amnestylaw: I read everyone´s comment and I must say, every one has some iota of truth in their opinion, In my case, I am Nigerian and travelled to Europe (Slovakia) because I am married to oyinbo woman. Of course I did not marry her because I wanted to travel out, I married her because I love her. Now, this is my fourth month I have been here. I have a permanent residence permit already and studying here through distance learning with the University of London International programme. I work with AT&T as UVN Implementation Manager just because I was able to speak good English during the interview and of course because I was smart with answers etc. I have only a Senior Secondary School Certificate and work among people with Ph.Ds, Masters and first degrees and IT professionals, I am paid well but after paying for accommodation and other expenses like feeding and transportation, I have few hundred Euros left. From my experience, there is racism everywhere in the world. Depending on what you do, where you are and how you react, For example, all blacks and non Slovaks are advised to not walk in the dark or go to corners at night because of Skinheads, I do not walk out after 11 at night here. I know my space and I have not fallen victim of racism than once in a bank. My wife dealt with the man who was making some kind of ''who the hell is this black smelly man?'' comments. She shouted at him in the bank and gave him a sharp comment in the Slovak language which the man used in addressing me, So, I will advise anyone coming to Europe to have a reason, legal reason for coming. I think they will find it kinda not easy at first but as soon as you got a job, a place to stay, you will save few euros to lodge in your bank account at home in Nigeria.

Guy dont ever think of coming to Qatar to study unless your sponsor is so rich that you will not need to work or carter for you self,is not cheap ,you hardly relate with citizens of country ,now tell me whats the benefit of studying abroad?foriegn passport=0,citzen=0,male and female relation=5/100(only inthe school ,you dont dare it outside the campus)work and study very very very hard!!!because of their working time (8 hours,most time 12 hours)socialization=8/100,infact go and study in europe please

Yes is true but is hard to get it now so some dubious agents are giving people 1month visiting or tourist visa and when such victims enter here theybecome stranded .In Qatar if your visit or tourist visa expires my brother you will start paying 400 naira or 8,0000 naira everyday until you go back home.Someone here can do it for you bought you must pay for it to be done.

i have lived in both Norway and Prague and I can only give you MY view of what i will consider best, just take it as that.
while living in these countries i had the pleasure of discovering extensively Sweden, Denmark, Poland and Slovakia.

now that you have told us a little more about what you are going to do(which is study), i would say that in your line of work Prague would be best place to go to. the Czech Republic used to be the biggest place for big budget Hollywood movies shot in Europe, thanks to the Barrandov studios in Prague(europe biggest film studio). movies like Bleep, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, James bond´s CASINO ROYALE, BLADE2, LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMAN, KNIGHT TALE, BOURNE IDENTITY, CHRONICLES OF NARNIA etc were all shot in Prague.

also there are countless commercialS shot in prague, i have done two that were specifically for the US market (MASTERCARD and SONY). so you could also take contacts with some of the casting agents who will in return put you in contact with some of the many production company in the city.

up til 2004, Prague was the cheapest/best that Europe had to offer but now that they have joined the EU, big spending Hollywood filmmakers are attracted to places like Romania etc which has become the cheapest location to shoot in Europe.

you will still have a language barrier to conquer but within a few months, i think that you could manage it.

Nawaahooo this site is turning to another thing,i think anyone coming here is for the purpose of learning.Before giving your point,you should have known where the person is staying,and for your information am not in Nigeria,but in the region where i stay and have resident permit,there is very tiny chance of football,all they do here is to work,okay my brothers imagine where a player do play only one tournament in year,sometimes after that you migtth not be paid .Okay so i think if anybody read and understand my post,you will know that i believe in starting somewhere,BY THE SPECIAL GRACE AND FAVOUR OF GOD!so i better play local macthes ,regional,semi pro and professional in EUROPE ,because you will be opened to bounty opportunities .At least before 2season ,i must have played a reasonable number of matches and beleive me ,i will be opportuned to meet some high profile agents,coaches,football teams,club directors and chairman,talented players ,funny ones and scouts.So let it be cleared to you that am already in abroad but want a higher step,honestly i speak from experience,here once you apply for visa to any country ,By the Grace of God you are getting it immediately,is unlike Nigeria,you can check my attachments.Thanks for your concern more is needed.AM THE TALL AND STRONG PLAYER IN NUMBER 5 JERSEY.

Brethren Nigeria is good and Abroad is good also,first have information of where you are going to and know if they do the things you have in mind.By the Grace of God am in Qatar,things s changing unlike before,i thank God for that,but am still sticked to my mind of what i want,to be a great footballer.My teammate told me of his friend that went to Germanywith 3months visiting visa last year and went to a local football team and requestedfor a trial ,what happened afterwards he was asked if he want play with them he said yes,they gave him a long time contract and help him change his papers immediately.When he was abotu to go a lot of discouragement bra bra bra bra but today he is earning more than a million naira,so please lets get some points before talking and let nobody used because he didnt make it to discourage other.Here in Qatar i know some that stayed for 14 months without a job few times he will do some dirty jobs to eat,some other guys went back to Nigeria but today this guy have a nice job paying more than 400,000 naira ,new car,nice and comfortabe accomodation he has just brought his wife and daughter.The point i want to make is that GODS TIME IS THE BEST!!!

workingirl: There aren't many Nigerians in Sweden but there is a small community. The bigger communities are like Eritreans and Somalians and people from that part of Africa. Things are as expensive as London, but everything runs smoothly and on schedule. Buses, trains, subway. People are comfortable and everyone is cared for. They queue for everything, they have this number system thats really cute. They are law abiding and you never hear anything in the news about robbery or attack or ANYTHING, well once in a blue moon, and it makes sensational news. They speak English very well, they also have Tv channels in English subtitled in Swedish. Its very very cold in the winter months and not very warm in the summer, but bearable. The night life is fun, there are many clubs and bars. What else?

@vicjustice,to go to europe to search for a football club and get a local football team ,atleast one should thank God for that. I will startthereif I see one,and within 2years i must have played about 50 matches with a lot of players ,different teams,a lot of exposure and contacts.Even the fifa agents will like TO have a deal with me because of the experience and by the Grace of God make to a top team,Amen!
