^^^ 1st cor 13vs 44-45 Says women should keep quiet. .a law by paul But in ; 1cor 11vs5 But every woman that prayeth or prophetsieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her Head ... Another law by paul; It shows women really shouldnt keep quiet, except if you mean no words are being uttered during prophecy.. Huh?! Maybe we should leave the story of moses coz he rescued only the isrealites.. Or Jesus, coz he was a nazerene?! 1st cor 13 vs 44-45 was a LAW.. directed to some set of people!! Mal 3vs 10 was a LAW directed to some sets of people Picking verses to suit ourselves is whats gon kill christainity.. Since you believe 1st cor 13vs 44-45 was directed to all women, why not check other verses?!.. Even the one in tim,was directed to the HOME!, Why are men(yeah!) Holding just the two verses inspired by a man, when there are many other verses negating it? Why? Anyways #sighs... ok,women shouldnt teach in church, please tell that to YOUR woman not ANY woman.. Im outta here, you havent even provided verses to prove those were God's inspired law..you got any at all? Now we talking about law,hes bringing in stories.. We follow God's words and learn from the characters.. those verses you dropped are lessons/guildance of person's to learn from(david was a great man whos always praising God,job still in the times of trouble praise God,luke a parable those who wanna learn follows, revelation directed to the seven churches of asia, during their time of persecution and fear.. to be learnt by ALL) .be a nigerian, asian! It dont matter. Learn from the characterand FOLLOW the laws BY GOD. But when its comes to law(God's inspired law,we follow!) And not some man made laws.. Im under grace sha, above all laws! esp if its directed to some specific people.SMH..infact we should leave the whole bible since we are nigerians,or what do you think? LOL!Lol@nihilism... huh? Here? Hmm maybe have forgotten the meaning faa! .. |
Yes! Tell that next person beside you about CHOLERA,its no news its killing lots of children/peolpe in Nigeria and other developing/under developed countries.. Cholera is a disease caused by bacteria that produce a watery diarrhea that can rapidly lead to dehydration Syptoms: Cholera infection is often mild or without symptoms, but can sometimes be severe. Approximately one in 20 (5%) infected persons will have severe disease characterized by profuse watery diarrhea, vomiting, and legcramps. In these people, rapid loss of body fluids leads to dehydration and shock. Without treatment, death can occur within hours. Cholera symptoms and signs include a rapid onset of copious, smelly diarrhea that resembles rice water and may lead to signs ofdehydration (for example, vomiting, wrinkled skin, low blood pressure, dry mouth, rapid heart rate). How long does it takes for the syptoms to appear: It can take anywhere from a few hours to 5 days for symptoms to appear after infection. Symptoms typically appear in 2-3 days. How is cholera transmitted: Cholera is most frequently transmitted by water sources contaminated with the causative bacteriumVibrio cholerae, although contaminated foods, especially raw shellfish, may also transmit the cholera-causing bacteria. Human-human transmission is uncommon. Who is at more risk of cholera: Some individuals are at higher risk to become infected than others. People who are malnourished or immune-compromised are more likely to get the disease. Children ages 2-4 seem more susceptible than older children, according to some investigators. In addition, researchers have noted that patients with blood type O are twice more likely to develop cholera than others. The reason for this blood type susceptibility is not completely understood. Peoplewith achlorhydria (reduced acid secretion in the stomach) and people taking medicines to reduce stomach acid (H2 blockers and others) are also more likely to develop cholera because stomach acid kills many types of bacteria, includingV. cholerae. Prevention: The BCPFS; boil it. Drink and brush teeth only with water that has been boiled or treated with chlorine or iodine tablets. Safedrinks include coffee and tea made with boiling water or carbonated bottled water and carbonated soft drinks.Cook it. Eat only thoroughly cooked foods, and eat them while they are still hot. Avoid eating food from street vendors.Peel it. Eat only fruit or nuts with a thick intact skin or shell that is removed immediately before eating.Forget it. Do not eat raw foods such as oysters or ceviche. Avoid salads and raw vegetables. Do not use untreated ice cubes in otherwise safe drinks.Stay out of it. Do not swim or fish in polluted water. An an emphasis, important preventive measures at the community level include provision of adequate portablewater, provision for the safe disposal of human feces and good food hygiene. Treatment: The main treatment for cholera is fluid and electrolyte replacement, both oral and IV. Antibiotics usually are used in severe infections in which dehydration has occurred. The prognosis of cholera ranges from excellent to poor. Rapid treatment with fluid andelectrolytesresult in better outcomes while people with other health problems beside cholera or those who are not rapidly replenished with fluid treatments tend to have a poorer prognosis.Cholera can be prevented with appropriate measures such as safedrinking water and noncontaminated foods; some protection can be obtained from oral vaccines while avoiding areas where cholera commonly occurs or has had a recent outbreak. Cholera, is a recurent epidemic in Nigeria! ; 24,519 cholera cases and 484 deaths have been reported in 17 countries in West and Central Africa in 2013 -- 64 per cent less than last year.. -.There has been a 100 per cent increase in the number of reported cholera cases in Nigeria in October as compared to September.*.The current hotspots are: (1) Nigeria, (2) Guinea Bissau, (3) DRC, (4) Guinea and Sierra Leone (5) Togo and Benin – ranked in order of importance. Help put a stop by telling the next person how dangerous those dirts in the homes, surroundings can be. Dont allow that person squat there by the road side to deaficate(if he refuses, dont hesitate to give him a knock on the head) Tell mothers/fathers/guidances/teachers to make sure they and their kids rinse their hands after visiting the toilet...and before/after eating. Thank you! |
Dantedasz: The Holy Bible.yes bro! Except if your defination of 'inspire' differs... That law paul gave was inspired by the happenings in the church of corinth..and NOT by God. And how is the bible ya proof? Timothy? I LOL too bro |
shamson: 1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keeplol alfa!.. Im not married(as that passage refers to the married ones) Im not a corinth(as that passage refers to a corinth married woman ONLY) Im not under that law(im flexing under grace) And even if i should be under such a law,its should be a God inspired one not corinthians inspired law ![]() So alfa, that passage has nothing to do with me |
shamson: May be this will answer some of the questions of imperfection in the bible as created by apostle PAUL............good one bro... What baffles me concerning this particular issue,is why we allow ourselves to be brought under another law(by paul; women must not teach in church) Whats the significance of Jesus's death?!.. |
2good: I thought the bible was 100% inspired by god i.e it is the word of god spoken and written through man. Christians just like selective picking of the bible to suit their ulterior motive. From your posts, it means that part of the bible are just the opinion of some men like Paul. If that is the case, then the entire bible should be banned for being the most confusing and deceitful book ever created by man.bros, the bible CONTAINS the words of God.. And not,the bible IS the words of God... The bible is more like a guide...a record of religious tradition, moralcode, and theological teaching, compiled by multiple authors over the course of more than a thousand years.(inspired by God to write, with the HS bringing into remebrance) Even paul himself after giving his opinions made it known that some were his OWN opinions. Not every body believes this tho.. That verse on women's silence is a law of paul inspired by paul himself. There is a diff between plenary inspiration and verbal inspiration.. Plenary--- “full, complete, entire.” Generally, the term is employed to emphasize that all of the respective components of the Scriptures were given by God. This means that the Bible’s historical depictions are true, that incidental scientific references are factual as well, and, in a word, that all biblical documents are completely accurate. Verbal---contends that the Spirit of God guided the holy writers so that the very grammatical modes they employed were divinely orchestrated in order to convey subtle meanings of truth. In his own WORDS... Paul here, wasnt saying God's law... he made that law by himself cozza the happenings in the churrch of corinth.. True, the bible is fully inspired but do WE interprete them well? Paul here(in the letter to the corinthians)was referring to the women(married) of corinth but we missed to refer to all women.. In timothy... he was referring to the home but still we took it to refer to church!! Something tells me you are an unbeliever, goodluck with that |
Dantedasz: @quivah,Bro bro,God dint inspire that law..at all! What ya proof? |
Mujah1deen: Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illallah “I bear witness that there is no god except Allah” Wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rasulullah “And I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”.... LOL!!! What a joke ![]() |
#singing... There is no other way by Nicole.. Nice song ![]() |
^^^ however,we'ld rather we die as sons and daughters than as slaves |
Dantedasz: @quivah,joking? Coz i inserted some smileys?.. i dont have to be aggressive to pass a message accross na.. LOL now back to you; Was paul's letter on women's silence inspired by God? |
i thank baba God,paul wasnt Jesus... |
Dantedasz: Wow! Dantedasz: Was Paul inspired by God to instruct women to remain silent?^^^ hope you remember that was the q you asked?!.. That law on women silence in church was paul's own law ..The smileys,i expected you to see them.. |
Dantedasz: Sweetheart, his own laws ..His own inspirations ![]() |
Dantedasz: I am quite sure you are joking.far from joking!! brother, its clear hes speaking for himself in that passage... ![]() Btw,paul's words show hes a sexist..which of his words favour women more than men? Huh? Christainity as a whole is interesting na ![]() |
1st cor 13vs 44-45 Says women should keep quiet. .a law by paul But in ; 1cor 11vs5 But every woman that prayeth or prophetsieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her Head ... Another law by paul; It shows women really shouldnt keep quiet, except if you mean no words are being uttered during prophecy.. While Paul wrote his response (our Scriptures of 1Corinthians) BACK to the Corinthian church, he previously and thoroughly read THEIR LETTER that they sent to him ─ 1Corinthians 7:1, "Now concerning things whereof YOU WROTE UNTO ME...." In fact, he wrote down parts of their letter back to them and rebuked them for their foolish teachings.Paul established through his entire letter and particularly in chapters 11 thru 14 that there is no difference between a male and female being appointed and/or receiving the gifts, callings and offices of Christ. Before he wrote down their "foolish scripture" that they wrote to him, he wrote this preface: "God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints" (1Corinthians 14:33). Then in verses 34-35 he repeated what they first wrote to him: "Let your women keep silent in the churches:for it is not permitted unto them tospeak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also says the Law. And if they will learn any thing let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church."Immediately after Paul wrote this, the next word he wrote was,"WHAT?" (v36). In the Greek, the word "what" is a negative disclaimer. We would say, "What, are you nuts?" Paul said, "What? Came the word of God out from you? Or did it come unto you only?" (v36). Meaning, that the previous statement that he wrote from the letter he received from them referring that women are to keep silent in the church was not from God at all. In fact, it was pure silliness. He just got done writing in a few paragraphs previous to this what we now know as 1Corinthians 11:1-16, establishing that when women prophesy or pray in the church they are to have their heads covered. "But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered…." needs to put on her head covering and then it would be acceptable (1Corinthians 11:5). Praying and prophesying involves "speaking," so it is obvious Paul was refuting this idea that it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.2 Tim 2:9-15 does not mention a gathering for worship and is probably discussing matters in the family setting where we know a husband is head of his wife, therefore he would be the one teaching the family. Note the reference to childbearing in verse 15 is not a church matter but a private family matter. Also, Paul was not saying a woman could not teach a man. The law in cor, definately was for the people of cor, probable because of the ways their churches were going.. And besides, the passage was talking about married women...not all women..of corinthians Women are allowed to preach in ALL gatherings if they are appointed. |
ebode: In our daily lives as christain our major duty is to imitate christ. Wen christ chose his disciple only men where selected. Wen he fed the people with 5 loaf of bread and 2 fish only men. There are oda example, so its not just Paul opinion, even master Jesus left a legacy we should follow. Dont miss read the bible to prove ur stupid opinion. Dat is of u undastand simple englishwhat are you saying?!.. Jesus dint chose those 12 coz they were men . Have you been reading your bible?! And Jesus fed only men with 5 breads and 2 fishes ![]() Huh?? We should simply conclude,Jesus and God are for men alone! |
Dantedasz: I advise you to read 1st Timothy chapter 2 from begining to the end. You might learn from it.it shows how paul was/is a sexist ..Women are not permitted to preach in church coz of eve hahaha #smh4 christainity |
babywhale: Guys pause a while and think: how come all 12 apostles were males even when Jesus had close female followers like Mary and co?was mary a follower? And who are the other closed 'co' followers? There were women among the 120 disciples |
