I am a student advisor at one of the German Universities. Considering the number of emails I receive on daily basis, I would like to post a general advice on applying to German Universities as replying to the emails with similar enquiries is actually taking my time. Please understand that I am willing to assit but please make sure that you are serious about studying in Germany.

Yes you can work in Germany without speaking German but as a student, u are only allowed to work for 120 full days. You might not understand what it means but the basic explanation is that u can get a job that pays u 750euros every month...

NB: Do not have in mind that you can come to Germany and work as long as you can and also have a successful study, the country is so organised that you must choose between studying and hustling.

redcliff: The European community have their specific types of cars that they use. The american continent equally has theirs. It would be an almost impossible task to see a Toyota Highlander in Europe. Its mainly for the american market. What I am trying to say is that Cars made in Europe by European manufacturers are way cheaper than any other place in the world. Then again, this thread is not for you if you do not appreciate the German superiority of car manufacturing. Importation of these vehicles are equally cheaper depending on what part of Germany it is gotten from. Germany is a big country.Areas like Hamburg close to the sea port are quite cheap. About 550-700 Euros for a standard car i am not sure about SUVs. but I can find out. In Switzerland however, shipping is a bit expensive because they do not have a sea port and their cars are a bit more expensive than Germany because they use their cars better than their German counterparts. Shipping a standard car from Switzerland costs about 1200 swiss francs because it has to be put on a carrier truck and taken to Belgium for onward shipment to Africa. I am pretty sure you can check the history of these cars using their VIN numbers too and No, they are not right handed vehicles by default. Its cars from Poland, Uk I know about not Germany and Switzerland.

For all wishing to study in Europe but have little funding and the Embassy's in Nigeria can give you tough requirements, why not study for 6months in Azerbaijan and apply from there to Europe. The school fees are cheap and the country is good, above all u are allowed to work, visa is also not difficult
