I was really surprise that he was re norminated in 2011 since he was Celestine Omehia deputy governor. He seems to be a loyal deputy governor because he work peacefully with both Ameachi and Omehia which is really weird since both ameachi and omehia are political enemies. Anyway the office of the deputy governor is a ceremonial position in Nigeria. Some commissioners in some states has more influence than most deputy governors. Its very rear to see a deputy governor take over from a governor in Nigeria.

No Nigerian governor is the chief security officer of his state. Unlike in US, we don't have state police. The governor don't have the power to appoint or fire the police commissioner unlike in the US. We really need to change the constitution of Nigeria to give more power to state governors

God is not a PDP or APC member so God has nothing to do with politics. Only in Nigeria that people always invovle God in politics. I have decided not to vote for PDP because they have nothing new to offer. APC is going to do well in SS and SE because there are people like me who are tired of pdp 15 yrs failed rule. Buhari should not expect such huge amount of polls in 2015 election unlike the previous elections. Their Underaged voters, foreigners, cows and horses would not be able to participate in Saturday's election. I have been in Maidugiri for 5 years, the southern part of borno are dominated with Christians who will vote massively for Gej on saturday even not for anything, the agony they are living due to Bokoharm insurgency. So also Adamawa, Gombe.Gej till 2019 nothing can stop that!

Interact with apc members in this two zones, they will tell u presidential is no go area, that they are voting GEJ. Whatever they are doing is for governorship. Anyway, I don't agree with you that GEJ/PDP is going to outright win in SS and SE states. There are millions of Southerners like me who are not going to vote for GEJ because he didn't live up to expectation during his 5 yrs in office. I am not going to vote for a president simply because he is from my region or religion. I think APC is going to do well in most SS and SE than in 2011 because many Nigerians are not happy with the current state of the country. I also believe that APC will get more than 25% in most SS and SE states as long as the elections are free and fair from rigging.

speak for yourself. Just because you are voting for pdp doesn't meanthe whole SE is going to vote for pdp. I have lived in the Enugu and pdp is not popular in the SE. Pdp is not also popular in Abia State and Imo state. APC is going to win some SE and SS states and will do very well in other states. I know many people from SS and SE that are going to vote for APC. I an from the SS and I don't plan on voting for GEJ because he has not done anything for my state. I don't vote for a man because he is from my region.
