Jobs/VacanciesPlease, Don't Fall For This Job Scam!!! by Rapmoney(op): 8:16pm On Mar 09, 2016
The rate at which people are inventing different ways of scamming jobless Nigerian graduates in this country is alarming! It is even easier to scam recent graduates because most of them are still inexperienced and desperate to get job placements! Good jobs do not come easy, so whoever that have promised you a 'lucrative' job on a platter of gold is too good to be true!!!

The picture below shows a total job scam. The people who distribute this flyers are mostly jobless teenagers sent by these scam men! How can you provide someone a job when you are jobless? huh

Please, don't fall for scam jobs like this!!!

There was a time when men thought it was sexy to have a housewife waiting for him to come home from work in her slippers, but in modern society, I think an independent woman is even more sexy.

How wrong is it for a woman to expect the man to build the world she wants, rather than to create it herself?
Some have started reaping the repercussion of placing their hopes on the male folks! In these difficult times, girls who are not enterprising might just start sleeping with men in order to feed and clothe themselves wink

When I read the story of Susan Aghogho Asakpa, a female cab driver, I was moved! I know there are some exceptional ladies in our society who have vowed never to be deterred by the circumstances of life.

On a serious note, it so unfortunate and painful to know that many of our young Nigerian women do not make effort to be independent!!! Many feel that it is not in place for them to be independent but only fair for them to be dependent on a man. This idea is fast becoming outdated and no longer acceptable in a society with an unstable economy like ours! Even in developed societies where the economy is strong, this same idea holds no weight as those people have done away with it long time ago.

Most Young women in our society today are just so lazy to an extent where even the ones that attended private universities are still looking up to the male folks for sustenance. Those who are not so lucky to come from a financially-stable homes have delved into cheap prostitution!

I think Nigerian mothers should do more in teaching their daughters entreprenural skills early enough in life. If Susan Aghogho Asakpa wasn't enterprising, I really wonder where her life would have been now, knowing fully well how difficult it is to secure a reasonable job in Nigeria. What our mothers keep making our young women to understand indirectly is that the Nigerian society is a 'patriarchal' one! Patriarchal my foot!!! So what's the meaning of feminism? huh It is this mentality that has broken so many relationships and will still continue in that line as far as it is still promoted!

It is time our young Nigerian women wake up from their long slumber and become enterprising! Don't just sit your ass up there and wait for the male folks to come around and soften your life! Throwb your pride away; it is not necessary!!! Until you search your soul thoroughly and identify what you can do for yourself and your immediate environment, you will continue to live in self-deceit!

Susan Aghogho Asakpa has earned my respect. In my eyes, she will add more value to the life of any man than that beautiful lady that sits there with long artificial nails and costly Peruvian hair, waiting vainly for a man to come and uplift her. The truth is that, searching for a successful man that will improve your life and that of your family members is not a profession; neither is it an occupation or an endeavour in life! The problem is that most young ladies in our Nigerian society don't see anything useful in emulating successful women who have gone out of their way to achieve; they would rather copy the characters they see on Telemundo and other idealistic and 'Alice In Wonderland' movies!

Good afternoon everyone...

Views are welcomed cool
CareerRe: 8 Types Of People You’ll Find In Every Office by Rapmoney(m):
I am still trying to figure out whether the office you are talking about is in Nigeria or the western world huh I don't think the types of people you mentioned are commonly found in Nigerian offices! cool

Now, these are the type of people you will normally find in a typical Nigerian office:

1) The Juju users: This set of people are constant customers and visitors to the alfas, prophets and herbalists around town. They know all the Ogbejugbele shrines in town. They believe they can use charms to get promotion or punish their perceived enemies in the office! If you try dem ehn, dem fit dash u 9 months pregnancy, even if you are a male!!! grin

2) Gossip folks: This set of people do nothing but talk negatively about others. They know the in and out of everyone. They can tell you why Bisi was promoted...she was promoted because she is the boss's "daughter".

3) The 'Alert folks': This set of people do not bother themselves about contributing to the firm's progress! All they do is wait for alert to come at the end of the month. When they wait for the first 3-4 days without getting any alert, their contenance changes immediately and their face becomes squeezed and rough like potash (Akanwun). If dem see the office accountant, dem go bone like bone thugs and harmony! grin E go be like say na the poor accountant make dem never receive alert.

4) The office politicians: This set of people have already ascribed various political names to themselves. Some see themselves as Obasanjo, while others see themselves Tinubu! They so much believe in the 'pull-him-down-syndrome'. If you don't belong to their political caucus, they don't wait to pull you down! Some have worked in that organisation for 25 years without any meaningful thing to show for it.

grin grin

It is now becoming a norm in our society to see numerous churches, especially, those in the pentecostal group, organising what they call 'special prayers' for the unmarried women. It is so pathetic that this has become a daily routine in most churches, as you will see young and middle-aged women who are unmarried trooping in and in droves too, to various miracle centres in our cities!!! This special prayer sessions normally last hours!

It seems these modern posh shiny-suit -wearing punk-haired pastors are not telling these ladies the truth. The bottomline for this so-called special prayers is just to maintain relevance for these pastors! They are fully aware that there's a growing number of single women in our society and they are capitalizing on that to create a soft life for themselves.

The truth is that, many Nigerians are religiously over zealous. They ascribe everything to the evil manipulations of perceived spirutual enemies. Except these pastors are praying that the ladies get married to the children of specific wealthy Nigerians like the Otedolas and Dangotes, I don't see anything reasonable in organising meaningless special prayers for our young ladies to get married! We should be more realistic than being idealistic in these modern times. It is a thing of joy for young women to marry but we shouldn't make it an avenue to distract people's attention from the real cause of this 'lack-of-husbands-phenomenon'. When pastors 'pray' for these women to get married, who are those they will get married to? huh The young men in the society of course! Now, most of this set of people are either jobless or underemployed! Would it not be better if these young men in your congregations are empowered through trainings and job placements so that they can marry among the ladies they have been desiring? I think this growing number of spinsters is more of an economic issue than religion! I don't think there's an old woman sitting somewhere in one village that has made Vanessa or Ejiro not to have married. Even if there was an old woman, what's the percentage that this is the cause among our unmarried ladies?

I believe the people in the Scandinavian countries like Sweden and Norway didn't pray as much as we do before their young men were able to comfortably take a wife at the age of 23!!! The average young man in most western countries have access to a reasonable economic life! In my country, our pastors see this phenomenon as a means of flagrantly extorting people and brain-washing them. On the other hand, the unnecessary high expectations of most of our young unmarried women have blinded them absolutely from finding out the truth! Most of them see their would-be husbands in the image of their posh-looking pastors. Until you look inward...search your heart...find out how you can be of economic value to yourself and your would-be husband, you will continue to live in deceit.

I am concerned, Oga Pastor...our marriageable unmarried ladies could still be my sisters, cousins, nieces, church members, neighbours and friends!

Happy Sunday!

fiizznation:
The hypocritical twist that this entire saga took is my main problem with the whole issue. Everybody wants us to believe that the said girl(ese) is the innocent one here and yunusa is the villian.

Why are people not talking about ese's parents and the type of training they gave their daughter? Is it today that young girls started running away with their supposed man friends? There was even this issue of one certain Facebook girl that went viral in Nigeria, and at the end of everything, the girl lost her precious life and we didn't see or hear people insulting Christians/christianity or even the tribe of the culprits.

And Why are people covering the real age of the supposed "culprit" (yunusa)? Why are we not told the other side of the story? Yunusa might even be the innocent one if it happens that the ese of a girl lead him on, telling him to take her to his home state(people shouldn't dismiss the possibility that ese thought yunusa has some blood relationship with the emir and so she decided to run to kano with him)

For one to have a free-sentimental view of this entire story, then we need to know the real story and not some one sided, distorted, baseless and unimaginative story of a young Muslim boy from the north kidnapping a "holy young Christian" from the south.

This will always be my stand as long as we are not told the true story. Tell us the story of yunusa
Your reasoning is very faulty, illogical and fallacious! In fact, there's no need discussing it; it is not worthy to be discussed!!!

I don't know if I am the only one that has noticed this uncivilized attitude by members of some particular communities in Delta State! I would like to know if this trash happens in other places too.

Your marriage day is a day of blessings and a step ahead for you but don't use it to cause hardship for other members of the society, please!!!

Do we even have laws? huh How can you set up canopies along major roads connecting different local government areas? And there's a local government council that should punish such people but the officials do nothing other than scrambling for council allocations!

There are many affordable event centres that people can use when celebrating whatever they are celebrating. Even if you don't have the money to rent a venue, you can use a public place like the field of one of the numerous government schools! You must not block major roads to tell everyone that you are getting married! I mean, it is barbaric!!! I don't know if Uvwie LGA is the only place this crap is trending or if it is same in some other places huh In this period fuel scarcity, making your fellow man to drive 5 kilometres for a journey he could have used 3 or 2 kilometres is not funny at all!!!
