We already made 4 appearances before Ghana qualified for their first World Cup, now these guys are just 1 appearance away from catching up. Honestly we are not making any progress, we just dey deceive ourselves.
Four appearances? Besides 1994, 1998 and 2002, which other appearance did we make before Ghana first qualified in 2006?

It seems I'm the only one who isn't worried about our game tomorrow. I'm only concerned with the outcome of SA match against Rwanda.

Nothing will ever make me worry about a team coached by Rorh.
Lol, you're not the only one. For some reason, I'm not bothered about the Benin game. It's the Rwanda game I'm looking at. I'm not even looking at the playoffs. I just can't see Sudan resisting DR Congo. But you see that Rwanda game, if the Amavubi really turn up, they can even beat SA.

I'm getting this feeling of nervous excitement, similar to what I had the day before Nigeria played Morocco at the WAFCON finals. Like we're going to pull it off. I hope that's a good sign?

Angola just no gree

I bestow the spirit of their keeper upon Ntwari tomorrow
Angola is not even really a small team like that. If anything they underperformed in this game. Towards the ending, I was fully expecting them to score 1 before the full time whistle.

I'm starting to have mixed feelings about the upcoming game.

If we qualify, we get to go to the USA and appear on the big stage after 8 years. There's also something sentimental about returning to the country where we played our very first World Cup game. Not to mention, USA has always favored us in terms of football competitions:

1. The 1994 World Cup in USA was where we made the knockouts for the first time and almost made the quarters. We skyrocketed to the 5th best in the world after the tourney.

2. The 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics where Nigeria became the first African nation to win gold in football.

So for those reasons, it will be nice to return there. USA is almost like a second home too because of diaspora fans. There will be massive support base for us there.

But at the same time, if we don't qualify, the NFF will have nowhere to hide. Missing back to back World Cups will force all attention to fall upon the NFF. If we qualify the NFF would have hidden under the positive news to dilute and distract from the obvious problems that need to be solved in our football administration. There could be massive reforms made and we'd come back stronger. Hopefully.

So I don't know. I want us to qualify, but at the same time, if these criminals at NFF don't get a rude awakening to see how terrible they've been, they will keep using flashes of brilliance like our World Cup qualification as leverage that things are not as terrible as they are.

Long story short, whatever happens on Tuesday, I welcome it without complaints.

I had a nightmare today 😭

The Super Eagles were playing Benin, we were losing 2–1, then Osimhen hit the bar from outside the box, then one player like that, not our current player, but for the nightmare he sha play for us, his name is Renebeé (na wetin I see for the nightmare o), he came on and scored the equalizing goal. We come draw.

I was now calculating the table if we can still qualify, the next thing I see, na straight to penalties... Osimhen took the first and scored, Moffi scored, Ekong scored, Ndidi balloon him own go outside stadium...

My guy come wake me. I no come even know whether for the nightmare na Benin win the PSO or Nigeria... Headache just wan finish me this morning.
Chai. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Chelle has to grow some balls and bench Ekong again. I heard that Olakunle Olusegun guy is now in camp. Start him as full right back and bring Benjamin back to his natural position as center back. Get rid of Bruno and bring in Zaidu.

Also we need the midfield to be stacked. Chukwueze and Uche should start, with Ndidi, Iwobi and Onyeka. Moses Simon can come in from the bench to maintain the pace and energy later in the game when our players legs are tired.

As for Nwabali, he has to start unfortunately. I can't vouch for any other keeper in the list. If only Maduka was around.

Private individual forsaw this Play offs loophole, but our technicall team at NFF were not even aware. If you watch the Burkina match, you coould see that they have read the table and understood that they needed goals. But our own we were just jonsing against Rwanda and Lesotho. People wey we suppose thump at least 3-0 each.
Same thing happened with the double yellow card issue, the team technical crew were not even aware, until private individual fans noticed it. Honestly if we want pur football to move forward, we need to protest in the NFF office and chase away all those guys at NFF they have killed Nigeriam football completely
I swear. E don reach to protest.

Cameroon can be notorious bottlers sometimes, so this one can go either way. Although to me this Angola side are not looking as impressive as they were in the last AFCON

This one most Nigerian journalist alongside Sunday oliseh are trying to to push propaganda and agenda.. that Nigeria was caused by Erico in 2002 before the world cup after his sack... Hence the reason Nigeria football is declining

After world cup qualifiers we talk that one... Do these people know the psychological effect it can have on both fans and players at this crucial moment?

I watched the video. I actually like Oliseh and I sometimes enjoy seeing his analysis but that thing he said was just dumb. We like spiritualizing trivial things in this country and that's why we don't take responsibility for our actions because we've made ourselves believe certain things are not in our control.

Lol. It's not just him. South Africans are crying online about the players too. They're complaining that their senior team is being taken over by Orlando Pirates players and that Pirates players are beefing with Chiefs and Sundowns.

This is what we want. Let them keep running around like headless chickens and keep crying over spilled milk instead of focusing on the present. I'm just praying that Rwanda will visit them with satanic football. A disoriented and disorganized South Africa have been an easy target historically, even for minnows.

We are going to the world cup guys..

Congratulations...

1-Initially, no one expected Zimbabwe to take a point from South Africa, we expected them to be whipped. Rwanda gan gan was our initial spoiler against SA. It hasn't changed.

2- Also with the way we've wobbled, struggled to impress, drawing 5 matches, scoring 1 goals per match, using 3 different coaches, south Africa playing all home matches etc... No team should even be thinking of qualifying with all this bruhaha..

3- - 3 point deduction from SA.

Plus I should add that calamitous mistake by Nwabali /Ajayi... By all means, that ball suppose stroll inside net make we kuku know say no show for us. But it went out and we are in the race...

Is not beans to top group, but Benin is not Ghana. We will beat them more than 2 goals.

Rwanda is the MAIN guys.
True. The stars are aligning for the Super Eagles.

Not saying the Benin game will be a walkover, but for some reason I'm far more worried about the South Africa v Rwanda game. We wrote Zimbabwe off and even suggested they were selling the game, but they proved us wrong. Now, all of a sudden, we're confident that Rwanda, the supposedly "better" team than Zimbabwe will finish SA off.

But who's to say we wouldn't be surprised again (unpleasantly this time)? How seriously are Rwanda taking this game?

Woh- all I'm asking for is that Rwanda holds SA to a draw at least. I'm not asking for much. 🤧

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by QueenJazz(f): 8:05am On Oct 12, 2025
As we are praying to beat Benin let us be praying for Rwanda to beat or draw SA too. Because if we use mistake and win Benin, and SA win their match, we will never hear the end of it for the next 1 year until the World Cup comes and goes. They'll banter us that we helped them qualify by stopping Benin. 😂😂

That's why I'm low-key hoping that the Benin game will end in a decisive win for either Nigeria or Benin. I don't want a draw. If we win, provided Madagascar or Burkina Faso underperform, we're at least guaranteed the playoffs. If we lose, Benin goes ahead of SA.

If you like, say I'm supporting Benin. Na you sabi. But that's how much I hate these xenophobic clowns. 🤧
