if they fail to vote for his preferred candidate. But
as far as I am concerned, no amount of threat or coercion will
deter me from making my choice at the forthcoming governorship
election in Lagos State.”
Some Igbo traders view the monarch’s order as not unconnected
with the campaign of Ambode in the Orile axis of the state.
President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and other APC national
leaders were in Lagos today to lead the campaign train. - Hope For
Nigeria .

If Jimi ever said that....then its not correct, Eze Ndigbo wont even be willing to step into Oba shoes in Lagos. Oba of Lagos is a historic kingship
and usually they have a family tree of those that can be.......but truly I doubt if Jimi Agbaje would say that.....that man seem too intelligent to utter such words.

Fashola deported Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa. T.A Orji sacked other Igbo from abia civil service. Kano deported beggars from other northern States. Stop making it look like a fashola/Yoruba thing

Letter to Jimi Agbaje from a Concerned Lagosian - Uchenna Jimi Agbaje Should Desist From Making His Mandate An Igbo Agenda
Dear Jimi Agbaje,
I wish to use this channel to make this unambiguouslly clear. As an Igboman who has spent a good number of years in Lagos, I am very uncomfortable with all your gimmicks in this electoral season.
It is important you take full cognizance that the contest between you and Mr. Ambode of the APC is for the post of the Executive Governor of Lagos State and not for any other State located elsewhere. Therefore I frown at your divisive campaign strategy of pitching law-abiding non-indigenous residents in the State against the rest of the good people of Lagos.
If anything, the outcome of the just concluded Presidential Election that saw the kicking out of a sitting President who hinged his campaign on such divisive antics, should serve as a lesson for you. But most especially, I frown at your latest plot of making your support-base primarily an Igbo Agenda. It will interest you to know that I have no problem with any individual voting for you, but you colluding with Ifeanyi Uba, OPC and TAN to exploit and undermine the peaceful co-existence between Ndigbo and their Host Community for your personal agenda is totally unacceptable. This good relationship you see today, took generations to build - therefore we cannot keep silence and watch you tear it down.
Keep your campaign open to all and desist from sowing the seed of division. And we have not forgotten how you promised to collude with Militants in Niger Delta to sabotage the economy if Jonathan loses. At least now if there is any crisis in the creek, we know who to bring in for details about the plan to sabotage the economy of Nigeria.
I wish you well and also look forward to hear you call Ambode once the votes are counted this weekend just like President Jonathan did.
Please be wise!

PoliticsIt Is Forward Ever, Backward Never -lagos Christians Declare by queenetteada(op): 4:03am On Apr 04, 2015
The coalition of Christian Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Lagos state, led by Archbishop Magnus Adeyemi Atilade, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (South-West), declared today that the Christians in Lagos will give their full support to the All Progressives Congress (APC), to ensure that the state keeps moving forward. They said this today at an event held to formally endorse Akinwunmi Ambode, the APC gubernatorial candidate, as the next Executive Governor of the state.

According to Archbishop Atilade, the endorsement of Ambode is hinged on the Christian body’s belief in a guided and progressive democracy, and also on Ambode’s proven ability to perform as an astute administrator.

“The Christians in Lagos acknowledge that the state has seen steady progress since the inception of this democracy, and as regards the incoming state elections, we together say ‘forward ever, backward never’”

AMBODE IS SPECIAL GUEST AS LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT DONATES BUSES TO STUDENT UNIONS
The All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate for Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, was the Special Guest as leaders of Students’ Union bodies in Lagos Tertiary institutions received bus donations from the state government today. Mr. Ambode joined the state Governor, His Excellency, Babatunde Fashola (SAN) and the state Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, at the presentation ceremony held at the State House in Alausa Ikeja.
According to Mrs. Oladunjoye, the buses were made available to bodies to facilitate intra- and inter-school transport of the union leaders.

Governor Fashola added that the bus donation symbolizes one of the many responses to the yearnings of the student leaders for support, and it further depicts the commitment of the APC government to the welfare of all its citizens at every level. He added that Ambode will consolidate on such commitments, even now that an APC government will be at the centre.

The students used the moment to declare their support for the continuity of the APC government in Lagos. They expressed readiness to put their strength to use to ensure that Akinwunmi emerges victorious in the gubernatorial election coming up on 11th of April, 2015.

The student union bodies that benefited from the donation included those from the Lagos state University, University of Lagos, School of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Federal College of Education, Lagos State College of Health Technology, Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, National Association of Nigerian Students, Lagos State Polytechnic, and St. Augustine College of Education.
