knightfemi: Silent reader here. I am glad to announce we got our Passport Request (PPR) today!!! Hopefully this
The entire process from AOR to PPR took 221days. The wait was very frustrating for us as it took much longer than the average processing time, it got even worse when we read how London VO keep files in their queue for much longer than expected. We are however grateful to the Almighty for seeing us through to the finish line before the end of the year.
Wishing those still waiting the very best in this journey. Cheers Congratulations Knightfemi. Thanks for sharing your timeline and patience. May the maple land favour you. cochtrane: Wish those in the pool ITA today. Hopefully these guys do this today after several weeks of no show. Amen o. We need multiple draws for the CRS score to drop significantly to circa May scores. Congratulations Prime Minister JustinTrudeau on your multiple scale through. May ITA fall on you. Finally taking my own space in this part 3. I will testify of my story and patience in this part 3. Amen |

Thanks so much for the thought and prayer. I can only use the time of waiting to glean all I can from the gurus here so as to cover all necessary steps. These days, I work on Nairaland and CIC website. @blackbuddy, your posts are so great. God bless you real good for the wealth of experience you are depositing here |

Santino1: Just to add another perspective to the discussion. Like I already mentioned in my PPR rant, I only got a one page letter from Credit Suisse a couple of days before my ITA stating all my accounts, date they were opened etc (i.e. following the CIC guideline) and my balance on the day the letter was printed. Thus, in my opinion there is no way to know if I had a lump sum deposited a day before the letter was printed or not.
Note to all. I'm not advising people to start circumventing the process (if CIC catch you and slam 5 years ban on you for lying, Santion1 no dey abeg). Just though I should enrich the discussion. Even though I am inexperienced (I am just in the pool), I think the time of deposit wouldn't matter much in as much as one gets the CIC format from one's bank. This can be gotten with or without statement of account for 6 months and/or LOE depending on one's appetite for risk. Like @cochtrane said, the fact that so many people have gotten PPR even after depositing after their ITA and close to submission lends credence to the fact that this is acceptable. However, if one can afford to have it for the whole duration, that will be the safest. cc @Kontagious bbaby84: Listen up people!!!!
It's my turn!
PPR has landed! Indescribable joy!
All glory to God! Congrats bbaby84. All the best. Waiting for a draw that drops CRS significantly today so that my hopes can be increased. |

I guess it is official when your Mrs dear friend announces it with so much aplomb.
Congratulations @cochtrane, Chief Data analyst who is always willing to help. Predictions with graphs and other data to back it up make it seems like he works with CIC.
And I can only join everybody in congratulating G.S Cochtrane as well. Dive into the pool on time so you can go and join him there swiftly. |

Congratulations to both Kontagious and Veleta.
I wish the low scores yesterday for both PNP and FST would translate into low CRS but I don't think it will yet. More people are constantly entering the pool with good scores and the number of CRS invitations have reduced.
I can only hope that the number of invitations pick up again with two draws done within a week of each other. That will help reduce the CRS. I also suspect that there might be new developments to the process. In all, I am cautiously optimistic (I get choice?) that CRS will drop. Hopefully to the 420s and possibly below sef.
We wait, we hope and we have faith. |

themaestro212: Hi guys. I am writing this as a follow up to a question I asked some weeks back and to tell how that went. Hopefully anyone who's in the same shoes can refer to this post. In my PR application, I marked "no" in one of the statutory questions asking about visa refusals. (I had been refused visa to a country after which I appealed and got the visa). I was not sure if this was a misrepresentation so I asked on this forum and I was advised to send a CSE with an LOE. To be safe, I sent a CSE with an LOE and an updated Schedule A form. CIC acknowledged receipt and did not require any additional documents. I received PPR last week. Below is my timeline.

XX01: Back to more important things.
I received the golden mail this morning. It is PPR people! God has just been so faithful. Wrote to them yesterday evening Nigerian time and they responded that it was in Ottawa and hasn't been finalized yet. Only to wake up to the golden mail this morning. Don't know if they work over night in the Ottawa office.
19days from AOR to PPR. It can only be God. I put the barest minimum I could put (apart from the bank reference letters). Didn't provide a single bank statement. Didn't include payslips and appointment letters. Had plenty travel history for both my husband and I. I had nearly all my funds in my husband's account. God just covered over any mistakes as none were intentional.
ITA = 9th Aug AOR=11th sept. MEDP= 21st sept. IP1 = 22nd sept. NA2 = 27th Sept IP2 = 29th sept. PPR = 30th sept.
Will send my passports once I return to my house next week. Congratulations. This can only be God's grace. Guess who is having a white Christmas |

Please how long did it take IQAS to complete your evaluation after the submission of the required documents(LLB transcript, photocopy of LLB certificate with photocopy of data page of international passport) in the recommended way to them? Thanks. Actually, 31 points if married and 33 points if single. You get an extra 25 for Official Language proficiency and education |

Algbenguze: LONG POST ALERT!
From my observation, CRS cut-offs are usually determined mainly by the draw size and then interval btwn draws and to a lesser extent the number of candidates in the EE pool. The reason the cut off recently didn't really drop as anticipated, even when we had up to 3 draws in August, was because of the relatively smaller draw sizes. The closer draw intervals were offset by the decrease in sizes. Let's see some figures: The last 4 (Aug-Sept) draw sizes were 3264, 2991, 3035 & 2772 (twice below 3k) ITAs with CRS of 441, 433, 434 and 435 respectively. Now compare that with April draw sizes of 3753, 3923 and 3665 with CRS of 431, 423 & 415 respectively. Let's see also May with similar draw sizes of 3796, 3687 & 3877 with CRS of 423, 415 & 413 respectively. Another factor is that the number of EE pool candidates has increased from an average of 50k in Apr-May to abt 58k averagely nowadays- more competition. Now you see why cut-off no gree drop further ba?
My prediction: If CIC's reason for reducing draw sizes is because they are getting closer to their 2017 quota, then CRS may hover around the 430-445 range a little longer. But If that's not the case, then maybe (I hope) they will still increase their draw sizes again this year which will force down the CRS cut-offs below that range. The good news is that even if their 2017 targets are almost already realized, their 2018 immigration targets are quite high. In order to achieve that, they will have to resume the large draw sizes again next year in order to meet up and consequently lower CRS cut-off. So guys, let's keep our fingers crossed and hope they are still far from their 2017 targets make we get our ITAs first before they wind up for the year as guys don taya for this zone. Lol. Sorry about the long post, just thought I should do a little analysis. Cheers. The post isn't even that long. You don't know how many people you have given hope by this analysis. We pray they increase their draw sizes while the draws are closer. We await one of such tomorrow. |

oluphilip2008: Hello house
Could there be another draw today? Baba, THERE WILL BE A DRAW TODAY. I am patiently waiting for it. I also hope it will be less than 430. Since there was a draw last week, my guess is that if there is indeed a draw today, it will be lower than the last CRS NB: The above was only said in faith as there is not much data to prove this but like I told Cochtrane last week, I went through the trend of ITAs issued this year and it supports this a bit. For the months that have had three draws(Jan, April and August) with May being the exception, the second draw is usually one week after the first draw. So faith put into works that there will be a draw today. |

einsteino: huh! why kwanu? Lol. I included a professional certificate that was not assessed and would not be acceptable. This gave me an extra 33 points that if when removed would make me fall below the lowest CRS and could have jeopardized my application. Thought it better to remove the cert, re-enter the pool and wait for an ITA I can be confident to apply for. |

kaybigdad: Hello House, I have a good CRS score but I just started making plans for POF, I've tried to get loans form family and friends but to no avail. I understand that i need available fund when I get there, and I'm already making plans to save before travelling.
I just want to start to process before policies change or the cut off score goes up again.
Please house, any suggestions on how I can get fund to build my account to ASAP.
Thanks for your anticipated help. Bro, we can do very little for you here about your POF. Most people get from friends and family and sort themselves out when they need to use funds over there. If you cannot convince friends and family who have known you for years to help, especially if you are sure they have the money, it will be hard to convince anyone else. My advise though, dive into the pool and hope to get an ITA. I got funds from friends and family -who were not willing originally- easily when I had an ITA (even though I eventually rejected it). Urgency sometimes makes one able to confront better otherwise seemingly uphill tasks. |
