I have been using redmi note 8, it's 6 weeks now. However I notice it's display colour fades, especially when I get back indoors after being outside (mostly ok sunny days). It looks faded, like a wash off. It's weird cause I didn't experience this with redmi note3 so I don't understand.

We acquired a piece of land in Ogun state last year, Nov. It's a corner piece. Im not sure about the measurement, but it definitely can't accommodate this project you have going on on this thread. The land can only take about three bedrooms. Duplex. Not spacious.

We are currently at the lintel level, and we have started making estimates for the decking level, but what we got shocked me. The carpenter wants to collect #180k for artistry and woods, while the iron seller estimated two tonnes of iron at #250k each. It's quite shocking, but We ensure to do a thorough investigation of any estimation before paying.
DH tried another iron seller, and he said a ton only cost #205k.

im still not satisfied because going through your thread, you never mentioned buying tonnes of iron, only lengths if im correct. Why should we use two tonnes of iron to deck this small house haba?

Perspective! Maybe you should go for flagship devices since you are after cameras. What is good for you might be bad for others and vice versa. Never be moved by mega pixel count on cameras, picture quality largely does not depend on mega pixels just like larger ram does not determine speed of phones. For example the Redmi note 4 with 13mp outperforms the Redmi note 3 pro with 16mp. Coming from the note 3, maybe you actually expected a really huge upgrade with the cameras. Having said that, the Redmi note series starting with the Redmi note 5 offer better camera experience than any other phone with similar price bracket, it became even better starting from the note 7 because gcam can just be downloaded and used without any tweak, since camera2api is enabled out of the box. This is the real hype behind the cameras. The Redmi note 7 has a very good camera, the pro is even far better, that your friend said otherwise doesn't mean much afterall someone said the Samsung Galaxy A70 has a better camera than the Oneplus 7 pro some days back, fast forward to today, she is completely blown away by the cameras of the Mi 9T, it completely floored the A50 and A70 (side by side comparisons were made).

I guess I leveled up on the camera cause I was coming from note 3. But I have used different phones in between, and yes, you are right, the MP count doesn't matter.
So far, I got most of what I need from this device. The camera will do just fine until maybe I want more. And yeah, i'm over satisfied lol.

As for the battery, yeah im petty like checking every seconds to see how much my hubby's phone battery drain when compared to mine. And no significant difference even though I have over 60% data on mine over his.

After using Redmi note 3 for about two years, I have finally joined the note 8 team ( and also added DH to the Xiaomi community, he is impressed).
Well, so far, note 8 has been refreshing.
Not much review now, but its most outstanding feature isn't so exceptional after all.
I have had a better camera from oppo with much lesser specs .12mp, which I will rate 8.5/10.
Well, maybe it was just the hypes with note 8 48mp.

I read some comments here about a girl's opinion of the note 8's camera, and some guys here were saying she probably doesn't know what good camera means.
I felt wow, note 8 must be so high then.
Not until I handled mine. Its 48mp isn't exactly what I expected. 7.3/10.
The front camera is out of it!.
But all the same, it's a significant upgrade from my note 3.
I think the note series generally don't have great cameras. Forget the number dem dey write for MP.
And yeah, I know what a good phone camera is and does.

The speed is incredible. I'm still finding it hard to use this on-screen buttons sha. If I need to click the space bar, sometimes I got the home button lol. And no, I got tiny fingers.
The sound is excellent and loud.
The phone is sleek.
We got blue and black colours. I love blue, but I got black.

Second option, if option one doesn't work out, try importing the battery from American sites ( especially eBay); bacause the shipping fee will be much lower than that from Chinese sites.

yes, thank you. I noticed American sites do not charge much for shipping. I saw a page where shipping is free sef but there's a clause on shipping to naija. I have tried contacting the seller. As for searching at CV, I don't even wanna go there. I saw a battery on konga @6k. If the eBay seller sends to naija, I will just go for that.

@timsilver thanks boss. Maybe you are right. I have left the phone over several months. However, I charged it till full on the day the screen arrived. I didn't put it on though, but it showed the green notification. So battery couldn't have been dead. I tried charging with another charger, it still blinks though. I don't know what I did, I know I removed the battery clip, blew some air into it and cleaned it swab. I plugged the phone, and it started charging. Phone is on now. So maybe the new charger decided to perform wonders now or my little engineering skill has paid off but the battery drains very fast sha. I am thinking of updating the OS though. I'm still on 8.0. However, I will keep using this till I order a new battery.
