joo2018: Interesting discussion earlier between @ramj and @iamkunski. I decided to do a little bit of research before contributing.
To recap: @ramj wrote that "be informed that any work experience before min requirement for NOC is invalid...any work experience before the NOC's minimum educational requirement does not counts"
@iamkunski accepted that experience gotten during full time study does not count but quoted from yr working experience required. During your service, you can plan what to do to increase your points and make your Canada dream a reality. Nice input Joo2018. Welldone. Je m'appelle Ramj |

Sannisege: Hi, I got a Ph.D. last November but I have been working as a university lecturer for 7 years therefore my NOC is 4011 (University professors and Lecturers). Please does it mean I can only claim one year experience since I was doing the PhD and working at the same time for 6 years? To put this argument to bed - MSc holder can teach even BSc holders can teach in the university. This is the way this thing works. There is a question you would be asked when creating your EE profile under work experience and it comes immediately after they ask for your NOC - that question no be mistake. Date Sannisege first became qualified to practice in this occupationBaba if you put your PHD graduation as the answer to this question then i tell you, you would only be getting one year work experience. But since you got the job as a MSc/Bsc holder - that was the requirement to get the job. Then you need to put the MSc/BSc graduation as the answer to this question. See the attached - and read the notes carefully. Je m'appelle Ramj

Eddy4400: Okay, thanks for the feedback. When filling BSc start and end date post ITA in personal history, should he input Dec 2012 or Sept 2013 as end date? Either works but in this scenario better to put Dec 2012 and the LOE still cover him getting certificate in Sept 2013. Je m'appelle Ramj |

iamkunski: Now you're talking about a different thing. Work experience during a fulltime study doesn't count but, thats different from what you said about work experience before meeting NOC requirement. It's there clearly on CIC website, stop confusing things. Oga no be fight you didnt read my comments well, any work experience before the NOC's minimum educational requirement does not counts - whether you are in school or not it does not count. its the same thing i just re-wrote with more grammar and "explanology". Eddy4400: I was just thinking about this. How about if someone finished in Dec 2012, started work in Feb 2013 but BSc certificate carries Sept 2013? Can one claim points for months worked? Very crucial in getting 25 more points if he chooses 3 or more years.
If not, can he state finish date as Dec 2012? Any success stories with this kinda profile? Thanks You can write an LOE that although you graduated in Dec 2012, you didnt get your certificate till 2013. That works. Je m'appelle Ramj |

lk1234: Congrats to everyone who got ITA recently.
Also starting off on this journey and need clarification regarding evaluation of ICAN certificates. I understand WES evaluates "ICAN ACA" certificate as " two year professional study of accounting" but also add the remark "not comparable to any Canadian education credential". What does this outcome actually mean and can it still be used to claim two certificates for express entry application? Has anyone used it this way and still got past to PPR? If you have ICAn ATS, you can evaluate that but it your certificate carries AWBA ensure ICAN sends a letter with your transcript that its from them because WES does not evaluate ABWA (unless they see that note from ICAN) ICAN alone is a no no. iamkunski: This is not true. Okay oo try it at your own peril... Why do you think they ask about the minimum requirement for your NOC and when you qualified for that. Once again work experience, internships et al while as full time student or while qualifying for the minimum educational requirement for your NOC does not count. Its this same reason that NYSC is allowed because NYSC is after graduation. If during my Elect/Elect program there was strike for 2 years and i worked as an Electrical Engineer in a company, i cant use that experience because i am still a student - simple Je m'appelle Ramj

Vancouver4: I can remember date lecture started(1) and date school fees was paid(3). I don't know date admission was given(2) becos I can't find my admission letter.
I asked this question because my name came out in first list and it took several months before lectures started in order to release second and third admission list. Now, these several months above is encroaching into the work duration that I am claiming points on. Work experience how. be informed that any work experience before min requirement for NOC is invalid If my NOC requires BSC degree, any experience I have in that NOC before the graduation is invalid and can't be used. 1soul: Good day house.
Please I made contact with my school on my pre-degree transcript which was for a full academic session. I was rightly informed they can prepare the transcript for me for the purpose of verification.
However, the pre-degree office informed me they can't give me a certificate of attendance for the program.
Please is it possible to go through the office of the registra to obtain a certificate for such program to count as additional certificate for ECA?
The hustle for more certificate is real. I would advice you wait till we get update from @diallin, he is currently evaluating his pre-degree and degree on ICES. So lets just wait to get his full update. Je m'appelle Ramj |

gold638: Thank you all for your response to my queries. Pls I have a random question. If I want to include my someone close to me in the immigration matter, but we are not exactly related, what’s the best route to take for her? She’s 19yrs and about to get into Uni. Looking forward to your responses. Very simple let her graduate and start the process on her own or when you get to canada yourself you can sponsor her education and after that she migrates on her own. Abi can someone adopt a 19 year old ni - well if you can you can adopt her and make her one of your dependants in this journey - submit all documents that your have adopted her ... classified010: Regarding this quoted post... Does it mean that CICC go extra mile to check American Embassy's data base for application records of every EE applicants even if applicants did not mention being denied American visa before in their EE application process?.... i am really worried because i have been denied America Visa twice and to be honest the agent i used then lied on my behalf i subscribed to it. Now feel this is going to hunt me down in my EE application.
please has anyone gone score-free in this kind of situation? I know i have not choice than to write a letter of explanation regarding this, but i just want to know if keeping silent about it i.e(scaling through without mentioning it in one's application) is safe.
Please no criticism and insult... just helpful contribution, opinion and advise is required. Please speak up and say it as it happened. I used an agent and i was advised ignorantly to do so so so and so. This led to the refusals PLEASE DO NOT HIDE ANY INFORMATION OOO Keep quiet at your own peril sir. As you can see the guy in the post by @Godisincontrol - the guy mentioned one refusal and held back details of the second refusal. A word is ....... And YES they go more than an extra mile to verify things. You would be schocked how meticulous those guys are. They want the best in their system. Je m'appelle Ramj |
