that simply means the same system made you a thief before you left for the UK? Whats your take on that?

Out of all these noises- none has provided us a logical way to understand why it is okay for a graduate with a job, a car, a house, a family will decide to sell all of that and go to the UK to live with a 6 months visitor visa. If the above is justified, then, Nigeria must be nowhere but hell.
bros I have said this times without number on dis thread that anybody dat does dat is DUMB. but if it bothers you that much go to British embassy in 9ja and state your case to the 150 thousand pple waiting on the line period

@r231 of course if Nigeria get better who would not want to go back. Do you want to live in a place where you have a high percentage of being murdered at anytime with the police scratching their heads for clues and also where the police would probably go to a herbalist to ask for help in searching for evidence and clues to the crime? or a place where you cast your votes and you can be rest assured that your vote will not count? No thank you.  grin
dats ma point exactly, but everybody kept going on like pple want to die in UK like i said earlier as old as i am when i go home i don't stay out past 9pm y would i want to keep living like dat or you car broke dwn at nite u srt getting scared dat somebody will rob you pple selling u other pples land u can't get your money bck even pple dat u gave chance to make money and better their life still cheat you.

At in my own capacity I provide employment for others so dats good enough for now period cool

I can never forget that Richard Branson started hussling CDs at tube stations at the onset on his business empire, Instead of tearing down ourselves because of our subjective decisions, lets work together from wherever we may be  in uplifting our common denominator (Nigeria), defeating our common enemy (failed leaders and politicians hell bent on power)  and start a peaceful movement that will target these people and their interests, as a suggestion for instance if we know a corrupt politician owns a company, we can collectively boycott their products, we need to take our country back. wink cool
I understand you totally but dats what u and I talking about over here do you fink other pple out there think like dat. I am sure if things change 2dy in dat country there will be a lot of pple running bck

I see pple talk about how white pple treat you this and that I am not saying that I want to die in Uk don't get me wrong but how about your own people in 9ja how they treat their own pple. I was standing on a line at d airport and a stupid immigration guy was telling to move let white man pass and i nearly slap both of them cus d so called white man doesn't even speak english plus u r driving the police want to sell u what don't belong to u after u have shown all d docs dey ask for.

We can sit here and argue all day the fact still remains that its a personal choice if you are comfortable where you are then so be it. I have tried the moving thing many times but it didn't work even pple 419 u for the money u have so whats d point. At in my own capacity I provide employment for others so dats good enough for now period

Romance › Really, What Do I Say To This? by r231(op): 7:16pm On Oct 16, 2009
My girlfriend emails me and asks me how my day's going. I email her back and I answer that the day's going well, no complaints. I ask her about her day. Her response is it's 'blah' because she has cramps. She's going to take some asprin and tea.

Really, what do I say to that?

I replied 'Hope that helps'. But that's the best I could come up with outside of 'OK', my usual response to replies that, in my mind, leave me with nothing to really keep things going.

My seasoned vets, how would you have handled that?

Nairaland General › Adding Co-workers On Facebook - Is It Right? by r231(mod): 6:56pm On Oct 16, 2009
Just got a call from a friend that he got fired from work. Here is d story;

He called in sick at work for couple of days to take his Gf France for her birthday and propose to her at the same time. When he got back yesterday afternoon, he upload all the pictures and put it on facebook and by the time he got to work this morning the whole story has circulated around the office even to the attention of his boss and he got fired for lying.

Adding co-workers on facebook - is it right or wrong?

Romance › Re: Why Men Cheat When They Ve Beautiful Wives! by r231(m): 5:33pm On Oct 16, 2009
No one has to see a thing if the lights are off.

A cheater only thinks about their own needs at the moment.

Many are so egotistical, that they can't imagine being found out, let alone their spouse, s/o leaving them.

On the other hand, maybe the beautiful spouse, s/o is a shallow crazy person inside. And the less attractive mistress is beautiful inside.

No excuse for the cheater though, end one if you want to begin another. :/

Well, i'm not sure i got your drift abt the rebounder and the reboundee but if u mean using someone to get back on your feet, then most of us here must hav done that one time or the other.

There are times that things happen in our lives and we need a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. By doing that, we feel better and we find the courage to bounce back.

Like someone said, if u could use someone to bounce back when u were down, i see no reason why u shouldnt give a helping hand to your friend (the lady who asked u out for a date) or maybe u are SELFISH in the real sense.

most times, u are kinda harsh and sarcastic in your replies. maybe u need to work more on your sense of humor. aren't u one of the moderators? u should be more accomodating and friendly i blv.
well I am getting married in less than 5mnths so it won't be a good idea where should i tell ma woman dat i am going

Come on, admit it, some of us have used another person as a rebound when our previous relationship has gone awry. I'll admit I have, not for sex, not to date, but to just talk to someone and get my mind off of the other girl. It worked for me.

Today I was asked out on a date for next weekend by a girl whose fiancée broke off their engagement, 3 days ago.

I said no. Maybe a few months down the road when she's had time to emotionally recover (I hate drama, ), I'll consider it.

The situation is done with, I'm not really looking for advice, I'm just wondering how you guys feel about being on the receiving end of a rebound? Any stories?
