Man dies while masturbating at sperm bank

A trainee doctor has died while producing a sample at a sperm bank.

Zheng Gang, who suffered a heart attack, was found unresponsive in a booth at the building at China’s Wuhan University.

Worried workers had accessed his private booth when they realised he had spent two hours inside.

They discovered the 23-year-old unconscious and despite their attempts to revive him he was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was his fourth visit in just over a week and he had reportedly been using sexy magazines to help him.

The incident was revealed after Mr Gang’s family took the sperm bank to court claiming they were responsible for his death in January 2011.

The court dismissed the action saying Zheng was mature enough to make his own decisions.

The family had been awarded £27,000 by a lower court but were seeking £1 million in compensation.

Miracle cat survives 20 gunshots in Norway

A cat survived multiple gunshot wounds to its body and face after being shot 20 times with an air gun in Haldensjordet, Hønefoss on Sunday.


The injured animal was taken to a local vet after coming home to its owner. The family pet had been missing for eight days.

The cat was treated and miraculously survived the attack. Its injuries included one air gun pellet in its spine, ten pellets in its back-left leg, five in the left side of its stomach, one in the front-left paw and three pellets in its face. Some of the pellets were successfully removed by the vet, but many of the pellets still remain.
Police chief, Espen Sola, told NRK: “It is simply a tragedy.”

Police are now looking for who was behind the attack or clues leading to an arrest.

On Saturday another cat died after it was impaled by thugs on a tree branch in Vangen, Haugesund.
Police chief Trond Friberg told Haugesunds Avis: “It was simply ill-treated.”

Five cats were killed in Vangen last year. The animal rights organization NOAH will file a case for the murder of the impaled cat, and has also released a 5,000 kroner ($810) reward for leads in connection to the case.

NOAH vet, Siri Martinsen, said: “Remembering the dark past of this area, where several cats have been mistreated and murdered without the attacker being caught, we think it is important to encourage people to come to the police with clues.”

Martinsen claimed there is a significant link between violence against animals and violence against people - particularly worrying when it concerns rough, sadistic violence such as a cat being impaled.

A 37-year-old mother of three, Ezeh Ifeoma Maureen, has been arrested with substances suspected to be cannabis by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
She was caught at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja, Lagos, during outward screening of China-bound Ethiopian Airlines’ passengers for allegedly attempting to smuggle 6.200 kilogrammes of dried weeds that tested positive for cannabis.
The agency’s Airport Commander, Mr. Hamza Umar, said the suspect told the officers that her bags contained vegetables and foodstuff.
“She declared the content of her bags as vegetables and foodstuff, but during a search, the vegetables turned out to be cannabis weighing 6.200 kilogrammes. The drug was packed in two parcels.”
The suspect, who hails from Anambra State, said: “I am a business woman; I sell women’s clothes at the Onitsha main market. I usually export foodstuff to China and import female dresses to Nigeria. One of my customers in China called to tell me that his brother would give me two parcels of vegetables to bring to him. I collected the parcels at the airport from the boy. Unfortunately, when they tested them, I was told that they contained cannabis.”
Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade, advised the public to learn from the cases of those arrested for drug trafficking. “This mother of three children would have been killed in China for drug trafficking if she was not apprehended here. It is important for the public to learn from her experience and shun drug trafficking,” he said.
Giade warned passengers not to collect items from people, who will not be there during a search.
The suspect, Giade said, would be charged to court for unlawful possession of, and attempt to export cannabis.

20 reasons why you should not move to DUBAI.


"Living in Dubai is not wonderful and glamorous, as many would have you believe. Forget about what you’ve read, seen, and heard; those shiny buildings and man made islands are all just smoke and mirrors. There are so many things wrong with this place that I have decided to compile a list, a must read if you are considering a potential move to Dubai.

1. There is no standard address system making mail-to-the door delivery impossible. In fact, it makes anything nearly impossible. The taxi driver, here for only two days, and having learned English from old Beatles albums has no clue where your house is. He won’t tell you that of course, he’ll just keep calling and saying, “Okay, okay. Yeah, yeah.” When you purchase something that requires delivery they do not have an address line, but a box where you are expected to draw a map. Not able to draw a map? Explain like this: I live on the street after the airport road, but before the roundabout. Go past the mosque and make a U-turn.

2. The government blocks all web sites that it deems “offensive” to the “religious, moral, and cultural values” of the UAE. That’s hard to swallow for a freedom loving American, but I get it. I do not understand, however, why all VOIP access and related web sites are blocked. I guess the government also takes offense to people inexpensively contacting their families back home. You’re welcome to call using the analog service provided by the government-owned telephone monopoly, but it will cost you a whole lot more. So much so, in fact, your frequency of calls will be greatly diminished if you can afford them at all. The government says VOIP is blocked for security reasons, yet even the residents of communist China and North Korea have access to these inexpensive calls.

3. It is really hot outside. Not Florida in July hot; Hot as if you were locked in a car in Florida in July with sufficient humidity to make it feel as though you are drowning. Hot as in 120 degrees with nearly 100% humidity. Do not look to the wind for relief. This is the equivalent of pointing a hairdryer on full blast directly at your face. Pour fine moon dust-like sand over your head as you do this and you get the picture.

4. There are too few trees, plants, and grass – or living things aside from us crazy humans, for that matter. Ever see a bird pant? I have. In my opinion, human beings were not meant to live in such a place. If we were, there would be sufficient water and shade. The only greenery around are the roadside gardens planted by the government, who waters the hell out of them in the middle of the day. Thanks a lot! Didn’t you say we should cut down on our water consumption because you are unable to keep up with the demand? I have an idea: let’s all move someplace where it’s not 120 degrees outside.

5. This country prides itself so much on its glitz and glamour that it put a picture of its 7-star hotel on the license plate. Yet, the public toilets in the king-of-bling Gold Souk district are holes in the ground with no toilet paper or soap. Hoses to rinse your nether regions, however, are provided. This results in a mass of water on the floor that you must stand in to pee. Try squatting without touching anything and keeping your pants from touching anything either. Oh yeah. It’s 120 degrees in there too.

6. This country encourages businesses to hire people from other poor countries to come here and work. They have them sign contracts that are a decade long and then take their passports. Even though taking passports is supposedly illegal, the government knows it happens and does nothing to enforce the law. These poor people are promised a certain pay, but the companies neglect to tell them they will be deducting their cost of living from their paychecks, leaving them virtually penniless – that is, if they choose to pay them. Companies hold back paychecks for months at a time. When the workers strike as a result, they are jailed. Protesting is illegal, you see (apparently this law IS enforced). These people will never make enough to buy a ticket home and even if they do, they do not have their passports. They live crammed in portables with tons of others, in highly unsanitary conditions. The kicker: they are building hotels that cost more to stay in for one night than they will make in an entire year. Things are so bad that a number of laborers are willing to throw themselves in front of cars because their death would bring their family affluence in the form of diya, blood money paid to the victim’s family as mandated by the government.

7. Things are not cheaper here. I’m sick of people saying that. I read the letters to the editor page of the paper and people say to those who complain about the cost of living rising here, “Well, it’s cheaper than your home country or you wouldn’t be here.” The only thing cheaper here is labor. Yes, you can have a maid – but a bag of washed lettuce will cost you almost $10.

8. There are traffic cameras everywhere. I consider this cheating. Where are the damn cops? I drove around this city for weeks before I ever even saw a cop. Trust me, they need traffic cops here. People drive like idiots. It’s perfectly okay to turn left from the far right lane, but speeding even just a couple of kilometers over will get you fined. These cameras are placed strategically as you come down hills, or just as the speed limit changes. Before you know it…BAM! Fined. Forget to pay the bill and your car will be impounded.

9. The clothing some of these women wear makes no sense to me. I understand that as part of your religion you are required to dress in a particular way, but a black robe over your jeans and turtleneck and cover your head when it is 120 degrees outside? In the gym some women wear five layers of clothing…sweatpants and t-shits over sweaters with headscarves. Yet the men’s clothing makes absolute sense: white, airy, and nothing underneath but their skivvies.

10. People stare at you. I am sick of being stared at. I’m stared at by men who have never seen a fair-skinned blue-eyed woman before, or who have and think we are all prostitutes so it’s okay to stare. They stare at me when I am fully covered or with my husband, and even follow me around. It’s beyond creepy and has brought me to tears on more than one occasion. The staring is not limited to men, either. I’m stared at angrily by female prostitutes who think I am running in on their territory by having a few drinks with my husband at the bar.

11. Prostitutes? Oh hell yes, there are prostitutes. Tons of them. So, let me get this straight, I can’t look at a Unclad picture of a person on the Internet in the privacy of my home, but it is okay to go out in public and buy a few for the night?

12. Alcohol can only be sold in hotels and a handful of private clubs. A person must own a liquor license to consume in the privacy of their own home. To obtain a liquor license you must get signed approval from your boss, prove a certain level of salary that determines how much you are allowed to buy, and then submit several mug shots (aka passport photos) for approval. Pay the fee and the additional 30% tax on every purchase and you may drink at home. Then again, you can just pick up a few bottles in the airport duty free on your way in to the country, but two is the max. Why not just drive out to Ajman where it’s a free-for-all and load up the SUV? It’s easy enough, but crossing the Emirates with alcohol is illegal – particularly in the dry emirate of Sharjah, which just happens to lie between Dubai and Ajman. Go figure.

13. Not only do you have to get your boss’s approval to obtain a liquor license, but you must also get the company’s approval to rent property, have a telephone, or get satellite TV.

14. Back to the craziness on the roads: If I see one more kid standing up and waving to me out the back window while flying down the road at 160 kph…whatever happened to seatbelts?

15. When is the weekend again? Let me get this straight: the weekend used to be Thursday and Friday, but no one took off all of Thursday, just a half day really. Now the government says Friday and Saturday are the weekend, but some people only take off Friday, others still take a half day on Thursday, but some might just take a half day on Saturday instead. Anyway you slice it, Sundays are workdays and little business can be accomplished Thursday through Saturday.

16. There are few satellite television operators:. The movie channels play movies that are old and outdated. Many of them went straight to video back in the States. Every sitcom that failed in the US has been purchased and is played here. Old episodes of Knight Rider are advertised like it is the coolest thing since sliced bread. The TV commercials are repeated so often that I am determined NOT to buy anything I see advertised on television here just for the principle of it. When I say repeated often, I mean every commercial break – sometimes more than once.

17. The roads are horribly designed. Driving ten minutes out of the way to make a U-turn is not uncommon. People are not able to give directions most of the time (remember reason #1), and the maps are little help because most have few road names on them, if any. Where is interchange four? You just have to hope you got on the freeway in the right place and start counting because they are not numbered. Miss it and you’ll likely end up on the other side of town before you are able to turn around and go back.

18. Taxi drivers are dangerous and smell. Taxi drivers work very hard here to earn a living because travel by taxi is still relatively inexpensive, even though the cost of living is not (see reason #7). Because of this you may have a driver who has had little sleep or the opportunity to shower for several days. Many of these drivers have just as much difficulty finding their way around as you do, but add to this a third-world country driving style and extreme exhaustion and, well, remember to buckle up for safety.

19. Speeding is an Emirati sport and Emirates Road is just an extension of the Dubai Autodrome. I know I keep mentioning the roads, but really, much of this city’s issues are encompassed by the erratic and irrational behavior displayed on its streets. Visions of flashing lights on even flashier, limo-tinted SUVs haunt me as I merge on to the highway. Local nationals are somehow able to get the sun-protecting dark window tint denied to us lowly expats and use it to hide their faces as they tailgate you incessantly at unbelievably high speeds, their lights flickering on and off and horn blaring repeatedly. It doesn’t matter that you can’t get over, or if doing so would be particularly dangerous, they will run you off the road to get in front of you. Don’t even think about giving someone the finger; the offense could land you in jail. Tailgating is, unbelievably, legal.

20. Dubai is far from environmentally friendly. Ever wonder how much damage those man made islands are doing to the delicate ocean ecosystem? Coral reefs, sea grasses, and oyster beds that were once part of protected marine lands lie choked under a barrage of dredged up sea sand. Consider the waste that occurs from erecting buildings on top of these sand monsters and from the people that occupy them coupled with the lack of an effective recycling program and you have an environmental disaster on your hands. Add to this more gas guzzling SUVs than fuel-efficient cars on the road and the need for 24-hour powerful air-conditioning and its evident that the environment is not high on the priority list of the UAE.
So while I’m sure there are benefits to living in Dubai, tax breaks, multi-cultural environments, and beautiful buildings aside, reconsider your plans to move here if any of the above mentioned reasons strikes a chord within you. Dubai is a city caught in an identity crisis. Struggling somewhere between its desire to be a playground for the rich and its adherence to traditional Islamic roots, rests a city that lacks sufficient infrastructure to support its delusions of grandeur. Visit if you must, but leave quickly before you are sucked into its calamitous void".

Why I embraced robbery, by suspect

A 26-year-old man, Chekube Aja, is claiming that he took to armed robbery to avenge his loss to fraudsters.
Aja told the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARs), Lagos Police Command in Ikeja that he lost N1.2 million to some fraudulent travel agents in South Africa, where he lived for two years.
He said when he was trying to get his papers, someone offered to help him get a wife to facilitate his residence permit.
“I paid the person N300,000, but at the end of the day, he ran away with my money; that was how I returned to Nigeria,” he said.
Later, he moved to Brazil, where he lost N900,000 to fraudsters who promised to link him to drug barons so that he could become a carrier. The effort, he said, failed and he returned to Nigeria with nothing.
The suspect said when his cloth business at Wuse Market in Abuja was not moving, he began to snatch cars which he sold to a buyer, who he simply identified as Chinedu, now at large.
“I was snatching and selling small cars to him, but one day, I took a Golf car to him. He declined to pay, saying that he wanted me to upgrade and be snatching big cars. The Golf was worth N300,000, but he gave me a Baretta pistol instead. He said I should use it to dream big,” Aja said.
After supplying Chinedu with six cars valued at N2million, he said he relocated to his Udi, Enugu State home town, to set up a liquor joint.
He said early this year, his cousin, Sunday Okike (28), persuaded him to come to Lagos and make money with his pistol. But he declined, saying he could be caught.
Aja said: “A week after Okike left the village, I came to Lagos and joined him in our first operation. A man was driving into his compound in Egbeda and we trailed him. We robbed him of N500,000 and shared it. I was involved in other operations; it was after the fifth operation that I was caught. We snatched an End of Discussion Honda car and as I was taking it out of Lagos to Abuja to deliver to Chinedu, I was arrested on the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
Okike, who deals in carpets at 12, Orptal Street on LASU Road, Igando, a Lagos suburb, said he went into robbery to improve on his business.
Okike lamented that after serving his boss for five years, he was settled with only N300,000. He said after he rented a shop, he had only N100,000 to invest in the business.
The suspect, who is the only son of his aged mother, admitted that he was the person that brought the pistol to Lagos and took Aja to areas the rich and middle-class live.
Detectives trailed the suspects following the victim’s distress call which was received by Commissioner of Police Umar Manko.
Following Manko’s directive, the officer in charge of SARS, Abba Kyari, a Superintendent of Police (SP), arrested Aja with a Honda car marked KJA 321 AV.
The suspect took the detectives to where they arrested Okike.
“A Baretta pistol marked C97421Z, with 11 rounds of live ammunition and about six phone sets were recovered in a bag which he hid in the ceiling of his room,” the police said.

British police have begun trialling on-the-spot DNA testing, which could help trace serious criminals within hours, rather than days.

The Home Office has given extra funding to police in Lancashire and Nottinghamshire to begin operating the machines.

The machines are about the size of a small photocopier and can be transported to a crime scene and used in the early stages of an investigation.

The machine's developers, Key Forensic Services, claim the Rapid DNA technology will allow investigators to input samples from a crime scene into the machine themselves.

Any match to samples on the national DNA database will be found in less than two hours.

Currently, police have to send DNA samples off to forensic laboratories and any match can take several days.

Key Forensic Services' Chief Executive Paul Hackett told Sky News: "It essentially duplicates what we currently do in three or four laboratories using a large number of people and a lot of instrumentation.

Don’t set Nigeria on fire, Jakande warns

The first civilian governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, has warned those in position of authority to be wary of actions that could lead to chaos in the country.
Alhaji Jakande bemoaned the “militarisation of democracy” tactics employed by the Federal Government in Ekiti State and now Osun, describing it as unfortunate.
The veteran journalists said never in the history of the nation has election been so tense as the case of the Osun governorship election.
He said: “The electorate should be allowed to freely choose their leader without molestation, inducement or harassment.
“The idea of deploying large numbers of security operatives is wrong and should not be encouraged. It discourages the electorate from discharging their duty and gives room for impunity.”
Jakande asserted that those who are heating up the polity do not love Nigeria.
Nigerians, he warned, should beware of desperate politicians who want to win elections at all cost.
He enjoined the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to maintain its neutrality at all times, saying that allegations of connivance with any particular political party is not good for the integrity of the commission.
Meanwhile, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has described as appalling the appearance of soldiers in hoods in Osun State at a time the state is soaked in election tension.

MURIC Director, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, described as worrisome the brutalisation of Ayodeji Moradeyo and Binafia Miebi, reporter and cameraman with Television Continental (TVC) respectively, by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyalists at the secretariat of the PDP in Osogbo while they were on fact-finding mission.
Akintola said: “Whereas politicians in developed countries regard members of the press as partners and an integral part of electioneering, Nigerian politicians are turning journalists into punching bags.
“MURIC strongly denounces these two developments. They constitute potent threats to a free and fair election. Hooded soldiers are serious sources of worry. They create fear and engender suspicion about the intention of the Federal Government.
“Attacks on pressmen during an election symptomise a lack of readiness to embrace transparency. With these developments, fears are being raised that the ground for a severely doctored gubernatorial election skewed in favour of the controllers of the security agencies is already well laid.”
Akintola called on the Chief of Army Staff to explain to Nigerians if the hood is part of a soldier’s kit.

I killed my lover because she made me jealous – Suspect

LAGOS — The 31-year-old man, who allegedly strangled his 39-year-old international business woman lover to death in her apartment at Green Estate, Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos, last month, told a crowd yesterday that he did it out of jealousy.

The suspect, Kelechi Williams, who was paraded at the Lagos State Police Command, was arrested at the border between Ghana and Cote D’Ivore by operatives from the Area ‘E’ Command, Festac Town and those of International Police, INTERPOL, while fleeing with the deceased’s Range Rover Sports Utility Vehicle, SUV, with number plate LAGOS EKY 509 AZ.

The incident, according to him, occurred on July 19, 2014, at about 2 am during an altercation over the late arrival of his lover, a mother of four identified as Njideka Lizzy Nzewe.

How she was killed

Narrating how he snuffed life out of the deceased, the suspect, who hails from Umuji in Ndemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, said: “Lizzy was my girlfriend. I knew her three years ago. But we started getting serious in February this year.

“I came back from Ghana to visit her on July 16, 2014 which was on a Wednesday. The next day we went out and came back late.

“On Friday, she told me to stay back at home and rest because I was tired. She left the house, saying she was going to the new apartment she was to pack into, assuring me she would be back as usual by 6 p.m.

“But she did not return by 6pm. Rather, the gate man came with a power generating set, saying madam had gone to drop the workers.

“When it was 8 p.m. and I did not see her, I started calling her on phone but she did not pick. I called her up to 30 times without response.

“She came back by midnight and when I asked why she did not pick my calls, she said the phone was in silent mode. I brought out my phone and called her line only for it to ring.

“At that point I noticed she was drunk. I got angry and asked if that was the way she would pay me back for leaving everything in Ghana to come and spend time with her. I threatened to quit the relationship. But at that point, her phone rang and I told her to pick it but she insisted that I should pick it and when I did, the caller, who was a male, asked ‘baby are you home?’

“Immediately she discovered it was a male’s voice, she snatched the phone from me and asked why I should pick her calls. I reminded her of a similar incident when she came to visit me in Ghana and my phone rang. She pick it and on discovering it was a female, she smashed the phone on the ground, without knowing who the caller was.

“I reminded her also that she collected my other phones from me and brought them to Nigeria. In anger, I took the phone and smashed it on the ground.

“Before I knew it, she threw my things outside, saying I should leave her house. I told her to give me the N300,000 she borrowed from me to buy an air conditioner, if she wanted me to leave but she said she had no money with her and gave me her ATM card which she said had just N140,000.

“At a point, she slapped me and we started fighting. She held on to my manhood and started stretching it. That was when I held the wrapper that was around her neck and used it to strangle her, thereby forcing her to let go my manhood. She fell down and became motionless.

“Immediately, I took her three phones, ATM card and went outside to meet the gate man to see me off to any ATM machine, where I withdrew N100,000.

“I dropped the gateman at home, and told him I was going to pump the tyre. At that point, I knew I was in trouble. I did not go back to her house for fear of being arrested.

“I drove straight to Mile Two, from where I picked a driver who drove me down to Ghana. I spent some days in Ghana before I decided to leave for Cote d’Ivoire,where unfortunately I was arrested.

“I never wanted to kill her. I have never fought in my life, let alone kill somebody. I did not also steal her jewellery and N8 million as claimed by the Police. The only money I withdrew was N100,000 and her phone.”

Suspect gives thanksgiving in church

Briefing newsmen earlier, the command’s boss, Umar Manko, said after the suspect killed the woman, he locked the door from outside, apparently to make it look as if they had gone out. He further disclosed that a new International Passport which bore the suspect’s name and the surname of his deceased’s lover, was found on him, suggesting that the motive was pre-empted.

Back in Ghana, preliminary investigation, according to the Police, revealed that the suspect took the SUV to church, declaring it was his. Police sources said he made an unspecified donation to the church and also threw a party to celebrate the new car.

On his part, the gate man, John Tungwim, said he suspected something was amiss when the suspect dashed out from the apartment that night.

According to him, “he told me he was going to the club with madam but that she asked him to go and withdraw money with her ATM card first.

“I went with him because I know madam’s pin code. But we came back, he told me to go inside that madam said she was tired and could not go. So, he drove out alone.

“I never suspected anything until the next day when I did not see madam. I called one of the children’s attention to it. Out of curiosity, I climbed a ladder only to discover that madam was on the floor foaming in her mouth. I contacted her brother who called in the police.”

A teenage girl in India defended herself against her rapist uncle by cutting off his penis with a knife. And local police are praising her for her courage.

Police in the Madhepura district of Bihar said the young woman, believed to be aged either 17 or 18, had already been raped last month by her uncle, who is known in the local area as a tantric and who performs rituals.

According to the Bihar Police crime statistics, 478 reported rapes occurred in the first five months of this year, with 130 rapes in May alone.

Initial reports from the Times of India stated the uncle of the girl was a tantric healer and that she was taken to see him when she became ill.

Claiming the girl was possessed by an evil spirit, he the proceeded to gag and rape her. But police later told the Independent that there was no attempt to “cure her” — it was just rape.

When he allegedly tried to assault her a second time, the young woman was prepared and had armed herself with a knife and a recording device.

She recorded a conversation between them, sliced off his penis and managed to escape.

The girl then reported what had happened to a village council. But when the council failed to tackle the matter to her satisfaction, the young woman contacted local women police officers.

Senior officer AK Singh, superintendent at the Alam Nagar police station, located around 200 miles east of the state capital, Patna, told The Independent that the alleged attacker had fled after the incident and that officers were looking for him. Minus a penis.

Asked whether any charges had been filed against the young woman, he replied: “Why should we file a case against her? We should applaud her bravery and courage.”

The latest case of assault in India comes amid a wave of publicity about sexual violence in India.
