....you need to apologize, please No paint me black. Are u sure ur following conversations? No one has insulted the retired mom. I'm not sure u follow well. I won't explain myself. I owe no one no apology. The public knows that. By the way, if ur too proper and gentlemanly the way you presumably want the public to know that you are, u can tell your buddy afonja to apologize to over 80 percent of people in this forum. It's coz of people like that I became vocal on this group. It's a shame. Shame. You seem to condone one. It's from ur mouth I learned he's a US citizen.. That we should accord him preferential respect. It's a shame. |

fkj950ax: Some mothers do have them.
The thing about diversity is seeing things from someone else's perspective totally different from yours, and agreeing to it's validity, and not gloat or be snobbish.
Don't get it twisted, it wasn't your perspective we saw sense in. It's was Iyaaliya Hear them, "the thing about diversity".... The intellectuals. Na una know. We know nothing about diversity of ideas mscheeew. Thing is The world should know how u asked that lad to bring the woman back to the embassy and pad her employment to retirement and side hustle when she had been there and denied over same claim. U compared her to ursef as a consultant. U very intelligent. I said, explore other areas. Haba, she's an educated woman. Artisans get visas. Don't turn ur self acclaimed intelligence into rubbish. Be cool. I have been saying, Leave it AS IS. Let's see na hahahah. The world is watching una follies. I used t be mute here. One time I commented, they became afraid. Follies. |

I said they should explore another areas such as sponsor, etc.. I said leave it as is, as has een the norm in the forum na! but look at other means that can boost her chances. No wahala Sha. |

fkj950ax: As-Is from the comments he made. She's retired and earns income from Pension. She has a business selling clothes to workers and earns income. What makes you extremely certain her clothes business doesn't outpace her pension? And you BOLDLY TYPE "NO ACTIVE SOURCE OF INCOME" LIKE YOU ARE THE FAMILY'S FINANCIAL ANALYST. Padding up stuff. I'm reminding you all to encourage them to fill ds AS IS . If he used retired originally, then it is retired. We all know they earn pensions. Pensions. So what side business such as selling clothes matter after ur retired from an active job? U think VOs are fools? He should look at other viable areas in the second application. Even artisans dey get visa wen ur straight up. Whats the big deal |

Bkoks: Yes, she has me. But there is only one selection for occupation. That’s why I want to know if I should fill I’m retired or business? Fill it AS IS. Her side business isn't formal. She's retired. The Nigerian system of retired. Do it AS IS . You manipulate the old woman's means of livelihood, they gonna dwell on there and hunger for clarification. You going to be there with her at the interview? My two cents |

fkj950ax: Business will be my suggestion, then add the income from monthly FG/Pension to an estimated monthly income from Business to show her cash liquidity monthly even as a senior citizen. LOL. Why don't you let the lad do the DS 160 AS IS. She's actually retired. No active source of income. Oya, fill it out like that again ooo. They will give them a visa. |

Do note you are free and in your rights to send anyone PM, find Agent and use, or whatever you DECIDE to do.
But this Thread TRIES to uphold a culture of getting a B1/B2 LEGITIMATELY and use the same for the intended purpose according to the rules of the B1/B2 Visa.
So don't see the comments as directed at you. I am personally interested in contributing to your NIV process as many others here. If you feel you can work with the people here, then the floor is open. If you don't want to. The floor is open.
I got my B1/B2 here. I aced my interview from comments here. JFK PoE was simple and a breeze from info here (other thread). My three weeks stay in NY and DC was superb from comments too. I picked airline to use based on comments. My Dubai transit was simple based on comments from here. Gbam! Correct! |

Spanishmilf: SMH I just pity pple who send you mail. Na u sabi how to cut corners ba It's not a cut-cornering thing. That's an intelligent message. You can tell people how to work on a form that determines their eligibility. Why? You have substantial knowledge and experience with regards to that effort. That's what I obviously see in the person's epistle. That's his job. That's his area of expertise and there's nothing wrong with that. Let people come and file testimonies. Simple as ABCD. Shikena |

aboyaji: Hi guys. Been a silent reader for a very long time now.
I went for my interview yesterday and got DENIED.
Location : Lagos. V. I. Scheduled Time : 6:45 am
I arrived as early as possible. Got my documents ready and was advised to take a 2x2 passport photo which was quite different from the one I came with. I was charged 2k for 6 copies though.
The time for checking in and screening came, we filed into the reception, got our international passports checked and tagged at the back with a white paper that bore our respective names and codes. We sat patiently on each seats and waited for the next move.
I got in contact with some little lovelies (kids). They're twins though. Aged 3. They came with their mom. 2 minutes later, the kids were all over me, asking my name. I told them with a smile and BOOM they started singing it. They'd prefix it with "bro" before my name. I laughed hard and every other persons kept laughing at their hilarious display. They left their mum and clung unto me throughout our stay there.
We headed into the main building for the next phase of screening. The kids didn't let go of me. I was then a father figure to them. They forgot their mom who trailed behind with a wide grin and laughter. She had no option.
Here in the big interview hall, those kids kept screaming my name "bro xxxxx". Ah! It was very loud that people kept laughing all through.
Are you their father? They asked. No, I'm not, sir, ma.
My passport and photo were collected and scanned. I waited patiently to collect it and queue on the line for biometrics. Their mom held them tightly this time for my privacy. Immediately, I withdrew from the window 6, brandishing my passport and other items, those lovelies jump on my body, screaming at the top of their voices " bro xxxx, bro xxxx, he is back".
I laughed heavily.
Time for the biometrics came, I went. Met a white lady who was very friendly on the window 1.
"Your left fingers please". She said. I placed them.
"Are you alone?". Yes.
"Are those your kids"?. I then looked back and saw those angels. They held on my thigh and was screaming my name again, saying I had left them. Then I told the white lady that they're not my kids, they came with the other lady. She laughed and asked why they were following and singing my name. I said that's how today turned out. She laughed and said "you're gonna have a hell of kids in your home". We laughed together and I went to queue in for the main interview. The babies had their biometrics done and rushed to me again.
"Uncle, are you traveling to the USA with us", they asked me. I said yes. Their mum said of course, yes. He's coming with us. They jumped up with laughter. To cut the story short, they disturbed me with series of questions that made everyone laugh out loud.
The lady on window 6 that checked out passports came out and asked " who's this uncle xxxx". The babies mum pointed at me. She approached me as said "you're a lucky man. I heard you just met them outside". I said YES. Then, she walked away.
It was my turn for the interview, I motioned the babies to join their mum. I walked to window 6 where I met a white guy.
Vo:Good morning, sir. He said Good morning, sir.
Where are you going to?
Houston, Texas.
Why?
Vacation
What do you do?
I'm a Sales executive in ****. I explained further. And further.
Do you have a relative?
Yes. Her name is *** *** ***.
OK, have you traveled before?
No, sir. But ***
YOU DO NOT QUALIFY FOR ************ (Here, I off). A yellow paper was tendered to me alongside my passport.
Excuse me sir, why am I not eligible, please.
He looked at me and said "You do not have a travel history.
I collected the paper and left.
And to the op that said, you shouldn't chat away, or be stringent and all. No be by muscle bro. It's by his grace and your "content".
That lady whose babies disturbed me had a valid Visa, her husband is in the US, her son is in the US too. She just came down to pick these ones to join the rest of the family. The little kids were denied too alongside a whole lot of people who has valid reasons of visiting the US.
A guy was denied too. He had been to UAE, France, Dubai, China, etc. What do you have to say about this?
There was this man that was issued a visa yesterday. He travels every month. He had been to Netherlands, USA, France China, UK, Germany, a whole lot of countries. From his statement, he was in Spain in December, UK in January, France in November. (Bros, I fear). Country no d finish for where the man dey. He was issued. He stays just weeks in each country. You are a fine writer! It's a good narrative. We appreciate it. Sorry about the outcome. |

SmartKitty: If it was a male, they would approve a man over 50-60 years old because it's not easy to start the new life in US for a man at this age. Even an American woman wouldn't marry the foreign man this age, he can't find a decent job in America unless he is a high class scientist or businessman. What are you talking about? SHE DESERVED IT. SHE'S A SCHOLAR, WENT AROUND EUROPE, EARNS GOOD MONEY AND IS DAMN DISCIPLINED. AMERICANS WANT GENUINE VISITORS IN THEIR COUNTRY. FOLKS WHO HAVE REAL, CONSEQUENTIAL BUSINESS TO DO IN THERE. SHE'S A CAREER WOMAN. NO TIME FOR MARRIAGE YET LOL |

This indicates that the call has already been made and visa already issued. Were you taught English language in school? It's you who's making urself appear like a poor student of the English language. Shikena |

micluv111: What do you mean by critical stage?
With the situation at that embassy right now, I believe Nigerians passport is blacklisted, reason why I said that is the man before me came for renewer and his last visit to US was last year and spend just 10 days, he was denied with no reason, everybody was surprised. You will clearly hear the conversations between applicants and the VO. The few approval is just oju aye lol
Out of over 50 applicants before me were rejected, do you think none of them have good reasons to visit ? What of students ? I agree with you. It is very bad. Very bad. By the way, can you tell me what you mean by The few approvals is just "oju aye." Like they gave them because of people's opinions. Please, educate me on that cool phrase. I love it lol |
