I believe in transparency and just thought that I should give you a bit of background about TeHN and our aims and where we are at.

TeHN is a group of 10 or so nairalanders who came together during the Obuh case to try and help other people in various situations that required financial need.

Do we have prior charity experience or training – No
Are any of us Social workers – No
Have we worked together before – No
Do we take a penny from any of the donations – No
Do we have fundraising experience - No

But we all have a goal, which is to do the best that we can to put smiles on other peoples face and make a positive difference not matter how small to their lives

We are only 2 months old and like many businesses, relationships, new gadgets or anything else that is new that one ventures into in life there will be teething problems, getting to grips with things and so on which we acknowledge and apologise that we haven’t got it all right just now.

Personally I welcome criticism, ideas and so on but Rome was not built in a day and we are trying our best to deliver. Many of the members devote a lot of time and resource to the cause behind the scenes and everything we do has to be agreed first, so also lets bear in mind the different time zones & peoples other commitments, so things are not as fast say if we were all sitting in a board room and making decisions. Having said that, we know that we can do things better and we are striving towards that.

I don’t believe in this “you” and “us” or stealing the show or anything of the sort. We are all one big Nairaland family. The aim is to raise as much money as possible for the people who need it and so if anyone wants to campaign for fundraising elsewhere then please don’t hold back. We don’t have all the answers and so we welcome all forms of help. In this instance, we need all the help and the money that we can raise for Perx.

We need everyone’s support so please don’t hold back. You are not stepping on anyone’s toes. We are committed to the cause and we need your prayers and support so that we get better at what we do. Which is to be a positive influence in people’s lives.
