You will never know until you try. No one can accurately predict your chances. Do well in your tests. Read this thread and also use useful resources in order to submit a good application. Apply early. You will be fine. Cheers. Alobay: |
Oops sorry about that. He wanted me to succeed and was always happy to write a recommendation for me. My Nigerian lecturers needed to be reminded with recharge card. Lol Glocal1: |
Yes you have to mail the school. That's your best source of authentic information. kacey007: |
It wasn't so easy to be honest. I had like five recommenders from my UG and PG. My masters degree supervisor was fond of me so he gladly filled them for me.He filled all the ten for me without complaining. Glocal1: |
Religion is really the opium of the people. I'm just curious, if Moh'd Salah was ill and he really needed to take his medications, he won't eat? His total fast becomes invalid? Smh |
Transcript evaluation? You can use WES. Their evaluation is fair. https://www.wes.org/evaluations-and-fees/ Bukyolami: |
I see them on websites like researchgate, Quora, LinkedIn etc. I follow research in my field so I tend to come across such information oluwaniyi66: |
VO: Good morning. Please pass me your passport and 1-20. Me: Good morning VO: I can see that you're going to Texas A and M University, College Station for a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering. ME:Yes PhD Mechanical Engineering VO:Interesting. Tell me about your past academic experiences Me:I had my first degree at the University of Benin and had my masters at UCL. VO: Where did you do your masters degree? Me:I did my masters at UCL. VO: London? Me:Yes VO: What have you been doing since then? Me:I work for a XYZ ..... VO: (cut in).... You have a UK work visa ? Me:Yes VO: Tell me about your research Me:My research is about qwertyuioplkjhgfdssa (Details are boring. You won't need it lol) VO: Who's your supervisor? Me: Professor XYZ VO: How many schools did you apply to? Me: 10 VO: Name them. Me: TAMU,Stanford, UCLA,TTU,MTU,UOA,UVA,RPI, OSU and WSU VO: Your visa has been approved. Read this and do what's right to avoid been denied entry to the USA. Have a nice day. Me: Thank you Thanks to everyone on this thread. |
Visa approved! I will share my transcripts later today. |
Congrats lady reDazey |
Lol. Trump won't care though. |
That's none of our business. They should focus on what they were elected to do. |
Indians are also denied visas as well. They are also scrutinized well. I don't know the forum you checked but many of them don't get their F1 visas too. The Indians and the Chinese have migration intent and it is also well known to the visa officers. From what I have noticed from different visa transcripts, nothing is cast in stone concerning certain things. Everything is at the discretion of the VO. Having a relative in the USA could hamper or better one's chances. kikky91: |
For a moment, I thought it was Victor Moses ! Get well soon, Moses Simon. |
Yeah. Some can barely get an appointment date yet some others have been interviewed multiple times in a short while. I think that's what they are trying to fix. LagosismyHome: |
Are You sure about this ? A woman who's a former visa officer on Quora (Kathryn Berck) said there's nothing like Quota for student visas. She said it does exist for visa categories like H1-B. Ijebuboy525: |
You pay to collect certificate ? That's rubbish. |
PhD student - Immersion cooling of microelectronic devices- Université de Sherbrooke We are looking for creative, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and qualified PhD students to work on reliability of microelectronic packaging. The goal of this project is to develop a new type of highly efficient cooling technology for advanced electronic devices. This cooling technology is based on immersing the semiconductor device into a dielectric liquid, to benefit from its vaporization phase change to carry heat away from the device efficiently(pool boiling). This approach has been studied before, in relatively simple implementations, which clearly demonstrates its impressive thermal performances. However, immersion cooling has not yet reached its full commercial potential because of two technological issues. The first issue is the so-called boiling crisis, a complex phenomenon involving the flux of heat, liquid and vapor which limits the thermal performances and create stability issues. The second issue is the reliability risk created by immersing electronic components which have not been designed for this purpose, and which might be subjected to new failure mechanisms because of immersion. --Responsibilities and Duties- PhD student will analyze immersion cooling technology compatible with industry requirements(reliability, thermal performance, integration, cost). Optimize using appropriate IC power control algorithms. This research will be conducted in a dynamic multidisciplinary team, with the participation of two industrial partners. The Université de Sherbrooke is a Canadian leader in terms of industrial collaborations, where students get to experience both academic and industrial research environments. --Qualifications and Skills— • Master degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering. • Familiar with microelectronics reliability and microelectronic failure analysis. • Strong computer programming. • Good communication skill and team work Having this additional skill is an advantage: • Experience in packaging microelectronics Interested applicants are required to submit 1) a cover letter 2) curriculum vitae and 3) a list of three references with contact information including mailing address, phone number or e-mail address. jf.morissette@usherbrooke.ca |
PhD Student Position, Civil and Environmental Engineering I am looking for two PhD students in the area of CFD using OpenFoam starting August of 2018 or at most January 2019. The applications are for two-phase flows (air-water interaction in very high-speed flows) and in the area of hydraulic structures (e.g., water turbines, contaminant intrusion, flows in vertical shafts, etc). Experience with experimental work is a plus. We are interested in highly motivated and academically talented graduate students from Applied Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or other engineering areas. Please send your CV to Dr. Arturo Leon at artuleon@gmail.com Website: http://www2.egr.uh.edu/~aleon3/index.html |
Both exams are written all through the year. For the GRE, you can check dates on the official GRE website. Simply register on the ETS website , search for a city and then you can find the test dates available. Alternatively, you can check mafit 's website. They usually list the available test dates. The same thing applies to IELTS. Check the British council's website. The available test dates can be seen there. BiggyB242: |

Loooool He couldn't even respect the Ramadan season and cut off the lies. |
This is good but how come twitter still allows pornographic accounts on its platform ? They should automatically block such accounts also. |
LOL They should not waste their time. Ambode has done enough to win a second term in office. |
Interesting. By the time you finish this inspection and procedure, the seller would have become weary of you. Good tips though. |
Good stuff! #COYG |
We can always agree to disagree. You really don't need insults to buttress your point, folks. |
This is the first time I'm hearing about computational linguistics. It sounds really interesting based on what I saw online. Simply check schools that offer your course and then mail the graduate Cordinator about funding opportunities. Also check the Frequently asked questions section of the admissions website. You will most likely find information about the range of test scores required. Miracleadeyeye: |
