spectroscopic:maybe you should write about the problems your new country is facing like over 30,000 Americans are killed from Gun violence, the killing of unarmed black mens by the police, there are more black men in prison than in colleges and university. Black earn less than whites, the proverty and unemployment rate of blacks is twice that of whites because whites are more likely to be employed by a recruiter. The US justice system is biased to blacks than whites. Leave Africans to solve our problems because you are now a US citizen. |
spectroscopic:There is opportunity everywhere in the world. Not only in the US. No doubt, US is great country but it also have its problem. There are many Nigerians who once lived in the west but decided to relocate to Nigeria and became succesfull. People like Mike Adenuga, MI, Dbanj and many more. You can make it anywhere in the world. I just don't like people putting Nigeria down |

spectroscopic:when did I say every Nigerians living in the State is driving Taxi. Your original post sound like because you are a US citizen it means that you are better than 170 million Nigerians living in Nigeria. There are over 35 million Americans on welfare and living in proverty. Many more are homeless. All the different countries in the world have problems. No country is perfect |
Im from delta state and I served in Udi LGA Enugu; I got free accomodation. Its the best state to serve. My friend served in Osun state and he always complain about the state |
Who cares if you just became a US citizen? Good luck being a slave to Uncle Sam. All countries have their problems. No country in this world is perfect. |
MudRaker:what bye-elections? Its too late for that because the general elections is just days away. I think Tambuwal knew what he was doing before deciding to defected. He is a very smart politician. He knows PDP only option to remove him is through the courts and it will take up to 3 months for the courts to decide by then his tenure as speaker will be over. I still see him remaining as speaker when the house sit next month. PDP should go to court to declare his sit vacant and let the courts interprets the constitution. This will be good for our democracy just like when Atiku 2007 court cases which stated a deputy can defect from his party. |
MudRaker:I agree with you but what Im trying to say that he will survive a vote of confidence from the house of rep when they sit next month. PDP don't have influence on its house members like you think because from day 1 they have continue to vote against some of the party policy. |
tit:what you fail to realise is that most of the pdp house members are northerner and are also in support of the speaker. I think the speaker would survive a vote of confidence in the house because all APC members would vote for him and he will still have support from some northern pdp house members. You should remember when he got voted into office that he was not pdp choice for speaker. He won because APC and some northern PDP members like Farouk supported him. The speaker is 3 time house member and he must have done his homework before he decided to defect. He must have done a wide range of consultation among the house members. He knows he still have majority support from the house members. If you notice it that no house member has publicly call for him to resign. |
Gloria3389:don't you know we practice stomach infrastructures democracy in Nigeria |
udemzy101:why don't you go to Mubi to get the pictures. Nobody is happy that innocent people are killed. We just want the government to do more in protecting the lives of Nigerians |
tinkinjow:Bro, Im tired of hearing about boko haram seizing towns. 6 years is a long time to degrade and defeat boko haram. The Nigeria army has more men and weapons and are better trained than boko haram. The boko haram sect seems to grow in strength every day and its time for a change in military leadership. If it takes the employment of Israeli military advisers to defeat BH then GEJ should employ them. I have lost faith in our military leadership because they are clueless. |
Air attack for an unconventional force like boko haram is a waste of time and resources. What happen to our ground forces. Im really ashamed of our army leadership because they have failed Nigerians. I think its time for GEJ to replace them. |
Op, it seems like you have short memory. Its another election year and it seems like you have forgotten the corpers killed in Bauchi during the last election. You better don't go to bauchi if you are not from that state or be prepare for the worse |
link2ok:I know but you got to move on with your life. I think you should delete her number if it causes you too much pain. Its like waiting for a call that will never come |
I deleted my good friend number a day after I heard about his death. Whats the point of keeping his number |
Shame on the Nigeria government. A government that cant protect the life and properties of Nigerians |
rinrin23:you are right in a way. However, I don't argue with people about my beliefs because its a waste of time. Its hard to convince someone to change his religious beliefs that he has spend his entire life believing in. When I was in university, I didn't argue with my religious friends because I knew it would not make any different. Anyway, I am the kind of guy who believe that religion beliefs is suppose to be a personal and its wrong to force someone to share your religious belief. You are also right about atheist female having it hard because Nigeria is a society where the female is suppose to convert to the religious beliefs of her husband. I seen many cases where Muslim husband force their christain wives to convert Islam and vice versa. |
frfrank:see your big mouth like GEJ hat. Why didn't you help in donating money for GEJ campaign? |
urcutecrush:lol. It would be very difficult to prevent your kids from learning about religion in school in Nigeria unless your kids are raised abroad or you plan to home school your kids. I remember religious study was madatory Subject from my primary 1 to my jss 3. Also you are right that you might have problem with your husband family if they are uneducated and religious fanatics because in some part of Nigeria, atheists are label as Anti-christ or Satan worshipers. |
rinrin23:you shouldnt live a life of pretence as an atheist to your spouse. A husband don't don't respect your religious beliefs don't deserve to be with you. Sadly, Nigeria is a country filled with religious bigots and being an atheists is as worse as being a gay in Nigeria society. I have never really met an open female atheists in Nigeria because most are scared of discrimination from friends and family. Personally, I don't mind marrying an atheist or a theist as long as my spouse respect my religious beliefs and don't try to force her religious beliefs on me or my family. |
I have never been to Abuja but I think Abuja will be a better place to live than over crowded lagos |
Agybabe:lol. I cant answer that question. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I might look ugly to you but handsome to another someone else. |
The article is right.Nigeria politics is not yet advance for choosing their leaders based on real issues. We operate a stomach infrastructures type of democrazy mixed with tribalism and religion. In Nigeria politics, the candidate with the the highest amount of money and power usually win. GEJ might not be popular in terms of his leadership right now but he is going to win because people don't vote based on the real issues affecting the country. Nigeria democrazy still have a long way to go |
Agybabe:if you are to choose between both; who will you choose |
Agybabe:would you prefer to marry a very handsome man who would beat you every day and cheat on you or would prefer an ugly "beast" who would love and adore you and never hurt you? |
My advice to APGA is that they should merge with PDP because they don't act like an opposition party |
VickyyB:I didn't say all pretty girls don't have good manners. I said its better to marry a girl with good character than a pretty girl with bad character |
BigBashiru:your original question was beauty or character which is more important. And my answer was character is the most important features when choosing a spouse. Of course other factors like education, beauty, family background, medical background are also important but character should be considered first before considering other factors |
BigBashiru:beauty fade with time. Your wife is not going to look hot forever. Character is more important than beauty when choosing a spouse |
