Whether we qualify or not. This WCQ campaign is definitely one for the history books, if only for the twists and turns (SA points deduction, Zimbabwe clutch game vs SA, Eritrea etc) |

COOL10: I see us scoring two early goals in the first half. The players will be excited, Nigerians will be celebrating only for Benin to make it 2:1 before the first half ends. In the second half, we'll probably make it 3:1 and then Benin will score a late second goal thereby making it 3:2 OR Benin will make it 2:2 and the match ends that way.
That match will be one of a kind. Hmmm. Knowing our team under Eric Chelle so far, I'm not expecting anything tangible coming out of the first half. It's in the second half that the entire drama will start. |

semid4lyfe: Edit: If South Africa loses or draws against Rwanda, any 1 goal victory (2-1, 3-2, 4-3 etc) will see us go through because we'd be tied on goal difference with Benin Republic and the tie breaker will be:
Most goals scored away from home in all the group matches between Nigeria and Benin.
Currently, Nigeria has scored 6 away goals while Benin Republic has 4 away goals. I see. |

semid4lyfe: Any victory provided S/A loses or draws takes us to the world cup. 3-2 means Benin will qualify on away goals. We need a win with clean sheet or 2 goals difference like 3-1 or 4-2. |

COOL10: Tuesday's match against Benin will be bloody. I see a 2:2 draw or 3:2 win for Nigeria. The only problem is South Africa's match against Rwanda. They'll do all they can to win because they're playing at home. Even Moetsepe the President of CAF (who's a South African) may be present in the stadium that day. Wuruwuru go plenty that day. Everything points to a South African victory.
This is why I hate Permutations and Combinations. I don't joke with my peace of mind. God forbid o. I reject 3-2 for us o. If Benin score a single goal against us - just one - then we're in big trouble. |

mekabuachi: Hugo Broos: “Maybe Benin will lose in Nigeria or maybe with goal difference. I don’t have a good view on that at the moment. But we just have to go for the victory against Rwanda and then see what happens.”
“We have to play just like against Zimbabwe and try to win the game. Then try to see what happens if everything is as it has to be. The dodo already sounds defeated. After making foolish comments some weeks back. God abeg infuse Rwanda with bad belle energy let them kick the sand over these people's coffin. Thank God say that their star boy for back don comot. Rwanda suppose mend them wetin no good for that backline. |

TheSuperNerd, BankyGee, Mujtahida and other pundits in the house. Are you sure we shouldn't play this game sitting deep and hitting on the counter? We must not concede any goals at all o. |

Arizoner: you agent of doom, leave this here. Your wish shall not come to pass. Who are these people coming here spew negativity and expecting to see Nigeria at the world cup? I baind you Did you even watch the game yesterday? There's a difference between being negative and being realistic. We don't take chances and we're not clinical. That's a brutal fact that has been evident over the last couple of games. The first step to fixing an error is recognizing it. It's not by binding and casting like a dodo. |

Cocony: Wrong assertion. Your one goal is needed theory is not absolute as it depends first on Madagascar, Burkina Faso, and Uganda not picking 3 points in their respective games and fourthly depends on South Africa drawing or losing, and fifthly in case CAF makes a U TURN on Head-to-Head it depends on our not getting more yellow cards.
We can thrash Benin Republic irrespective of the appalling abyssmal displays in the past. Getting a 4:0 win should be our goal should per adventure we concede late or need goal difference to get into the playoffs. I was strictly talking of direct qualifications. Provided South Africa doesn't get full 3 points, we need only 1 goal against Benin to top the table (provided we don't concede). Even if we score 7, as long as South Africa wins, we're not going anywhere. Yes, I'm already aware that qualifying through the playoffs relies on a lot more, and this is why I've said it before that qualifying directly is easier. That being said, where I agree with you is the number of goals we need. The reality is that if South Africa bottle it again, we really just need a single goal against Benin. But knowing how abysmal we are at keeping clean sheets, then I'll agree that yes. We need at least 3 goals to be able to breathe and relax. |

BankyGee: But Peseiro couldn't win these teams! Una no dey see?
Where the phucck was Nigeria before Chelle? 3 points in 4 games! NO GAMES WON! NO GAMES WON!
This is not the time to play beautiful football, how many days have they gotten to train before matches, 3 at most, sometimes 2... JUST WIN YOUR EFFING games first, qualify and then there'll be enough time to discuss tactics
Them carry two coaches messes give new coach and he's done well so far but fans still dey find wetin no loss. Yes Chelle has been making some funny decisions here and there, but he's the one, HE'S THE ONE still keeping those calculators on your hands till present. It's like y'all don't know this man hasn't lost a game with the Super Eagles after 8 games played. REST IN JESUS NAME! REST! The bolded is true sha. Although I must say e get some kind simple in-game decisions wey no need too much overthinking. Like starting Chukwueze who's more creative and unpredictable than Simon. But overall you have a point. That's why like I said before, no matter how horrible this campaign is, I still insist on Eric Chelle for 2025 AFCON. For me it's too early to start talking of sacking and re-hiring. |

After our shambolic outing yesterday, if we even win Benin at all, the best I can see us getting is a 1-0 victory. And it'll probably come from another penalty. Thankfully only 1 goal is needed. |

What platform can I go and discuss "peacefully" with south Africans... I just wan check their morale Those urchins don't even have a chat forum to banter in. That's why they camp here like almajiris. The best place to find them is Twitter probably. |

Just went back to watch the rematch and I'm 100% sure Nwabali is fixing these games. I can almost bet my life on it.
That theory is also strengthened by the fact that he plays in South Africa. Who's to say he wasn't pleaded with to sabotage our campaign by any means?
I'm flipping serious. He must be investigated.
At this stage, I'll even prefer Harcourt in goal. At least he'll be keeping with good intentions. |

I just dey laugh. So the South African player that got the red card is that Mbokazi boy that South Africa were using to mock us, that he marked Lookman out in our last game.
This one sweet me. Their defense go porous without that boy. Hopefully Rwanda will finish the job. |

Unlimited22: If we beat them 1-0, they will have a better goal difference.
Does H2H count BEFORE goal difference? That's the question. Actually they won't. Goal difference now: Benin: +5 Nigeria: +3 If we win 1-0.... Benin: -1 Nigeria: +1 Which means Benin: 5-1: 4 Nigeria: 3+1: 4 And like LoneCitizen said, we'll actually be ahead based on away goals, provided: WE DON'T CONCEDE. But given the defensive maestros we have in Ekong and Nwabali... |

lovewins: Not exactly.
A 1-0 win puts us at same point with same goal difference as Benin (including same GF and GA). I think head to head then applies here and Benin wins by head to head I think
A 2-0 win puts us same point and +1 ahead of Benin and should be enough to qualify us
Of course all this is consequent on another South Africa draw or loss. I wish someone will just advise the Rwanda team to park the bus on the 14th. |

I swear if that guy face proper European or SouthAmerican players he will be exposed I don't know where the foolish pride is coming from. The best performance I've seen from him is still that semi final match against SA. Every game since then, he has just been there for me. |
