micluv111: Yes vacation Scheduled for April and that's not winter season. WELL, I think they are, at this critical stage, looking for legitimate, very significant reasons/purposes for people to visit the USA. Did you mention Easter Celebration or something significant or just vacation in NY in April? Me thinks the embassy just want "high-value" visitors to the USA. Coz I believe on every account, ur qualified for that visa! Maybe not just over the purpose of your visit at the coming moment in time. Do u understand what I'm driving at? |

micluv111: I had my interview moments ago.
Vo: Good morning Myself: morning Vo: Where are you going in the US Myself: New york Vo: How long? Myself: 10 days Vo: What do you do Myself: I own a business, I sell foreign feed additives for poultry, pig and catfish and some agricultural machinery. Vo: Have you travel outside the country before Myself: Yes Vo: where? Myself: Canada and south Africa Vo: What do you do in Canada. Myself: was there on vacation last year for 2 wks and also studied there in 2014 He just checked the visa very briefly, like he had decided already, I told him my expired study permit is here if he will like to check but said never mind, Types a few minutes and asked Are you married? Myself: Yes Vo: how many kid Myself: one Next was sorry I cant approved your visa right now.
I dont feel bad because with the rejections I saw today, it shows that embassy dont just want to issue visa anymore, I'm scheduled for 6:45am and I just stayed at the back to see the situations, out of 50 people in front of me none was given, the reciprocity fee cubicle was empty. I think Nigerians should chill for that embassy for now please.
Infact my interview is even longer, those interviewers was making the queue going really fast, just two questions next is rejection paper.
If you have a virgin passport and thinking of applying just keep that money, you have no chance.
Those that have travel histories to some Asian and African countries, your chances is very very slim maybe none sef.
Note: my last interview before this was 2017 which was also rejected, I was asked almost same questions then but the lady said I wont approve you now but you can reapply anytime if you want, I just chill US embassy and apply to Canada which was approved in just 3 days I even have valid 2yrs UK visa
As for me, I'm done with the US embassy, no reason for the rejections, the rejection paper said no tie which I'm sure I have, Good business, family, assets, travel histories and more. Or maybe because of my young age, I have no idea. I look very young and have no intention to stay at all, even my vacation to Canada last year for 2 weeks I got tired with calls from clients, cant leave the business for one months sef. Sorry about this. Sorry. If I may, this took place in Lagos or Abuja? |

safetyman: I haven't confirmed my interview yet. I saw the date and stopped. What happens to my DS 160 form? How long does the system keep my forms? Also hope there's no panalty ? I think in a case where you haven't submitted and confirmed the DS 160, the online form will keep for no more than 30 calendar days (regular days, not business days) before you turn it in patapata. However, in your case where you have already turned it in and confirmed, I am not sure what happens if you do not go for interview in time. Let the gurus answer. |

safetyman: Yes its Abuja brother. I'm not ready for interview now. So how do i extend the date to march ending 2020? Please share if you know how i can do it. Thank you guys You must cancel your appointment with the Abuja embassy and reschedule sometimes between March 18-22 2020. Your earliest appointment date should come up a week after, which is the end of the month. You can choose later dates sef. However, note that you cannot cancel appointment more than twice. Otherwise, you'd have to pay for a new VISA FEES. So I hope you are not canceling a second time. Now, you are going to cancel and have one more grace. Goodluck |

safetyman: Guys!!
After filling the DS 160 ..I keep seeing interview dates very close. Can i shift interview dates 60days after submitting my DS160 form? As I'm working at the moment. Abuja, right? By the way, did you mean to say after filling the scheduling appointment form? I believe it's Abuja. Then, you would have to put off scheduling until later when you are ready. For Abuja, u can schedule an interview and get a date as close as a few days away.. Tops 1 week. Lagos is way longer.. |

makforex: yes, thanks. pls I want to also ask if one can pay for the visa fee through mobile application?and can the online generated receipt number be used to schedule visa appointment? Thanks Personally, I prefer to do this the old fashioned way. Walk to gtb.. No queue for this kind of thing.. No at all.. Go with your passport oo. Pay and get your receipt and the digits. Your data goes straight to their system. Get back home and schedule for an interview. U will be required to enter your pin at the end of the exercise-- there on the appointment scheduling website (ceac or something). Goodluck |

makforex: Morning my nairaland pple, pls can I schedule appointment before I submit my ds160 form? The ideal thing to do is turn in your ds 160 first (fill it out completely and submit successfully. Then go schedule an appointment. You are going to need the DS 160 application number in the appointment scheduling process. Do you understand? |

UhnNah: What was the reason for your previous refusal? have you taken care of what was mentioned? What has changed about you since then? If the university is saying they’ve sent names to the embassy! Then the embassy has an IV with your name on it!
You seems to be putting weight behind who’s inviting you! Don’t worry about that, the VO’s has very little interest in it! YOU are the one they’re interested in,You are the one they want to assess and see if they could trust you with their visa! Start evaluating yourself sincerely and have convincing answers to all possible questions the VO’s will be asking! Thank you for this forensic analysis lol. I appreciate the clarity and the fluency of knowledge provided. Keep it up, buddy. |

UhnNah: One of hardest ‘intents’ right now! And assuming you’ve been to other countries doing the same thing! That would have sealed it! But the US embassy is a very unpredictable location! It’s all in your hand to convince the VO on your interview date! I wish u luck! Thanks. But I was denied the first time I applied last year. The university had to postpone the event coz many other speakers were denied. They have reissued another iv letter and sent names to the embassy. Now what do you think? |

Purpose of travel? Marital status? Kids? Travel history? Occupation? Keynote presenter at a university Married One kid None In the academia |
Travel › Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by rago(m): 2:32pm On Jan 10, 2020 |
seyewest: No, you don't need to book any flight for U.S Visa application, I think hotel reservation is more important than flight (even the reservation must be done in such a way you can cancel it free of charge.)
One more thing for the flight, just do an estimate of the number of days you want to spend in U.S that's all, don't forget to include arrival and departure city Thanks, seyewest. Now, if the inviting organization in the USA says that it has sent names of visa applicants to our embassies, what exactly did they do? Does the VO have access to that at any time any of us shows up? And what's the chance of securing a visa for a legitimate purpose and to be back?? |

Enick: Season greetings to everyone,
I am trying to complete my ds-160 form and in other to ensure I am filling the form correctly, I was you find out if it is appropriate to list out locations as shown in the attached screenshot.
Would it have been better to state only a single location like Orlando rather than listing various locations?
Thanks. I will appreciate a prompt response. Did you book a flight with real money before your application for ds 160?? |

The truth is, you have no right to deny the kid a relationship with her biological father no matter what must have transpired. U are clearly downplaying the enormity of the sin that this father had committed. Oh let's all be a run-away dad and, what, 15-20 years later, come back and reclaim our abandoned child. Think about it. There have to be consequences! |

He didn’t care to see the statements when I tried showing them to him, but was interested in me using my mouth to say what I had in my accounts combined. Maybe just to ascertain my own personal level of comfort and capacity as I was being sponsored on the trip by one of theirs for a very reasonable and personal need of my the individual....
Wouldn’t try that nonsense now anyways , I swear! I was single and had some travel history and a good job in the Nigeria context going for me then sha. That's 2010! |

Yussuf06: Please.do the v.o get to look at ur international pass port during the interview. It's the first thing they request from you when you meet them for your interview. Should your interview be successful, you are getting a visa and would be asked to leave it behind and pick it up at so so so date and place. If they deny u a visa, they will immediately push back your passport to you and offer you a pink paper. |
