olabowale: @Jesoul: lol. Pilgrim.1 is still young. I will give her another 20 years. Tops or sooner.
Babs787 used to be a die hard Christian. Today he is a good musim.
My dear Pilgrim.1, continue with your story. Remember that Allah says in the Qur'an that those who left islam, and then the came back, and then the left it again, and then the came back, again,
It is not unusual to be anything before you are 40 years old. Even when you are over 40, the accepted age of wisdom, you can abandone islam and yet, if you have any good in your heart, as even as small as a grain of mustard, Allah has the power to direct your life back to Light upon light (Surah Nur), away from the temporary darkness you plunge yourself in, right this minute.
All repentances are acceptable, until the repentance at death. The type that Fir'awn was making at the time he was drowning.
I am confident that you will find your way back out of darkness. Just become the big engineer first. we don hear oya forward match pilgrim please you can also tell us what allah says about the highlighted part including people like you |

pilgrim.1: Many thanks for the contributions so far. What I aprreciate more is that this thread is not going as a solo for pilgrim.1 - and as many people make inputs, it would warm the thread a bit more.
Thanks for helping to bring focus so that I don't just yan on endlessly. I will tailor my gist according to the neat questions provided - although I had mentioned one of them: the hell thingy. So far it's been beautiful. Got saddened a bit by the death of your heart throb. He's in glory, praise be to God! For to die is gain do it anyway you want it. This is your thread |

davidylan: Queenisha you're wasting your time with olabowale, if you notice most people just gloss over the nonsense he has to say these days. He's not worth responding to. He just repeats the same thing like a broken record. My dear the thing is pathetic. He's the same guy that told us there is just one Koran. One Koran only and that the million English and other language translations don't count. Then when we pushed him to a wall and gave him evidence of other Korans he said this Not surprising that the author of the article that you quoted from, to illustrate the 'slight variations,' as he said in the Qur'an will say what he said. I am a Yoruba man, and you will know that from my name. I learnt how read the Qur'an in Arabic in America. Thank God. This is the greatest achievement of my life. It has opened my heart to the religion that you are trying so hard to put down and drag it in the same damp filth that you have your own religion and its book.
Now I read Warsh, which is more associated to the Moroccans, and also read Hafs. All my Qur'ans are in Hafs, which is an easier reading for me, because I am very used to the character. But I learnt how to read Qur'an from what the Indian/Pakistani subcontinent is more associated with. Yet it is a different character from the other two, the Warsh and Hafs! But when you pick up warsi Qur'an, you know immediately the different letters, eg fa, qaf are differently written, and unlike the Hafs, fa and qaf. But they are pronounced the same way, in both and all the Qur'ans, with slight local or dialectic pronounciation or voice inflections. How pathetic that he knew this all along and yet would ridicule the Bible for different translations which merely for the most part means different English style and nothing more when the Koran has many versions too. |

olabowale: @Davidylan: « #146 on: Today at 05:11:36 PM » David, please stop. You know that the Bible is corrupt. The first instance is that the Christians not have a single Bible that stands or acceptable to every sect. Secondly you always have revisions, editions, versions (what i used in High School is different from what was given to people 2 years after me). Interestingly, a careful inspection of the Bible text will reveal that not every one is from the Inspiration of God!
But when something is corrupt, it does not mean that it has no single truth in it. It simply means it is not 100% pure.
Take for instance, a person who went through a removal of part of his intestine is still a human being. But this same person is not as complete as his former self, before a part of him was removed in the operation.
Another example, is a person who used to have ten fingers. If two of them were removed, he will still be a human being. But he surely knows that he is not as normal as he used to be when he had 10 fingers.
Your Bibles that you have now is like the persons who have parts of him removed. We know it because Allah tell us. Then when we investigate we see many verses disagreeing and then the writing of other peoples.
Yet the Bible claims that God is not the Author of confusion! If versions mean corruption so is the Koran. Didn't we tackle that subject sometime last year or so where you were put to shame? my dear act your age and stop telling clear lies. Have you forgotten this thread? Especially the submissions by pilgrim? These lies are getting too old my dear Please see the thread where that was tackled and refresh your memory including the hadiths that tell you of omissions in the Koran at compilation https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-107465.0.html#msg1876992 |

pilgrim.1: Yes, He is. Halleluyah!
Perhaps I should just cut to the chase and go directly to my conversion. What do you think? Not yet. That'll be like eating the cheese cake before the jollof rice. What were you taught growing up about Christians and Jews? the plan of allah ? your regular rituals to please Allah things like that |

Queenisha, fantastic idea! and I'm glad Pilgrim obliged. The muslims will not take this one quietly but we hope it changes someones life. I have come to admire pilgrim1 and the unique perspective she brings to the religious threads. Statistics tell us that 6 million born Muslims in Africa alone become Christians per year. That is 667/hour 16000/day that was the statistics from the Muslim cleric Al Quataani on Al Jezeera. How true that is,I don't know But what I do know is that right here on nairaland, I know a few including my sister and friend pilgrim1 she has graciously agreed to give an insight into Islam as she was taught and why she became a soldier of Christ. Please let all contributors be respectful. This may be an eye opening thread. I am also willing to learn. |

pilgrim,I want to start a thread centered around you and other ex Muslims where people can ask you and others sincere questions. I would like to know what you were taught as kids and what Islam says about certain things with valid quotations and most importantly how you came to Christ. I'm sure It'll be an eye opener and perhaps an evangelism tool for others. |

@ the poster sistawoman has given you the best of advice Children can be manipulative and if you give in,you're not doing him a favour. Love him and that requires being tough sometimes. He has legs, let him walk. Sit him down, look him square in the face and say something like
Lookie here Oseloka People walk you see mom and I walking we love to walk You're now a big boy and big boys walk let him cry and draw crayons all over the wall but he'll eventually get the message once you stick to the same routine and your wife has to be that firm too. women have a tendency to baby their boys. |

olabowale: @Davidylan: « #128 on: Today at 01:15:12 AM » Good job, David. Now tell did God Himself (from Christian perspective. I know the Jews have a different point of reference), ever worship Jesus? Yes or no.
Are you saying it has remained exactly the same, from the time it was copied with less books fro the catholic's Douwy Bible?
Why was that refence to Jesus not made in the Gospels? I think Jesus will know him own position better that the best among his followers. We must take the words of Jesus about himself over any disciples or later apostles. Why is that Jesus had to leave first, before the qualifiers on earth began to call him all kinds of great names, when he did not call himself while on earth? bia don't twist the topic. I know taquiyah when I see it. where were you when nimshi was being pummeled last night. monday morning quarterback |

ALL NIGERIANS ARE FRAUDSTERS? ALL PRIESTS ARE PEDOPHILES? ALL MUSLIMS ARE EVILS?

The same way that make some IGNORANT think that All Nigerians are Fraudsters, is the same way that IGNORANT thinks that All Muslims are Terrorists.
Wake up! why are you putting words in my mouth? did I say all muslims are evils anywhere? please quote me those are your words o I no wan make person come dagger me for my posturepedic bed I said Islam is evil. and anyone who follows it like Mohammed practiced it will be evil.
