Oyinbos are using Osimhen's performance yesterday to drag Gyokeres and Isak for failing to score against Kosovo. I don see like 3 videos on TikTok.

Meanwhile, the way Galatasaray supporters take love Osimhen ehn, e eclipse Napoli fans by far.

Osimhen, Onyeka, the entire squad and the technical crew, ese gan.

Thank you for keeping our hopes alive yesterday.

We await Gabon.
😂😂😂
E sweet me die, especially after all the drama early this year with the transfer window. People were hailing Gyokeres like he was the second coming of Christ.

I'm one of the people who wasn't enthusiastic about Osimhen going to Turkey, but like I said, it matters little as long as he can deliver in our international games.

Yekini never played in a top club, yet he remains arguably top 2 or 3 Nigerian footballers till this day.

He doesn't necessarily need to be replaced.
He just needs to have quality competition ready to step up if he continues fumbling..
That knowledge should do the trick

We need maduka back and another quality keeper, maybe Okonkwo
True. Well I should have clarified. I meant "tentatively", not necessarily absolute.

Like I said, he's actually really good and he earned the number 1 spot against SA last year. But he's let it all go to his head.

Nwabali pride fit cost us card and even goals
Uzoho own at least he no go cost us unnecessary card
I'm also in support of Nwabali's replacement, but God forbid that the replacement will be Uzoho. Lol.

We have myriad of other options.

Maduka Okoye (this one is the obvious and easiest replacement to make now that he's available)
Arthur Okonkwo
Noah Atubolu (I hear he's eligible)
Obasogie
Harcourt
etc.

As in ehn, so unprofessional ...I was really disgusted
At this rate I'll take Uzoho over him oh.

A player that doesn't listen to teammates let alone his senior teammates is a waiting disaster

Same way he shoved off Bassey, the Bobo come dey look am like;
"you sure say this our keeper head correct?"
God forbid! Uzoho keh? Francis "Onana" Uzoho? Might as well play without a goal keeper. 😭

Nwabali is actually good. Pride and overconfidence is his biggest problem.

This is clearly a fixed match.

Fiacre Ntwari should be ashamed of himself.

Unfortunately these same teams turn into prime Bayern whenever they see Nigeria. Their eyes go red for people like Osimhen, but see the useless space they were giving Apollis.

This is why we can't afford to be complacent. Everyone (except our players sometimes) knows Nigeria is a world class threat that can run shoulders with the very best (Argentina, France etc) when they are on form. That's why these minnows don't take us lightly. Every match against us feels like a final for them.

Unfortunately, we on the other hand are always complacent with these small teams.

Our whooping of Benin last night just goes to show the kind of damage we can cause when we're playing to our full potential, or close to our full potential.

Here's a fun fact: Benin weren't actually terrible yesterday. They were quite decent. They actually created a lot of good chances against us, but they just weren't clinical or lethal enough. We were just too hot for them to handle.

What exactly is stopping us from calling Arthur Okonkwo? He is eligible to play for us straight away. He has been cleared by FIFA to switch. He has made himself available. He has been putting in decent performances in the championship. Why he hasn't been called is still a surprise to me. I have personally seen his game on a few occasions. He's better than Nwabali.
^^^Mgbo, pundits in the house, what's the hold up on Arthur? Or has Chelle not taken notice of him yet?

Osimhen and Chukwueze are a solid pair. I hope Chelle now realizes this moving forward.

And people here we're quick to criticize him and also blame him for the draw against Zimbabwe... I don't think Nigerians appreciate genuine act of service enough TBF.
We are our own biggest problem. The most annoying are those fans who don't even pay attention to Nigerian football unless Super Eagles are playing a major game on a major stage. There are many who aren't even paying attention to Nigeria's qualifying campaign. But watch them come and start mouthing off if Nigeria gets to the World Cup or the AFCON and don't play up their standards. They'll be calling for Chelle's head completely oblivious to the role that man has played in keeping our World Cup dreams alive.

Curacao in the playoffs? 😃😃

Lol, if Nigeria don't start exhibiting bipolar tendencies again, this playoffs should be a breeze.

I predict Costa Rica as our deciding game in March. They're roughly on par with Jamaica. If we could put Jamaica away with our B team, I'm sure we can beat Costa Rica if we face off.

Mybettingtips:

Watch our keeper

Nwabali needs to be talked to. Serious talk, his non chaplains attitude may cost us again. The ref didn’t blow his whistle yet he dropped the ball and the Benin guy scored a legit goal. Thank God the ref didn’t give the goal. That’s a big risk

Captain Ndidi went to talk to him, see the way he shuffled him away. At half time camera was on him and Ekong and they were seriously arguing. His ego may cost us big in future

A keeper that should ginger us by launching fast counters when we were in dire need of goals. He was busy wasting time sleeping on the ball. Thank God Frank the Tank got us the winning goal.
Will Maduka be available in November?

The intercontinental play offs has very lowly teams, and due to our FIFA ranking we will only play one game
To be honest, our chances of emerging as winners of the inter confederation playoffs is above 80%. We are in a very good position. I'm calling it now, if we secure the Africa ticket, we're going to the World Cup.

Lol. In many ways Jamaica are our American rivals. It will be interesting to face off against them again.

Somewhat wrong. If we had beaten Zimbabwe with all other results remaining as they were/are, we would have only needed a 1:0 win against Benin to top the group while South Africa would have gone for playoffs.
It would have been 19points for us.
You're missing the point and preaching to the choir. My point was more about the irony of how those disappointing games didn't completely sink the ship for us, like we expected.
