PaellaPaella: They troop in there to work and make money, Chinese are in Nigeria, does it mean Nigeria is better than china? illiterates Your people are very lazy, they don't like to suffer or sweating, they like easy money hence so many ritual killings there, I lived in the west for many years with a lot of good friends That's terrible mentality flowing in you people's head. You believe everyone else is lazy. Can you people even survive if you stay back in your enclave? You believe pushing druggs all over the world is hard work. You escaping to the SW is like getting UK/USA visa with work permit. |
Politics › Re: The Ugly Trend And Concequences Of Yoruba Youths Migration by Raf4: 9:15pm On Jul 04, 2023 |
mokwechineme: Its no longer news that southwest is becoming the poverty capital of the nation. If u go beyond the capital and into the villages of Ogun, Ondo, Osun and most especially Kwara and Ekiti, you will shed tears for the inhabitants of these areas. There u see people eating poverty as food. The worst part is there are very low remittances from family members who have managed to travel outside these areas. A typical yoruba youth once he managed to leave these areas finds it difficult connecting back to his root. You have lots and lots of these villagers scavenging for food and there is very little to scavenge because the leadership has very minimal presence outside the state capitals
A young yoruba fron Ogun, Ondo etc will arrive Lagos and automatically becomes a Lagos indigene abandoning his root and people back home.
There should be awareness among Yoruba youths to arresting this very ugly trend because parents after struggling to train their kids will be left abandoned by their children If truly there's poverty in those Yoruba places you mentioned, your people will not be trooping to the SW on daily basis seeking greener pastures and economic survival. |

This is pure animal abuse. In order to satisfy your perverse and reprobate mind, you took the animal out of her comfortable habitation and tied her mouth and tail. You're doing this to the 🐊 without her consent and without her having understanding of what is going on around her. Animals right activists where are thou? |

Igalas raiding them in the north, Ijaws raiding them in south, while Efik/Ibibios were busy capturing them from the east. These people really suffered. No wonder they are confined to that small plots of land of 5 states till today. |
Politics › Re: Why SE Must Build A Seaport Now by Raf4: 9:01pm On Jun 30, 2023 |
mrvitalis: Name one Nigerian port that's on the sea I dare you So you want to build your seaport on top of Ijaw land or on top of Ibibio land? Or how do you access the ocean without getting to Rivers or Akwa-Ibom state first? 🤔 |
Politics › Re: Why SE Must Build A Seaport Now by Raf4: 8:39pm On Jun 30, 2023 |
proeast: Abia, Imo and Anambra States all have the potentials to build deep seaports that can berth large vessels comfortably! Before anyone decides to argue blindly, here are the facts on ground about ports in Nigeria and their positions:
1. Ibaka, Akwa Ibom state; 30 miles to Atlantic. 2. Lagos State; 50 miles to Atlantic. 3. P.H, Rivers State; 50 miles to Atlantic. 4. Onne, Rivers State; 60 miles to Atlantic.
Now compare all these ports to those in SE: 1. Osemoto, Imo State; 18 miles to Atlantic. 2. Oseakwa, Anambra state; 18 miles to Atlantic. 3. Obuaku, Abia State; 25 miles to Atlantic.
The most intriguing part is that the designated ports in Osemoto/Oseakwa axis offer the deepest natural ports as well as the closest to Atlantic, thereby making them potentially the most viable and easiest to maintain in Nigeria!
Can you disprove any of the facts above? Or you just want to hate as usual? Just imagine Sango-Ota, Ikorodu, Mowe/Ibafo claiming they have access to the ocean, according to your line of reasoning 😳 |
Politics › Re: Why SE Must Build A Seaport Now by Raf4: 8:24pm On Jun 30, 2023 |

Have you utilised up to 30% of the riverport you have at onitsha? Now, you are talking of jumping over Rivers State or flying over Akwa-Ibom state to build an imaginary seaport. |

If not, the Onitsha Main Market which is the biggest in the entire West Africa is enough to generate the IGR of Bayelsa and Cross River combined. According to IPOB chestbeating statistics, they always claim onitsha to be the largest market in West Africa, but according to verifiable and reliable sources, Kejetia is the biggest https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kejetia_Market#:~:text=The%20Kejetia%20market%20is%20the,over%2010%2C000%20stores%20and%20stalls. |

In 1979 elections, Bendel state (now Edo and Delta states - SS) voted Awolowo. Cross River (now Cross River and Akwa-Ibom - SS) voted Shagari, while only Rivers State joined SE to vote Azikiwe. Attachee by force. Shame!!! |

The great King Jaja of Opoba, Queen Nana , Saro Wiwa etc were neglected. Awolowo is not bad but there are enough institutions in the SouthWest to name after him since he made this one look like the names should be after a great man from the region.
Are you aware that some monuments are named after Zik, King Jaja etc in the SW, especially Lagos and Ibadan? |

onuman: Because you don't understand that the richest countries in the world have no crude oil and gas deposits. Lagos was built with the proceeds from crude oil and gas deposits in the old Eastern region, you now think that Lagos is best city in the world and therefore time for the Easterners to let you ursurp their landed properties in Lagos. Small sense. Blue blood Yorubas have been telling you foreigner Yorubas that it is the turn of the SE to produce president for Nigeria after Buhari. You foreigner Yorubas led by Tinubu say it's your turn. If your forebears failed to tell you, let me quickly tell you this: as early as 1860s, Lagos already got electricity, telephone, post offices, hospitals, int'l trading stores, tarred roads, schools, functional Sea port etc. No single place in the whole of igboland had any of these earlier than 1930s (after the birth of colonial master's Nigeria). Can you tell how Lagos was developed with SE resources as you claimed? |

Mboi: Oga stop playing. They have deceived you people. You're living in sluts with no money in a place you're claiming you own. The reason why you even see food chop is because Igbos are in Lagos. Then during Christmas when Igbos travel home, automatically Lagos becomes empty. No traffic, no business, no money until they come back in January. Soon it will be like that for life. Even if an Igbo man leaves his duplex for a yoruba man, you can't maintain it, you can't even pay for the rent so why hopless hope? Laziness is a disease. You're still living in fool's paradise. Yorubas are hungry in Lagos and you people left your dilapidated enclaves to come and feed them abi? Dey play. If you people could survive in your SE region you wouldn't have left there for Lagos in the 1st place. You bunch of ungrateful economic refugees. |
