Initially I used a liquid ink but that was rejected so I bought an ink pad for the second one and that was acceptable. You can print out 3 fingerprint cards and do your fingerprint on the 3 . I did 4 for mine the second time so they can pick the best.

Yes they share data, I'm not sure why they requested it from you though because I didn't do any politice cert for my trv, but you will definitely need it for pr.

To obtain your US police certificate, go to this link

https://www.fbi.gov/how-we-can-help-you/more-fbi-services-and-information/identity-history-summary-checks#Online

You are requesting for your identity history summary. Make sure you click on online for faster processing. If you choose by Mail, it will take more than 30 days. For online, it took 7 days when I did mine for my permanent residence application.

Once you open the link, click online ,then you will see all information you need there , I think the processing fee is $18 or so. Then download the FBI printing card , you will find it on the page, print it out and do your fingerprint there. Pls make sure your fingerprint is good and clear because they might reject it. The first one I did was rejected and I applied again which takes another week. You can check on YouTube for proper finger print.

After submitting your application online, you will get an email where to send your fingerprint, something like ATTN: electronic summary, then the FBI address in the US, use courier service to deliver for you. You will get your report in your email within 7 days.

They are travelling next month. I think they only issue introduction letter to study and work permit holder according to ircc website. Did you get for your kids? Maybe someone that has gone through this stage can help

Hi all, is port of entry letter needed for visitors visa because I didn't receive the letter of introduction for my kids, only received for my spouse after visa stamp. Also for kids that enter Canada with visitors' visa, will they be issued study permit at the port of entry? thanks

Hi queenG2020, if I may ask, is it ok to apply for travel authorization or travel exemption while Sowp is still in progress and SP hasn't gone to Canada.

I'm not sure if this is possible because travel exemption is either based on family reunification or compassionate reason for you you to join your family member already living in Canada. In my own case, it was a family reunification.

Hi Lianna,
I got thesame message when I applied for exemption letters for my family, since your application is still in progress, they won't send you the exemption letter. I assumed they already approved your authorization but waiting for final decision on your application before they release the letter. In our case, I got these letters for my spouse and kids on July 31, visa got approved August 12 and authorization letters for my kids were sent thesame day but I noticed that the authorization letters issued date was July 31st, same day I got this letter you have now. I also think this letter will make them work faster on your applications because I found Rapid Response Operation on the authorization letters.
NB: My spouse exemption letter was issued today.

SOWP holders dont need authorization letters.
Hubby is fully vaccinated.

Yes. It was approved and issued to only the kids.
We received it along with other correspondence sent to us via the GCkey account.

Thanks for replying. Mine was approved too and issued only to the kids. Does it mean SOWP doesn't need the authorization letter to travel since they only issued it to the kids with visitors visas?

I traveled to Canada on 18th December 2020. I started packaging my family application immediately after I have collected all the vital documents like Study permit, SIN, Service Card, and so on.
I applied for an Open work permit visa for my wife and visiting visa for my children.
Timeline:
Submitted application on 11th Feb 2021
Biometrics - 3rd March 2021
Upfront medical - 29th March 2021
Sent series of emails before medical was uploaded to pass on 14th June 2021.

At some point, I had to request for GCSM note to find out the current status of our application.
I contacted the MP, but the only feedback I got was that the status is "Review Required"
I had requested about three notes that are yet to land as we speak.
The last email I sent was on the 9th of August, 2021. I sent the email to both Nairobi and London. I finally got a response to my email on 11th August 2021. I think the London office forwarded my email to Nairobi. So, Nairobi told us to request a written authorization. I ask for this letter that same day. After that, the waiting game continues again until 17th August 2021. I noticed my daughter's eligibility changed from "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirement" to " we will inform you once your eligibility...".
Finally, on 18th August, I got a notification that there is a pending message regarding my family application. I opened the portal, and it was a BVL.
At this point, I knew the decision had been made. However, it was a mixed feeling because nobody knows what comes next. It is either an approval or a refusal, but I keep hoping for the best.
I decided to go and shop for wines � believing that it will be a favorable decision.
Victory at last. The golden email came in this morning. As usual, I logged into my wife's account, and it was a PPR!
I pray that everybody waiting for good news like this will testify very soon in Jesus' name.
It wasn't easy but last last; it ended in praise!!

Congratulations, did you get the authorisation approval for your spouse too? for me they only sent the authorization letters for my kids

Hi Eilenora, Did you get a study permit for your kids at the port of entry, I found it on IRCC website that children are allowed to attend school with their visitor's visa as long as the parent lives in Canada. Secondly, can you please tell me if your spouse got an authorization letter to travel and is he fully vaccinated ?

Hi all,

My hubby and 2 kids got approved today. Application was submitted on Dec 4, 2020. Did upfront medicals in April and updated to passed in July. Sent a lot of webforms and I also contacted our MP here. We got passport request today after 8 months, also my kids authorisation letters were approved because we applied for visitors visas for the kids. I guess hubby doesn't require authorisation letter because I applied for the 3 of them but they only sent the authorisation letters for the kids.

Why do I feel applying from the US is more easier even if that's not your home country or you're not even a Green Card holder still they approve.
How do they prove home ties? Be like all this home ties purpose of visit etc is economic migrants from Third world countries

I showed proof of hometies with my 2 plots of land, hubby and 2 kids are also in Naija. You are eligible to apply even without a green card as long as you maintain a legal status in country of residence and proof that you will be going back to your country after your program
