E-hailing. But as for foodstuffs, that is your best bet. People who sell food don't feel inflation. Any business you wish to enter must be food related. U can consider small bakery too.

I respected you enough as a matured family man who understands life enough, based on your experience, the more reason why I have been more confident on you about my personal issues. Oga pearl demanded I should ask u to raise me the 150k but upon reaching you sincerely, you blocked me. Well, I don't know why u did that, because you are one person in this forum that I respect beyond limits, because uv anyways sent me feeding money most often, anyways thanks best reasons are up to you for your actions. I had been able to get 100k tho, this is a prove that God still works wounders out of our disappointing situations. if u are reading this and having financial issues Don't give up. Cheer's.

In all honesty and humility, this response is out of place. Someone expressed his regrets for not being able to assist you, and all you could do is to taunt him? He even said, "God knows best". Just allow peace to reign.

The truth is that there are many people here also following the thread as you do though most do so silently. If there are 100 Uber drivers who are on nairaland not up to 30% of them comment on this thread although they feast their eyes on it steadily wink

Another truth is that out of the 30% that comment half of them start questioning their own abilities anytime cheerful starts being active on this thread just because he shows the world that doing what they do can be done in a better and more profitable way and I don’t blame them for feeling that way about themselves. . . but I draw the line when they rear their ugly heads up while trying fruitlessly to punch phantom holes in his hustle just to feel good about their unproductive selves.

The other 70% are just learning as much as they can from the posts and motivation and that’s to be commended. I don’t expect any of them to behave like corto above and start foaming from their mouths just because they can’t handle their bruised ego and failures in silence.

Out of all the drivers that joined cheerful’s telegram training group a couple of months ago how many do we see posting upandan here? They don’t because they have become more focused on achieving their set targets as should be. We saw some testimonies that time and I attest to the fact that truly cheerful has schemes and programs he utilizes to achieve his dashboard balances.

It’s not witchcraft or photoshop as many lazy and envious folks want to believe but hey . . . Who am I to force the thirsty horse to drink when it’s already swimming in the river cool

Well said boss. It is the Nigerian pull him down syndrome. In advanced countries, when people break new grounds they are admired and studied.

You can only get Nigerian used at this price. The danger there is you don't know how long it's been used and the maintenance culture of the previous driver. Considering that it will take you 2 years and 6 months to complete the agreement.

Can the car rigorously last that long?

Actually that was the reason i backed away from one 2010 that was badly used for ,2.6 total package. The car didn't have AC and many repairs to be done including front bumper, head lamps.

For my elaboration to be thorough, I'll like to know what car you're looking for on hp, how much is the current price of the car, how much you think is a fair price you'll be asked to pay monthly for the car.

Toyota Corolla or Camry 2005-07....

Price of total package should be 3 million max

I can pay 100k monthly

Nice how you intentionally strayed from the crux of the conversation. Which is that people need to get high paying skills and leave useless salary work. Emphasis on "useless". Not all salary work is useless. IT is a skill, driving is a skill. Etc skills. Get a high paying skill that beats Nigeria's inflation.

Nigeria is dying. Currency is going to shit. There are only 35million full-time employed people in Nigeria. You think there are no more than 35 million qualified for those positions? What happens to the rest of them?

Now you used your brother as example. How many other such examples can you make? I'm not saying they don't exist, but how many? IT is an emerging force a lot of people are getting certified in IT and earning mega bucks. I know people who earn 2 million monthly here in Nigeria. People who also get incremental salaries. The statistical data is not enough for me to deem all well and good.

Between the last time we spoke, there are millions of Lagosians earning less than 100k and I've been a strong advocate for them to resign such nonsense jobs and get a skill and start earning. There are millions of graduates making dresses, baking cakes, driving uber, riding delivery bikes, etc. Many of them go on to create their own mega companies from the experience they got. Experience that may never be gotten doing jobs with meagre salaries.

The last time we spoke, dollar was 500. That's $200 USD to a 100k salary earner. Today it's $138. It'll only get worse. If it's so good as you claim, why are graduates still driving? I know one particular graduate here who is a diehard believer in office work, but baba still dey drive uber going 5 years now, why isn't he doing his small salary work? Because he knows his japa plans cannot be fulfilled by nonsense money.

Between the last time we spoke and now you needed about 7,000,000 to comfortably japa from this country. How much do you need now with the fall of the naira?

The resident clown on this thread can testify. Was it a salary job that helped him to japa?

Your last born was able to be patient in that job because he had people feeding him and encouraging him. How many people in Nigeria has that luxury? I lot of people were born with a financial disadvantage. You think it's everyone that has the luxury of patience when they have no one to fall on and they have dependants? Many times you see on front page people asking how to survive with their current 30,000, 36,000, 50,000 naira salaries. Do you also advice them to hold on for a better job because your last born got a better job probably thru connection?

Yo! We know what's up in Nigeria when it comes to job placements. How many people have the luxury of going thru all that?

Good. People who now what they are doing and have the cash... Hold on right there.

Almost everyone knows what they are doing but no cash. How do they raise cash? Remaining in the jobs? Yo! Ehailing is a means to such end for many people. A lot have used it to raise money and achieved their dreams. Why shouldn't others be encouraged to do the same? You think I want to drive forever?

The problem isn't getting a UK job. The problem is funding. Where do you get funding? If Nigerian jobs were that fantastic, why are people looking for UK jobs in the first place? How many people have access to funding? Why should they sit on their assets when they can make good use of available opportunities it this present Nigerian realism?

There is nothing wrong with another experience. If uber experience is bad, they wouldn't have uber drivers in UK. You think uber drivers glower doesn't count for nothing to people who leave Nigeria to get driving jobs? You think Nigerians leave Nigeria for salary only salary work abroad? Experience is Experience. Were you expecting a nurse to apply to a bank? Survival is key. When time comes for uber experience, it will be used. Do you know I have a background in IT? You think I'm stupid for driving?

What is the statistics of current auditors in Nigeria compared to the statistics of graduated jobless auditors and what is the statistics of job placement adverts for auditors in Nigeria? That someone was fortunate doesn't mean everyone is fortunate. Should the remaining jobless ones fold their hands and applaud? Can they really hang on without someone feeding them?

The sky is the limit to any serious uber driver with high earnings. Cash flow. What millions of graduates and salary earners lack. Once you have sure savings of 3million naira a year, the sky is the limit. What you do with such money is now up to you. Between sure 3m and unsure salary work, which one do you think I'll always advocate for? Hope is good, but at a point in time, you take your life into your hands. Nigeria is not fantastic.

If you've read all these and you're still in a stupid job of 100k or less, its time to jump ship else you'll sink with inflation. Me I no kuku get problem.

You are a realist
