Late Isa Funtua and Mamman Daura were the de facto owners of cbn. They effectively used their willing tool and poster boy, Emefiele, to milk this country dry through Fx round tripping crime. Buhari shouldn't claim ignorance of this.

Politics › Re: APC & Tinubu Mind Game: Opposition Need To Be Alert by Raf4: 9:48pm On Jun 12, 2023
Validated:
In 2007, former Enugu governor, a PDP candidate and Chime was rigged in against the popular APGA candidate.
The case got to the final determination, wherein Chime was declared not to have been elected. The tribunal ordered a fresh election. Then Chime won on a landslide. What changed? Chime simply used his 18months stay as unelected candidate to rubbish whatever achievement Chimaroke thought he made. He began transforming Enugu state and implemented a people oriented program, rebuilding all major roads with alsphat as thick as 10 to 22 inches. He impressed the people, even if they never voted for him.

Tinubu and APC are towing the same line.
Tinubu and APC are not taking chances. They are surreptitiously preparing for a likely presidential election rerun. Unfortunately, both PDP and LP are fixated on winning in court. The opposition will not be declared elected by the Supreme Court, at best the SC can only nullify Feb 25 results and declare no winner and give INEC 90 days to conduct a rerun.

When that happens, mark my word, "when: not :if:, Tinubu and APC would have warmed themselves into heart of Nigerians, particularly Obidients, that the latter would be like, let him be since he is performing. They have now resurrected the antiquated student loan law that has existed since the time of Gowon as a new law. Soon, they will adjust petrol price from N550 to N450. The people will praise them. They will increase minimum wage , etc.
These are all scam. Unfortunately, the populace will buy it.

The only way to defeat Tinubu in the next rerun is either Atiku or Obi steps down for the other. Will Atiku step down? Will Obi step down? Your guess is as good ss mine.
As it stands now, a rerun would hand Tinubu Kano votes, diminishing what Atiku would.
Lagos may be harder for Obi in a rerun now.

So, in my opinion. Atiku cannot win, because the South need to rule. The best bet for opposition is to rally around Peter Obi. They should support Yari, who may be saddled with the job of the head of interim government.

Many do not know why Tinubu is no longer openly against Yari. The latter may become the person who would determine who the next president would be.
Hallucinations!!!!!!!!
You are still struggling with your shattered dreams.
You better embrace reality b4 it will be too late.

Tinubu and APC should as matter of fact push for the legalization of LGBT+ in Nigeria and allow people to chose who and what they want to be as Long as there is no threat to freedom and lives of Nigerians.

The backward act of killing and dehumanizing gay people should be criminalized in Nigeria for our development, freedom and justice

!
No wonder you are supporting atiku.

Abiola won and the igbos (Arthur Nzeribe and co(I am told PO was part of them) did not vote for him and even went to court to stop the election and stop the declaration of the result.

Then 2 million man match to support a military dictatorship by another Igbo una like dirty work kwo (DIK aka OPL 242). Under Abacha saint PO got juicy position as chairman of NPA self.

They have through PO continued this tradition. Enemies of Nigerian progress.

Then the igbos stated that they prefer the military regime and now they also went to invite the military. They clearly have no respect for democracy but for tyranny.

They always claim to be championing the youths when na OPL them they look for same format always no originality just copy copy and our youths keep falling for it.
And that's still haunting them till tomorrow.
Politics › Re: Details Of The Student Loan Bill Signed By President Tinubu by Raf4: 8:52pm On Jun 12, 2023
Hamachi:
Student loans are a financial burden which does not quite make sense on a pure accounting basis. So, you have signed up for a loan (a liability, surrender of your future earnings) and you have nothing to show for it. On the other hand, when you take a loan on a house (a mortgage), you have a liability (a mortgage) and an asset (a house), so when things get tough, you can sell the asset to cover that liability. And in a worst case scenario, you simply file for bankruptcy and walk away from it - with a beaten up credit score, but you recover fully in about 7 years (in US, bankruptcy is removed within 7 years from the person's credit profile). Easy. Simple. Elegant.

Now, we have a student loan. You take a loan and you spend money. You gain nothing tangible - no assets. You have an expectation of future earnings, but it's not a guarantee. However, once you are out of school, loan is due - regardless of whether or not you have means to pay for it, such as a job. Now, when things get very tough - let's say you need to pay rent and you need to eat and you would like to get a family - but the student loan is still there, and it's not going away. You can't discharge it in a simple bankruptcy. You can't make it go away in an easy way - it's a forever burden.

Summary

When we reach the point where politicians are running for office on a platform of, “free college for everyone,” you know that we have gone past the tipping point. “Free” college is just going to throw kerosene on this fire.

We are seeing some cracks around the edges, e.g. coding bootcamps and startup apprenticeships like Praxis, but what is needed is a better educated consumer.

PS

I saw a question on career section this afternoon. “Should I go to school X or school Y? (Money is an object, but I might get some financial aid at school Y.)”

School Y’s cost of attendance is more than twice that of school X. No thought of can I afford either one of these schools? No thought of preparing a financial analysis. We have a generation of irresponsible morons whose parents are mentally absent. That’s why we have a financial aid crisis.

💭Leadership is not about seeking personal glory, instead its about taking responsibility for the people you are in charge of.

🎯Some key takeaways:

✔️Responsible leaders take accountability for their actions. Instead of blaming others, they identify the problem and try to fix it.

✔️Therefore, to become responsible leaders professionals must remember to take accountability for actions and stop blaming others for their mistakes.

✔️One of the foremost qualities in a successful employee or leader is a willingness to accept Responsibility for one's actions and behavior, good or bad.

✔️Taking Responsibility means making decisions, taking action, setting high standards, learning from our mistakes and always doing what we say.

✔️Lastly, leadership is about setting an example. Let see his grandchildren, relatives & family members participate in these students loan
And and your people are always gathering fake documents to go and enjoy same in the UK, US etc. Shameful pessimist.

Look at Newcastle they were almost been relegated until Saudi Arabia bought them.

Now Eddie Howe too is looking like a genius.
From next season onwards they will be contenders for Premier league and Champions league.

A team facing relegation was a top 4 contender within months.

Just shows you that money can make someone look like a world class coach.

Let Guardiola go and coach getafe or Norwich city let’s see if he can win premiership back to back.
Money, especially the Arab oil money, has taken over football. The bigger your money bag, the higher your chances of winning trophies.
From epl to la liga to league 1 to uefa, it's always oil money spoilt brats that win, with exception of only Liverpool fc.

But you do not want headquarters of oil companies doing business in Niger Delta but domiciled in Lagos to be relocated to Niger Delta? Ditto all churches with majority igbos but shepherd by Yoruba pastors to be limited to Yoruba members only. So also spare parts business. Importation should be limited to Yorubas only.

Our leaders are not serious. So myopic and self centered.

If we cannot tolerate one another, we should dissolve the Union and we go our separate ways. No need pretending or hating.

So many inherent contradictions militating the polity.
Those oil companies are privately owned and siting their H/O anywhere they deemed right is a corporate decision of the owners. Lagos didn't dictate to them.
Those Churches are not established because of igbos. Individuals, be it Igbo, Hausa, Zulu, Arab, Yoruba etc joined a Church because of their belief or what they will benefit from joining. There are so many Igbo Pastors who left the East for Lagos/SW to establish Church as well.
Politics › Re: Real Reason Why Mudashiru Obasa Is Targeting Non Indigenes Especially The Igbos by Raf4:
@OP, Igbos have been living in Lagos and other SW states for decades, if not century. They have been deeply accepted into Yoruba communities where they prosper without any single act of molestation against them.
As you rightly said, many of you enjoyed free education from primary to secondary education here. This is not obtainable anywhere in the SE as non indigenes pay double or triple as school fees in your public schools over there.
Second, It's only igbos that always call Lagos a no man's land. No Hausa or Ibibio/Efik or Ogoni man would say this, not even Bini people who are somehow connected with the city.
Third, igbos actually made the just concluded elections personal and as having an axe to grind and a score to settle with Yorubas. They were everywhere making noise about this even b4 the presidential election. When obi won in Lagos State they were everywhere making noise. If you're constituting yourself as an opposition to the interests of the indigenous people of anywhere, you'll definitely bring hostility upon yourself. It's natural.
