. Yorubas did worst in 1999 and 2000, You remember oso Abiola that you guys use to taunt igbos here? yorubas even killed many Nigerians through the militia group (OPC)

they even floated regional radio to help propagate their hatred for the country then. we igbos are only learning from the yorubas. whatever we have done here, yorubas did it in ten folds
Very untrue. You're conversing with someone who was very politically conscious even at the time, so tread carefully.

The Yoruba never insulted the entire country. They never hated the PDP and labelled it an Nyamiri or Aboki party like igbos did and are still doing to the "Afonja Terrorist Janja_weeed islamization" party in power.

I listened to the Radio Kudirat you are referring to and it was NOTHING like Radio Biafra. It was not a secessionist hate and bigotry driven station, but was a station fighting military dictatorship and agitating for return to democratic rule.

Think hard before you respond because your revisionist propaganda will not work here as I will continue to puncture lies with facts and proof where needed.

Igbos pacified because of what?
They can denounce zoning and request for it at their leisure and other Nigerians would be clapping, you guys ain't even serious yet
They want to be pacified, but don't want to change their hateful, insultive, derogatory, arrogant, acidic habits.

Lmao.

They destroyed zoning because of greed for power through GEJ.

They think everyone has sudden amnesia and have forgotten.

You're the ones insulting others and calling the country a zoo but somehow you're are the ones that need to be pacified?

You can see there must be something seriously wrong with some of you.

Indeed wait for 2023 to reap your fruits of hatred.

. Look at the word"invested" Imagine how you craftily used invested instead of the commonly used hatred as ascribed to igbos. No matter what an Igbo man does, the truth is,he can never appease you Igbophobic citizens of the country. The yorubas were staunchly against the ruling class as at then through their AD propaganda machinery because most of them were in the SDP. you need to be schooled here buddy
You're just a joke. How can you school anyone when you're clearly empty upstairs regarding the 99 elections?

Yorubas never hated the PDP. That is a lie from the pit of hell. What ruling class were they against? Abdulsalam? Was Abacha a PDP member?Or was it IBB as military President that was a PDP member that they were against? Which other ruling class?

Do you even know the AD was formed in 1998? You clearly don't that's why you can claim they used the party for propaganda against the military (the ruling class).

I hope you can see you aren't making sense so go and study that election and stop sounding ignorant.

You have no grounds to expect any consensus candidate.

same thing is applicable to the igbos unless of course you just want to further show your disdain for people you love to hate
Nope.

Get it in your skull that you lack any moral basis or political goodwill to be asking for favours or making demands from the same people you hate, insult and attack endlessly.

The Yorubas had earned political goodwill from 1993-1999 as they had fought for democracy & sacrificed their son and his mandate for the sake of the democracy the whole country enjoys today (While Daniel Kanu was busy supporting Abacha with 1 million people). Also remember that the SW had a pending Presidential mandate from 1992.

What is the source of the goodwill you're expecting from Nigerians? You can't be calling Nigeria a zoo and it's citizens animals and be expecting favours.

You will learn by force.

Indeed, just like they're more invested in the ruling party today, which igbos aren't, and is why the Yorubas can lay claim to the party's ticket.

Go and face your PDP.

most of your ancestors including the bullion van thief were busy romancing the other party (which they called Yoruba party as at then) while igbos were busy forming the PDP with a national appeal

Now tell me,who has been cornered?
Are you totally confused?

So because Yorubas were more invested in AD at the time, that automatically translates to "they hated the PDP with passion"? How now?

Stop embarrassing logic. You will not get the APC ticket, a party founded on North + SW winning alliance. You can only lay claim to PDP's ticket, a party "igbos were busy founding".

Change to become your lapdogs?
Change to stop condemning killings in Southern Kaduna?

Change by converting the whole Igbo race to Islam?
Change by accepting Tinubu as our personal lord and saviour?
Change by stopping to talk about the many atrocities against the Igbo race?

In what perspective did you employ that word "change"?

When you realize that the decision of where the presidency will go, is as much international as it's local, you will then know that it's not about engaging in an academic argument with me.

Britain, America, France, and other world powers with investments in Nigeria, know that the shortest route to through this country in flame is to work against Igbo interest in 2023.
You gotta be kidding grin

So the UN and other world powers will actively violate Nigeria's sovereignty and arm-twist the APC to undemocratically impose an Igbo candidate on the party? What did they do when IPOB's were being made to swim in the mud and when they were being shot like fowls? Where were their voices during python dance? Please stop sounding like a joke.

It's obvious that you're a novice when it comes to Nigeria's voodoo politics.
If you think that calculations about 2023 has not started long before now, then you're not informed.

There is going to be a consensus agreement in 2023 for SE to produce the president. There is very little difference between APC and PDP as parties because the members can jump from one to the other and they rub ideas together, behind the scenes.
Actually there is not going to be a consensus candidate because like I stated earlier, nobody owes Igbos any political favours, especially not after the Zoo chanting IPOB rubbish since 2015.

The APC, a party built on North /SW alliance, is fundamentally different from the PDP and that's one of the reasons igbos hate it so much. The core reason politicians can jump parties is because the constitution guarantees the right of freedom of association. Simple.

proeast:
1. Tinubu is not as powerful as you guys in the SW believe him to be. He only has a cult following in Lagos mainly by hangers on, touts and opportunists but the true elites in Lagos only tolerate him. Also, he was able to lobby for some of his loyalists to be given posts which the powers that be acceded to, as a way to compensate him and also to continue enjoying his support until when it won't be needed anymore. However, even the North knows that he is a desperate opportunist who can't be trusted. Someone who could selfishly pocket Lagos since 1999 would do worse if allowed to rule Nigeria, they know that!
First of all, I'm neither a Tinubu fan or from the SW (I personally think he is as corrupt as they come), and I'd happily choose an Osibanjo over him due to his questionable antics in Lagos state. However I'm realistic enough to know he is the most powerful and influential politician in the south since 2015, and also know that he is the head of the ACN component of the APC which gives him political leverage above and beyond any other southern politician in 2023.

proeast:
2. The main reason why Tinubu has not declared his intentions to run despite his desperation is because he understands the risks and consequences. Unfortunately for him, he has enough baggages and skeletons in his cupboard that would make it easy for the cabals to rubbish him and reduce him to nothing.
I am not in Tinubu's mind and neither are you to know his thoughts. As far as I'm concerned, he might not even have any direct Presidential ambition and considering his antecedents, will most likely prefer to rule by proxy through Osibanjo who is a much easier candidate to sell to Nigerians.

proeast:
3. Even within APC, Tinubu is not as powerful or influential as his supporters believe. On one or two occasions, his nominated candidates for federal appointments were discarded and replaced flagrantly. El Rufai often pokes hand at him. Ngige threw shades at him so condescendingly, same with Amaechi and others. If Tinubu is as powerful as you guys believe he is in APC, then party members won't be using every opportunity to rubbish him.
Wrong.

... he is the most powerful and influential politician in the south since 2015, and also know that he is the head of the ACN component of the APC which gives him political leverage above and beyond any other southern politician in 2023.
proeast:
A Tinubu presidency can't help anyone. It won't stabilize Nigeria. It won't promote good governance. He is too ambitious, selfish, cunning, and untrustworthy. Dangerous traits that the cabals can't risk.

Smell the coffee, Tinubu will never rule Nigeria.
For the last time, I'm not after a Tinubu Presidency. I'm only clearing your doubts about the impossibility of a consensus or Igbo President in 2023.

Perfect question. But be reminded that the forces that organized the senate principal officers election are the same forces that threw him into prison and wanted to destroy his Sun Newspaper through the courts. There are mafians after him.

Now, if he was less of a threat like you wanna make me believe, why do you think those forces are working seriously to put him away? Do you think people waste time and resources on people not a threat to them? Does it not tell you that there are things they know that you and I don't know?

Again, in the run on to 1999 general elections, are you aware that it was like a forgone conclusion that Alex Ekwueme was going to be the candidate of PDP? Obasanjo was not even a PDP member yet. But after the forces in charge of this country met, they released Obasanjo from prison and decided there was need to compensate the Yoruba for Abiola and the whole country understood and it happened.

In 2023, the Igbo is coming to the negotiating table with the need to address Igbo Marginalization and quell call for secession from some quarters; what is the Southwest bargaining chip?
Wait. So you're hinging the chances of APC giving its Presidential ticket to the SE on unseen "forces" and imaginary "mafians" that will miraculously work in favour of the same region that hates and rejects the party like a plague? Lmao grin.

Now tell me this, what political favours do these "forces" owe the SE to be sticking out their neck for them? Are you allergic to reality?

Also tell us where this floating "negotiating table" is located and when the meeting will hold. Lol.

Finally, there is no need for any "bargaining chips", everyone is bringing their horse to the races.

They can't and won't be "given".

They must contest if they want the Presidency, so that they can experience first hand the utter foolishness of insulting and attacking your neighbours endlessly, forgetting that they'd need their support someday. That will guide further Igbo generations on how to act accordingly.

They either contest or go back and sit down at the back of the class.

You should understand that if NBA hadn't withdrawn that invitation, the petition against his invitation would have gained more traction by now, and possibly some Southern and North Central chapters would have started threatening boycott.
There is a clear division on this matter. Some of the Northern chapters see it as an attack against the North while the Southern and Middle Belt chapters see it as the right move.
Last last, Nigeria has never been one and will never be. My people and yours can never think alike.
Can those people argue against the fundamental flaw of the prejudicial decision and how it contradicts the very tenets upon which the association itself is built?

If regardless of the fact, they still threaten to boycott, how does that not translate to rascality?

We can agree to disagree on this matter but facts are sacred.

Blame it on the heavy bigotry laced narratives on this issue from the south.

It is a mockery of the values of the NBA to take such a decision based on mere allegations without fair hearing or conviction. That can be permitted from sentimental individuals but certainly not from such a hitherto distinguished national body. On a more serious note however, rapid industrialization is what Nigeria needs to prosper, and we welcome investors like BUA with open arms. More jobs and value created for sure.

We are all witnesses to how Abdulsamad Rabiu has diligently been building his business empire one factory and one acquisition at a time through sheer hard work and razor sharp business acumen. However, soon enough some pained bigots will try to discredit his entrepreneurial brilliance & excellence that has earned him success, and claim he is a beneficiary of government patronage/monopoly even without a shred of evidence, like they tried to do with another Arewa billionaire trailblazer Aliko Dangote.

What's even more beautiful & inspiring (and frustrating for haters) is that these two intelligent and patriotic Nigerians are minting their Billions of $$$ from our locally mined limestone (cement) and locally grown wheat (flour/pasta), all sourced from the rich soils of Northern Nigeria, and yet are wealthier than any crude oil billionaire anywhere in or out of Africa.

God bless BUA
God bless Arewa
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
