Phones / New Batteries To Harbor Water To Prevent Overheating by rammyblog: 3:07am On Sep 09, 2017
Most times our smartphones become very hot it is due to an overheating battery and at times beacuse of this intense heat, The battery may catch fire or explode even. We all know what happened in 2016 when there were issues with the design of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 that caused many of the phones to blow up and Samsung had to issue a worldwide Recall of the phone.

Ever since, Many smartphone users have become conscious of their batteries and its potential to overheat, Researchers have been working their asses out and have discovered a possible solution and YES, its all about water.

well to cut the long story short and be more incisive, Smartphones uses which use lithium-ion (li-ion) batteries which have electrolytes inside them that aids movement between the electrodes and the ions, these electrolytes are made of organic chemicals which could cause the battery to ignite under certain conditions. The Researchers describes a form of lithium-ion battery that uses Water instead of organic compunds. cool right?

These batteries would still generate as much power as its chemical counterpart and the electrodes inside will have a coating that wont degrade with the use of water-based electrolyte, But There's a downside sadly

The Normal battery our phones use has a minimal limit of at least 500 cycles but these new batteries would only have about 70 cycles

But its technology right? it will always get better.

Technology is going to greater heights each day, I still remember those days when 128MB microSD was everything, Now currently in Nigeria, you would find it hard to use it a smartphone with less than 8GB space.

Sandisk announces its biggest microSD and the microSD comes with an amazing 400GB space which happens to be the first of its kind.

The new microSD with adapter is can take up to 35 hours of full HD video. So we ought no to be
surprised as SanDisk is marketing this microSD toward action camera and gaming console owners.
The 400GB microSD card is tiny but packs a punch
The amazing fact about the new microSD is that it has up to 100MB/s transfer speeds, which implies that you can transfer up to 1,200 photos in just a minute. Awesome Right.

PRICE IN NIGERIA
The 400GB micro SD would start shipping this month September and cost for a whopping
N89625 . Costly but worth every penny.

Sincerely, Sandisk has really come a long way because i remember using one of their inventions, 128MB TransFlash which was invented in 2004.

Phones / How To Get 9mobile 1gb Data For Just N200 And 5gb For N1000 by rammyblog: 12:22pm On Aug 22, 2017
Like i said in all my previous post concerning 9mobile , There are trying to gather more customers back and build a more reputable name for themselves, But as a smart Nigerian we have to take advantage of their sorry situation and make the best out of it. Like a wise man once said "Enjoy It While It Last"
9Mobile has been bringing back all the goodies Etisalat offered us back in the days, and they are making it even more better, remember the "RAMADAN SPECIAL OFFER" where etisalat gave out 1GB worth of data for just N200 to celebrate the day.

Well, it was discontinued shortly after the Ramadan festivities but 9Mobile in their mercies has just brought it back, as you can now you can resubscribe to 9Mobile 1GB data for just N200! . This data plan is legit and you can use it for any internet enabled device , Android, iOS, Laptops, Modems, Blackberry, BB10, Windows Phone, Symbian/Java phones; Cool Right. Below is the method in which you can subscribe to 9Mobile 1GB data for just N200.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO 9MOBILE 1GB DATA FOR N200
 Recharge Your Sim or Make Sure You Have At-least N200 On Your Sim
 Dial *929*10# to activate the offer
 The data is valid for 3days
 To Check Your Data Balance, Dail *228#

NOTE:
You might receive error messages while trying to activate the offer, don't be dismayed by this error messages, just continue dialing the code, you would surely get activated.
This subscription is great because it is the cheapest you can get during the day, though i reported Glo TGIF offer here which is cheap but its a night and weekend plan. But if you are a heavy internet user and download, live stream etc a lot then this 9mobile offer is best for you.

OH, You thought i forgot about the 5gb for N1000....., Well, think otherwise because. like i said earlier we should take full advantage of this gesture as we don't know when we might get another one. "Companies Like Etisalat do not fail everyday"
HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO 9MOBILE 5GB DATA FOR N1000.

Phones / Google Pays Apple $3 Billion To Be The Default Search Engine On The Iphone by rammyblog: 3:57pm On Aug 19, 2017
As the Android vs iPhone rivalry began to intensify a few years ago, Apple pulled a power move and quickly removed Google apps like YouTube and Google Maps from the iOS homescreen, the most valuable piece of screen real estate in mobile. These days, Apple and Google remain fierce competitors in the mobile space, but the two companies still enjoy a longstanding and mutually beneficial relationship when it comes to mobile Safari.

Whether you’re aware of it or not, the default search engine on mobile Safari has always been Google. And seeing as how Apple has never shied away from sticking it to Google, you might be wondering why Apple hasn’t replaced Safari’s search engine with, say, Bing or DuckDuckDuck Go. The answer here is two-fold. For starters, Google remains the top search engine on the planet, and replacing it with an alternative wouldn’t exactly align with Apple’s commitment towards enhancing the user experience. Second, and more importantly, Google pays Apple a whole a lot of money for the privilege of being the go-to search engine on mobile Safari.

With search-based advertising still accounting for the lion’s share of Google’s revenue, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that the search giant is more than willing to pay Apple an exorbitant fee to keep Google search front and center on mobile Safari. According to analyst A.M Sacconaghi Jr., Google this year is on pace to pay Apple a whopping $3 billion in 2017 for the right to remain the default search engine on iOS.

“Court documents indicate that Google paid Apple $1B in 2014, and we estimate that total Google payments to Apple in FY 17 may approach $3B,” Bernstein analyst A.M. Sacconaghi Jr. said. “Given that Google payments are nearly all profit for Apple, Google alone may account for 5% of Apple’s total operating profits this year, and may account for 25% of total company OP growth over the last two years.”

That’s a hefty sum, but it certainly stands to reason that the price Apple charges has gone up considerably since the $1 billion figure Google paid in 2014.
As far as business relationships go, this one seems mutually beneficial. As far as Google is concerned, the deal gives it prime placement on the iPhone and the iPad. And as far as Apple goes, the $3 billion figure is essentially free money.

Hey Guys, Am back with another cool trick, this trick is so cool am starting to feel like a Magician.
Well, In Nigeria currently, no network as good coverage everywhere, Not even MTN. This is expected due to large land mass of Nigeria.
Most of you would feel i want to start hating Glo again, But surprising Glo is reason am able to post this article today.

The MTN DOUBLE OFFER trick is no longer news (Read Here),But over here for some months now MTN has been really poor, And it forced me to abandon the sim. But i neglected the fact that network is poor and i subscribed. As a Tech "Magician" i was able to make it work.
HOW TO MAKE ANY NETWORK BROWSE FAST IN NIGERIA
The Trick i used was to change my APN settings to another network own.

1. Know The Network That Is The Fastest In terms of Browsing in Your Area

2. Create A New APN In Your Settings using the APN of The Fastest Network:
Over here GLO is the fastest, And i want to browse with MTN, So i created a new APN settings using "gloflat".

BELOW IS THE LIST OF THE FOUR MAJOR NETWORK APN
MTN
APN: web.gprs.mtnngeria.net Username: web
Password: web

9Mobile
APN: 9mobile
Username: blank
Password: blank

Airtel
APN: internet.ng.airtel.com
Username: internet
Password: internet

Globacom
APN: gloflat
