PUMP PRICE HIKE ⛽

David Bird, managing director (MD) of the Dangote Refinery, says the refinery incurs costs from 47 government agencies , adding some form of fees to the final pump price of petrol in the country.

Speaking during the a press conference in Lagos on Monday, Bird said the Federal Government of Nigeria still treats the refinery as the customer of last resort, suggesting that the best crude oil grades are sold to interantional buyers...

It will help your cause if Oando will announce that they are suspending their plan to do RI at N50 though.

PETERiCHY:
For THOSE that THINK oil PRICES are coming down anytime soon should have a RETHINK....

Brent will soon hit $200
Likewise OANDO too will soon hit #200.

DON'T be left out in this LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY .

Can we trust a bank making a stress test on itself? Is it not the CBN that is supposed to do it?

The management of the NGX should meet with CBN to work out modalities for banks to meet NGX filing requirements as per regulation. Banks and all stakeholders obey CBN regulations strictly. CBN must also respect and comply with the regulations of other institutions, especially those of the NGX where banks go to for capital raising.

Please what may have caused the 10% gain of ETERNA today? Their financial results showed a 3x drop in operating profit. They somehow end up with a higher EPS for year due to forex gain and reduced finance costs. Iran war is not a help to downstream companies. So what is it?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 6:34am On Mar 05
There could be more to this than meet the eye.

Concerning Union Dicon Salt Plc, what does NGX and SEC Rules say about a majority shareholder of a listed company, who can no longer be reached, and who may have died, or may have been lost forever?

We do not anticipate things, until they happen. Lack of proactiveness.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 1:59pm On Mar 04
Oando seems to show some support at 50, probably in line with the proposed RI price. Or is the war on Iran slowing? Emirates is said to be resuming some flights.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 11:34am On Mar 04
No. That's not what happened. In fact there were even two trades each over 1m units at 150. What happened was a cross trade of 200k that came in very late. They must have cost many people a lot of money, myself included.

jonnysessy:
There was no single trade that was up 100,000 units. Hence, it maintained the price it opened. Let's see what will happen today.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 6:37am On Mar 04
What then happens to the 50 they set for fund raising?

Looking to enter NGXGROUP tomorrow, but not sure if the dividend and bonus have not already been factored in the price. The stock already gained so much this year.

Sorry. I was off NSEMPA until now. I have replied you another post. Thanks.

stokfrick:
U

Bro, you still have not responded to my question oh.
I was asking if you still got your money and how many days did it take if you did ?
Pls this info is very important.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 7:49pm On Feb 28
Yes I got the money. But it took 4 days, and about 4 follow up emails. It used to be same day.

stokfrick:
But did you finally withdraw the money?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 4:07pm On Feb 27
Madam Myc kindly help theow some light on the goings on at Morgan. I experienced a serious delay withdrawing some money from my account with them too last week. Should we port?

AMDEX5:
Seriously, it has been very frustrasting. As in, i experience the same. No reply to mails, no picking of calls and the phone will be ringing and no one will pick it up.
If you try again instantly after your call, it will say user busy. And if you try again after the user busy, it will keep ringing without picking.
I have been thinking of alternative self.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 2:40pm On Feb 25
I think the oil and gas sector has no regional bais. There are a good number of Northern companies in every sector of the value chain. In fact many of the downstream companies fighting Alhaji belong to Northerners. Those business owners will fight to save their businesses through fuel importation no matter who heads the government. Money is really all that matters to the Nigerian rich. They have left tribal and regional biases to us the poor to fight and occasionally kill ourselves over.

Joyful365:
That's what you think. Wait till power rotates back to the north - you'll pay N1500 per litre. Imports will be banned. Few billionaires will become richer while the rest of the country becomes poorer. Never been a fan of monopoly in the midst of a very corrupt government and nothing will ever make me be. If you understand what it means to play the long game then you will know that what I have said will surely come to pass. It's now a matter of when, not if.

2027 will be the first time the north will try to grab power without relying on the west or east. If it works then dango will smile to the bank. If it doesn't, 2031 will definitely make it happen and he'll smile to the bank. Either way he's a winner.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 9:20am On Feb 25
The whole struggle was for the cabal to force the streamlining of the Dangote Refinery into their operations so that Alhaji only produces and they retain their monopoly of distribution and pricing at the pump. They finally seem to have succeeded in that.

GeeKudi:
Distributing fuel himself was always going to overwhelm him. People sometimes don't realize how big Nigeria is.

Thanks for responding.

I never experienced such delay with withdrawals from Morgan before either. And for them to acknowledge my reminder and say they are processing my request and still the money doesn't come is kind of scary.

ZikkyChops:
I withdrew last week in the morning, I got the payment in the evening. Have never got disappointed in Funds withdrawal.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 9:09pm On Feb 17
Please has anyone withdrawn funds from Morgan in the last few days? I requested to withdraw some funds since Friday using the Funds Withdrawal button in the iTrade website. I had to send a reminder email today. They acknowledged the mail and promised to process the request right away. Unfortunately I am yet to receive the money. I am sure it is not the T+2 days issues as I have available balance in my account far in excess of my request for several days.

Market seemed to have responded ro the news favorably though. I will keep holding my few units.

I like the way Otedola marketed FIRSTHOLDCO after the release of the seemingly bad results. It shows that maybe now Nigerian corporate leaders are taking the stock prices of their companies more seriously than before when they were only satisfied with just milking the companies to the bone.

Hope they will be better at managing acquisition debt than our other friends in the O&G sector.

mikeapollo:
It is because of expansion and acquiring more interest in oil fields. The upstream oil industry is highly capital intensive so once you expand it comes with huge investments and debt until you ramp up production and stabilize over the medium to long term.
