I think DOPC has put almost all their HNS7000 VSAT customers on 1 IP which drags Yahoo! due to many access through 1 I.P, like 1000 people trying to access Yahoo! on 1 connection, ofcourse their would be Client Error. I have made enquiry for a better VSAT and I will be installing end of this month.

I CAN ACCESS EVERY WEBSITES, BUT I RECIEVE THE FOLLOWING ERROR WHILE ACCESSING YAHOO " Web Acceleration Client Error (515.2) - Upstream TCP Connection Establishment Timeout" THIS HAS TURNED THE INTEREST OF ALL CUSTOMERS DOWN IN MY CAFE, I HAVE COMPLAINED MANY TIMES WITH DOPC AND THEY HAVE FOUND NOTHING DONE TO IT, THEY ONLY ASK TO BUY ANOTHER IP, STILL YET THIS PROBLEM STILL OCCURS, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BAD AS HELL, NO RESPONSE AND NO CARE, VERY RISKY TO RELY ON DOPC CONNECTION. I AM GOING FOR GILAT OR LINKSERVE. IS THERE ANYONE USING DOPC THAT HAS SAME PROBLEM? PLEASE NAIRALANDER, I NEED ADVICE AND WHAT TO DO.

@Guys, if your connection is showing 115.2Kbps for Multilinks Dial-Up or any other Dial-up connections, that does not mean your internet speed is the number of speed showing on your computer, the number of speed showing is the capacity of speed the modem of the dial-up can go with, that it can not contain speed configuration than that speed. The normal speed our dial-up is running in Nigeria is below 24.5 Kbps which is Legal FRAUD!!!

Hello Everyone:

Please I need advise about Wireless ISP. Is WISP same as WiMax.

I have an uncle in London, he wants to come home and have an investment, but I advise him instead of cyber cafe, he can invest in something better in technology as Wireless ISP. Please if anyone have experience of the WISP, what are the equipment that would be need to run WISP or WiMax and also billing/authentication service to switch wireless users off/on.
Please advise if the Cyber Cafe would be better or WISP/Wimax.
