Hello congrats on your PPR.
Please I would like to ask about your UK pcc; how were you able to have it sent to a UK address since you have to present a proof of living in that address cos mine is also yet to get here.
Thanks and congrats again.
Its just for easy delivery. You can send it to anywhere in the world. It does not have to be where you currently reside

Kinda painful that I might have gotten it today too with 441 that I just got with my last IELTS as 8.5,9,8,8.5(story for the main day)but the downside is it’s 437 with Spouse so I wasn’t so anxious about putting it in. Let’s see what tomorrow brings by God’s Grace.

Congrats again dear.

Hello people,
Congratulations to all who got ITA. Mine is coming in a big way too... Soon... I want to ask this question for a friend please but I will like to narrate the story first.
She was refused visa to USA in 2013 for child birth but after which, she has been going frequently. Now she applied for PR, got ITA, filled all the necessary documents but at the part where she was asked whether she has been refused ViSA before? She picked NO as the response considering she has been to USA after she was refused VISA. Now her application has been stuck at a point. She has raised a GCMS note but no response yet. Now she is guessing that the refusal is the reason for the delay. How can she remediate the situation before she is being banned for misrepresentation? Elders in the house please
She obviously has misreperesented. The question was quite clear have you been refused before. I am curious why she decided to say NO

She can raise a CSE using this link https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx
or click here

She has to hope its not too late to rememdy the situation.

Please lets always try to read questions thoroughly before answering. This situation is not needed. A simple i was refused once would have saved her this headache.

The 5 points is usually deducted from your score even before u submit after ITA ,u can check this by using the 'review my score' button at the end of the page.
However, the visa officer is obliged to calculate your score based on your pre ITA info. So even if your score drops below ITA cut off cos of birthday, you cannot be rejected based on that except you changed a vital info that affected your scores.so its no surprise it shows up on gcms Don't know how to post links relating to this from cic

@xtosync, @glitteringstar and @tojued

I believe the IRCC tweet is valid. It is a question of misunderstanding.

Yes the requirement for work during school is strict for the CEC program so that people will not cheat the system and use a student visa to claim work points. It also seems generally applicable for FSW as long as it refers to the minimum employment requirements i.e. B.Sc, OND, HND. You cannot really claim a job that you are not qualified for.

The examples in the thread including @dupyshoo are for PG. So yes, a lecturer doing M.Sc or PhD has already met the employment requirements since she has a B.Sc. I'm not too sure of the OND, but I think it may fly.

See @Qsola's link and @glitteringstar's response. https://www.nairaland.com/4212543/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/520#66386132
She did not really clarify and did not add it to her PPR gist.

See another case: https://www.nairaland.com/4212543/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/521#66387172

However to balance it, Section 80 of IRPR states that it is not mandatory for an applicant to meet the employment requirements for a NOC. But in practice (I guess to counter fraud) case officers do sometimes request for ADRs from applicants to clarify how they became qualified to practice a profession.

I did a write-up earlier, you can study it: https://www.nairaland.com/4657743/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/367#71787799
I remember this issue came up about 2 weeks ago and we opined at lenght on this. @Joo2018 nice one as always

The way i explain it is this - you would be asked when did you first qualify to practice this NOC of choice. If you say the minimum requirement
is BSc then any experience gained before or during that course of BSC study would not count.

You can continue with your MSc or PHD afterwards and still be working its allowed .

I hope it helps again.

Good day al.

My three year old scribbled on one of the pages of my Nigerian passport (not the data page). What could be the implication of this for this entire process? I am due to write IELTS first week in December.
Nothing happens just make sure you include your international passport on the "keep away from Children" list.

Go and write your exams no issues.

also remember your passport has multiple blank pages for good reasons

elders in the house any advise

Need more inputs

Thanks.

Hello house , make una help me look into this matter , am filling my application and I noticed I need to include family( sister , brother , mother , father etc) details even tho they are not accompanying me.
But I get one small problem my twin sister over stayed in USA , long time ago , due to marriage issues. Her hubby keeps beating her. angry she’s still currently in the USA. But she’s planning on coming back. This year
Pls should I add her to my application or will it affect my application if I don’t
But if I add her will her status affect my application , can’t wait till she’s back cous my ita will expire.
Pls honest advice.
Having sleepless night on the matter
Oga what more do you want.

All they need is her name DOB and address.

They dont know neither do they care about her status.

They just need to know those related to you simple as ABC. Leave her out and she ceases to be your blood in IRCC-eyes.

Go to sleep man!!!

Thanks for your response bro
Concerning NOC I used my job duties and later found out it fits in Level B also so I’m safe .
I worked as an “airline loadmaster” which comprises of two major job roles i . e “airline load planner” and “airline load supervisor”.. load planner fell under NOC C Whilst “load control supervisor fell under NOC B .. so I think I can carry on

2. Lastly my wife has only Nigeria bsc, she has to do ECA also ? Or is it only me since I’m the principal applicant?

Thank you once again bro.
Nice one you were able to find a relevant NOC.

Its a function of your CRS score if your wife needs to verify her degree. So use the calculator http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

3.ation programs do you advice I apply for ?
Thank you very much in advance Cheers.
1. Yes only your MSC would do. 2. Since it's foreign you dont need WAEC. WAEC can be done in proxy though.
3. Remember NOC is about job duties not the title. if its NOC C then.. whats that your job to start with possible you are not checking right.
Let's help.

You know how they can be. I was thinking of just gathering a thread of correspondence showing that I made an effort. Let’s see how it goes sha. Kibris will not hold us down
You complie a case of all your efforts and attempt and submit.

If you can’t get a police certificate from your country or territory
If you’re unable to get a police certificate from a country, you’re responsible to show why you can’t get one.

To prove that you can’t get a police certificate, you must:

show proof that you requested a police certificate from the correct authorities and
write a letter explaining all the efforts you have taken to get one

Even if you send us the above items, this is not a guarantee of acceptance.

Interesting judicial appeal case A - on the need to balance submitting too little and too much information.

1. Here the applicant submitted only documents specified in the documents checklist, but was rejected because the case officer was not convinced by the reference letter. She appealed on the basis of procedural fairness, but the judge sided with CIC.

"[12] The Applicant relied on the Document Checklist for Permanent Residence in the Canadian Experience Class (“Checklist”) provided by CIC in submitting her application, expecting that, by complying with the Checklist, there would be no evidentiary issues...

...[14] This Court has further held that, while an applicant may be provided with a list of required documents by the agency accepting the application, the applicant is not limited to supplying only those documents (Qin v Canada (Minister of Citizenship and Immigration), 2002 FCT 815, [2002] FCJ No 1098 at para 7). Here, the Applicant was free to submit T4 tax information slips"
Arachchige v. Canada (Citizenship and Immigration) 2012 FC 1068
That is to say anything you feel can support your case kindly submit or write an LOE. Hmmmmmm.
