The problem is the helping your partner part, most people want their partner to change but they don’t want to help, all young people do these days is either get blinded by lust and claim to love the person with their past and flaws and all, or they’ll just abandon ship.
Romance / Re: Boys From The Southern States Of Nigeria Are Mostly Undatable... by Randommikey(m): 7:08am On Jan 19, 2022
Hey lady, you’re just 18, you haven’t dated all the boys in the southern parts of the country, it’s just in your environment. You can’t judge the whole south because the boys in your area have dreads and they are undateable.
I’m not from the south, I’m also just 21 years old, but I always try to keep an open mind and I try not to judge situations and people just based on my environment.
Plus you can always just not date a southern guy, it’s that simple
Romance / Re: Who Can Understand This Mystery?? by Randommikey(m): 8:39pm On Jan 10, 2022
First of all light years is distance In space not a unit for the observable universe. Secondly, the sun has nothing to do with time, our sun could go out and we’d still die of old age, that’s if we survive the aftermath of what happens if the sun dies.
I do agree with you that God exists outside time and space, but try to back it up with true facts, I believe time can be stopped without anyone knowing, it probably has been done before.
Facts man, use facts

Contrary to popular beliefs, Precum doesn’t contain sperm cells, it’s just lubricant for the main cum itself
Romance / Re: ....still Waiting For My Virgin Prince Charming by Randommikey(m): 10:54pm On Dec 31, 2021
jmoore:

Which society? Society can be dumb sometimes.

Everybody on earth was born a virgin. Where did the non virgin get their experience?

Sex is not rocket science. It is an instinct. Who teaches a new born baby how to suck breasts?
I’m not saying it's good what society is doing, I’m saying that’s how it is

All the pornstars you see today were once virgins. He'll learn to be good in bed with his wife.
Yes but women would want to have a guy who’s already good in bed, let’s say you marry this virgin and meet someone that has experience with women and he sweeps you off your feet and y’all have sex, females will still say it was because your husband is not good in bed
Romance / Re: ....still Waiting For My Virgin Prince Charming by Randommikey(m): 12:35am On Dec 30, 2021
I think being a male virgin is not so great, because he’ll be inexperienced and not last long. If that happens, wahala.
They’ll say he's bad on bed.
At least that’s how society makes it seem.

That, or he has a fetish

I went through the same situation with minor differences, don’t worry. I know it’s painful and now you despise her but don’t worry, just move on. Don’t mind that person that said y’all had sex and all, sex isn’t payment for all the care and love you showed her

Education / Re: Do You Have ADHD? by Randommikey(m): 1:53pm On Jul 20, 2020
Is it because I said “hear a voice in your head”?

When you read, don’t you hear your voice reading the words out in your head? Or do you just look at the words?

Education / Do You Have ADHD? by Randommikey(m): 4:20am On Jul 20, 2020
I know right?

What the hell is ADHD?

It’s short for attention deficit/hyperactive disorder and a lot of people have been living with it, especially here in Nigeria, and they don’t don’t know it.

Now this is not a sure diagnosis but, if you think you have symptoms contact your doctor for a proper diagnosis.

Now let’s jump in, shall we?

Are you always absent mind?
Do people say you’re always cutting them off mid sentence?
Do think a lot? (Not necessarily important thoughts)

Now let me elaborate.

When someone is talking, and you’re look at the person, you’re looking at his eyes. “Or no”. You think. “I should be looking at his/her mouth”. “Or maybe his/her nose”. “Ahhh that’s weird”. Before you realize it, you’ve missed almost everything the person is saying.

Or let’s say you go to the kitchen to get a glass of water and end up coming back with snacks and everything in the fridge except water.

How about when you’re reading, you hear your voice reading out the words to you in your head but then, after a while, you have no idea how you got to the page you’re currently on.

You find very long things boring, you’re terrible with names and you don’t have the best memory.

You hardly ever observe tiny details, like when someone bought new shoes or painted they’re nails.

You misplace things a lot

If you have all of these symptoms, then I’m happy to tell you, your village people are innocent and you have ADHD. Well this is the attention deficit part, or just ADD i guess.

If you have any questions I’ll answer them.

Note: This is not an official diagnosis, visit your doctor for confirmation. And you don’t have to worry, you’re not a mad person.
Romance / Re: Broke Guys Shouldnt Even Have Erections by Randommikey(m): 3:54am On Jul 20, 2020
I can clearly see that biology isn’t your strong suit so let me break it down. We men have a hormone in our body, testosterone, it’s the male sex hormone and the thing is plenty in men. Well except some rare cases, like that south African athletes that is not going to be allowed to run in the next Olympics because she has too much testosterone, and it’s literally a man with lady parts. It’s partly responsible for our aggressive behavior and temper (especially when we’re denied sex), it is almost impossible to control our urges.

Those “broke men”, are still men

They’re still men, money or no money.
They can’t help it

And because they’re not financially stable they shouldn’t be the way God created them?

You should’ve at least said irresponsible men should not impregnate women and leave the responsibility to the woman alone. Even a rich guy can say “I don’t want to have kids or marry now”, then he’ll get some girl pregnant. Yes he’ll pay all the bills and they’ll never lack, but how will she feel raising a child alone, being the mother and (if it’s she gives birth to a boy), making sure her child isn’t a spineless wimp in future.
That’s if the rich guy even admits he’s the father. He has money, he has connections and we happened to be a country where nobody cares about anything, he can rig the DNA test results and what is the woman left with? Regret and shame.

Money doesn’t make a person responsible

Type something reasonable next time

Romance / Re: My Sperm Retention Testimony: Amazing Results Of No Masturbation And Sex by Randommikey(m): 12:39am On Jul 13, 2020

Okay

Seriously though, I'm neither "pro or anti" whatever this topic is promoting but.. seriously man, you had a low GP because of sex and masturbation, you don't remember things clearly because of sex and masturbation? What buffoonery! grin

I think this post and all the plenty accompanying talk is testament to the fact that you are still in fact addicted to the thoughts of sex and it's messing with your psyche man. From your points, It's safe to assume that sexually active people are dull, unproductive and that they fail in school and life in general? It's also safe to assume that men like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Aliko Dangote, Lebron James as per your reasoning etc are part of some cult founded on vows of celibacy and sperm retention.

Man, if you don't geddifok!

Took the words right out of my mouth man, everything he supposedly recovered from was not because of sex, It was because the nigga was hooked.

I mean how can he pass exams when girls with big nyash are everywhere, and all he can think about is which one he’s going to smash.
Romance / Re: Do I Tell My Boyfriend He's Not Smart ? by Randommikey(m): 2:32pm On Jun 08, 2020
Try talking to him about things he likes, he might have a problem with paying attention. Don’t talk about what you want to talk about, he might find it uninteresting, ask him what he wants to talk about, tell him to explain something you don’t understand, like sports or stuff that you know he likes. He might be more willing to pay attention to the conversation.

Your first sentence was the perfect answer. It's a shame that boredom still crept in. For me it's almost inevitable at some point, i can feel it creeping in most times. And once it fully settles, there's really not much i could do than a "break". Well, i hope you can get back to what you love someday smiley

Thanks man, I feel better now, even though my family won’t understand, at least some people do.

My girlfriend is really trying, we’ve been dating for a year plus now and I think she’s used to it now.

Man, i "zone out" like crazy. Maintaining absolute concentration isn't something i can do intentionally. Especially when the task is something that requires conscious attention, and aslo requires me to think continuously. It's almost like my mind needs to take a break from time to time, so i just zone out to some other interesting thought

Although if i may say, i tend to be able to concentrate fully at long stretches if it's a passive activity. Let's say something like, if i were reading a very interesting article online, or playing PES.

I can relate to the procrastination part too, that's usually how it is. Thought i was to only one who tended to forget things at the vital time. I often forget to properly articulate my views during an argument. Only to remember what i should've said when I'm not in that vicinity anymore. Honestly I've just had to accept that aspect of me grin

So, I'd like to ask. Learning a computer based skill such as yours is no easy feat, especially for one who struggles to concentrate. How did you do it man? Honestly I tried to dabble into programming, ended up quiting beacuse i just lost steam. Could hardly concentrate anymore

I have love for programming that’s why, I learnt a little python and C++ and tried to make a bot called my friend, but then I got bored because I couldn’t think of much things for the bot to say, I would have learnt fully but time doesn’t permit me, I’m a biochemistry and we don’t really have anything to with code, I’ve stopped learning. I would love the opportunity though

That's cool. Honestly i can relate to always having second thoughts about things, most especially downplaying them beacuse I'm a pessimist, as much as I'd hate to admit that. It's funny you thought people would get bored with your post. It almost looked like you projected your own fear towards them, you did say you get bored easily didn't you?

I'd like to ask though, are you a procrastinator? If so, is it chronic?

The main reason I feel my work isn’t good enough is, when I what post something, another even better topic pops up in my mind, compared to the one is was about to post or the ones I have already posted, the idea seems far better, and I wonder why I didn’t post the one in my head instead

I procrastinate a lot, I have a very good memory, when I’m lost in my thoughts I tend to forget what I planned to do, by the time the memory of my obligations come to mind, it’s too late or I’m not in that vicinity. And so I say I’ll do it the next day, but the circles continues for a while before I force remember it at the appropriate time. Even as I write this, there are things getting my attention away from my phone for some seconds, I’m a optimist by the way.

It becomes worst if you think too negative and drown yourself in anxiety, all you’re going to be thinking about is how life isn’t fair, just try to think happy thoughts, think of one or two funny moments, laugh to yourself. But don’t ever block out the ones you love.

I got try to catching myself and bringing myself back, but I still often miss out on discussions and lectures. Train yourself to catch yourself drifting away in thought, then come back and listen.

They have ADHD medications that help you focus for some hours, that means you’d have to keep taking them all your life, but I don’t think I can afford them yet.

All my life I thought everyone was just had these things I was experiencing.

The Nigerian education system doesn’t help matters at all.

Please don’t panic, first is be sure. They have this online site for self diagnosis, you fill out a questionnaire and they’ll tell you what you might have, or if you really have ADHD, mine came out positive for ADHD every time I did it. If you want to be very sure though, visit a professional

smileyplease tell us more about how it affects your daily life

Well I’m in 300 level and with the way Nigerian universities are, I struggle with my school work. My jobs is kinda better cause I manage a website that deals with music, I love music.

I don’t read novels anymore because it take me ages to finish it, I could be read, hear the voice in my head, but then, all of a sudden I’m lost and I don’t know how I got to that page I’m currently on. I would have to go back five or four pages to see where I remember I stopped, this also happens with my school work. That’s how I struggle.

I play basketball and I’m very good, but sometimes I catch myself lost in the middle of the game, this happens if my team mates don’t pass to me or if my teammates aren’t playing with energy or zeal to win, I’ll just drift off in my own thoughts and be useless in that particular game.

I don’t notice little deals, like if my girlfriend changes her hair or her nails, she has to change something pronounced like her clothes or skin tone before I notice (not say she changed her skin tone)

I have a part time job, I manage a website for this small company coming up in plateau state. It affects my job somewhat, I have an idea to post something that seemed very good at first, then suddenly it becomes boring no matter how unique I make it, I always seem to think it will bore people. Haven’t posted in a while though.
