He contracted it through sex.
He was in the Army and till date, HIV and other STIs are very rampant in the military.
Certain jobs can increase chances of getting infected with HIV.
A student, when I was taught that being a military personnel put people at risk of contracting HIV, I didn't quite understand until I did my NYSC at a Naval Clinic.
You mean sodiers have rampant unprotected s3x? What was your experience at the Naval clinic that opened your eyes?

Now, you have admitted yourself that he was a spineless coward.
My friend he was a 30-year-old complete nobody soldier merely a year before that. Then Aguiyi elevated him, then coup plotters installed him. Not that he was ambitious himself and planned a coup. He was totally surprised himself to go from a nobody to HOS within a year. So it was not cowardice at all, it was just that he was basically a 31-year-old soldier with no experience about these things dealing with very experienced and very educated men in their sixties. Who was he to argue with them?? On what basis exactly? Of course he was quite happy being just a ceremonial HOS per Aburi. That's way more than he ever expected or aspired to be!

Far from it.

Not true. Go and watch Gowon's statements durring the war. You'll get his mindset. He viewed Igbos as his brothers all through the war and even refused to award any medals for war galantry. He also would have even agreed with implementation of Aburi and devolution of powers to the regions (he wasn't all that ambitious about being a powerful center), but those perm secs and others around him would never allow that.

Gowon a murderer.
You killed millions of innocent Biafran children.
You illiterate that didn't understand the meaning of confederation.
In all fairness, I actually think Gowon was a very decent young man, and was neither a bigot nor a tribalist at all

Uchek:
Totally agree with Bernard Shaw. Gowon’s will be the OGAPATAPATA of them all.
If I were him I'd make myself soo innocent and blameless you'd be wondering how such a righteous man even joined the military grin

I googled "how old is Gowon?" Below is what came up

I’ve read several memoirs about the first coup and the civil war. I won’t mind reading his account as well even if it’s a lie.
Here's a popular lie already below. He said he signed Aburi accord because he was sick as a dog, didn't know what he was doing.
He was videoed hale and hearty, laughing more than anyone else! If anything, it was Ojukwu that looked sick.
Still, in all fairness, I actually think Gowon was a very decent young man, and was neither a bigot nor a tribalist at all

So why are you contradicting yourself by telling us here again that Jesus reffered to "Hell" in Luke 16:23, 24 when he clearly reffered to "Hades" as evident in the screenshot below.

The screenshot below has revealed that you are an inconsistent and fraudulent teacher and your next response will deserve a block from me.

Words of someone who lost!😅🤣🤣

In losing at least you learnt something. Next time someone tells you some churches won't make heaven because they have images, tell them they themselves are going to hell because they don't keep the Sabbath and some of the other 613 laws in the Old Testament!

Modern biblical scholarship suggests that an anonymous Jewish sage likely wrote the book of Ecclesiastes centuries after Solomon's death (likely between 450 and 250 BC), using Solomon as a philosophical persona or mouthpiece

So in a nutshell you fabricated what you said there was no time God asked people to keep any Sabbath before the time of Israelites entering the promise land!🙂
My friend there was no time God asked people to keep any of the other laws neither. God's laws were in effect right from creation. That some were later given to Moses in written form doesn't mean that's when they started.
You still haven't told us where Sabbath was abolished or stated to be only for Jews.

True, but easier said than done? Spare me the lazy cliché. Hindsight is 20/20 for people who sit on the sidelines offering nothing but recycled skepticism. Some companies crashed while trying to adapt, yes, and many more died slowly because they clung to what they knew best while the world moved on.

And let's address the real insult here, questioning my source and smugly declaring "we know you didn't write this." That's not critique, that's intellectual laziness dressed up as wisdom. I wrote every single word of that article myself. Writing isn't a hobby for me, it's my passion. I don't churn out AI slop or copy-paste from Google. I bleed on the page so that one single person who needs it might feel seen, challenged, or inspired. Not for clout-chasers looking for "frontpage worthy" crumbs.
If you can't engage with the ideas without throwing weak doubt at the author's integrity, that's on you. Next time, try wrestling with the substance instead of projecting your own shortcuts onto others.
I commend you if you truly wrote it and I apologize. Only that I've previously seen those same words on other write-ups by people who make money from content.

I wrote this below myself:

LESSONS FROM BLACKBERRY, KODAK, ETC
If you refuse to disrupt yourself, someone else eventually will.
This is why:
• businesses must evolve before they’re forced to
• convenience beats tradition
• customer behavior changes faster than corporations
• protecting old revenue can destroy future growth
• industries collapse slowly… then suddenly
• comfort is dangerous in fast-moving markets

The biggest risk in business
is believing your current dominance guarantees future relevance.

Success creates emotional attachment.
And emotional attachment creates blind spots.

The systems that made you successful yesterday
can quietly become the systems holding you back tomorrow.

Because markets reward adaptation…
not nostalgia.

And history is filled with companies
that invented the future…
then watched someone else profit from it.

This is really funny walahi talahi!🙂

OK because God said He rested on the seventh day He commanded people also to do the same before Israelites were chosen shey?
Please show me where God mention the Sabbath before the time Israel o!🙂
You are the one roaringly funny!😂😅🤣
Please show us where God mentioned thou shall not kill before the time of Israel or any of the 613 commandments for that matter. Better yet, show us where Sabbath was abolished or stated to be only for Jews - bearing in mind the Lord said he came to fulfill the Law not abolish it!

CaseSensitive:
What's the relevance of Nigeria's economy here? And by the way, China is not holding $3.4 trillion. The $3 trillion dollars includes other holdings like Euro, Yen etc. China held $1.3 Trillion exclusively in 2013, now it's reduced to about half of that, never to be held in trillions again.

Reducing USD holding is not a race, it's a strategic and calculated statecraft.
Nigeria is for context. China holds 3 times the entire Nigerian economy in US dollars! See it below

Applies to life in general.
True, but easier said than done. Hindsight is always 20/20. There are also companies who tried to embrace change or disruption quickly instead of sticking to what they know best, and went down!
