It does not matter if your spouse is in canada or still in nigeria. Boost your account, spouse to pay full tuition
give an explanation why you are just considering travelling together. Indians dont wait, they do immediately and most are successful. Do not use same account as spouse and if you are doing that , increase significantly the amount.
Points to note:
Short SOP outlining reason why u change ur mind
Arrange docs in a systematic way
Proof of good home ties

All you need to do is to fill up the employmentsection
and explain that in an SOP. IRCC knows you cannot upload without filling out the mandatory sections.
For the other form that IRCC says you cannot save, I think that form is about family members and giving conscent to one lead family member, it will always be blank when you save and reopen. Just upload it after filling it. They will see it.

[Since you applied before. Then you should av a UCI. Scroll under the msg sent to you in your first application which is in ur IRCC portal, you should see it there. Best of luck

If same POF used by ur spouse is what you are presenting, the system will pick it up as it was built to identify similarities in SOWP. How much did your spouse showed? He/She is yet to pay school fees and e.t.c. In their calculation, they will take that away from what you are showing to them cos it is same bank account and see if the rest is enough for you. There are a lot to all this thing. It would have been easy if she has paid for her school fees and in canada already. Am gonna leave it at that. Best of luck

You cannot beat it. Before you can apply for sowp with pgwp, you must be in Teer 1- 3 which is difficultt to get such job as a new graduate. There is a policy or a pilot that qualifies people presently enacted by Fraser allowing low skilled workers to bring their family. Unfortunately, this is a 2 year program which may end by January next year. Am not sure they will renew it cos they want to shut the door. The govt sees pgwp holders and students as same. So go now to submit your SOWP applicationto be on safe side. Best of luck

There is a way to beat the Spousal Open Work Permit by college student when it goes into effect by September 1st 2024.

If you have intent of bringing your spouse and family just ensure you finish your program and get a PGWP that is able to take care of your family and then you can bring them.

However, if you re hell bbentonite bringing your spouse as a college student after the new law, then you can use spouse visit visa However your kids will be qualified for study visa. It's just the work authorization they are regulating.
The problem here is we are all bringing our spouse and family even as students. We can't blame them because housing crisis in Canada is on the rise.

All this na because 9ja get problem. South Africans don't travel. Infact more than 90% of them are contended in staying in their home country. It is what it is.

Attestation that the old policy still works as I have been saying. This policy might still linger for the next 2 months. Guys apply for ur SOWP now. For u guys with visa and yet to come pls do not use same bank Statement submitted by your spouse. If you want to fo that, increase the fund in double fold and you can explain lump sum. Better to do ur best than not doing anything.

[Do not try to come now. There is no clarity on those who will be affected yet. I will advice you come in 2 months to when you are starting school. Pls come with all documents especially POF as those border officer will be strict now. You can apply for your spouse right away. You dont have to wait. Do not use same account you submitted for ur application. Hope this will help.

[You can sure apply for sowp now but the issue of deferral might create a big issue for you. Apply for the sowp now. Write a good sop to show why u think it will be good for you and your spouse to leave same time. But do not defer as you will only be given 3 months extra on your study permit after the completion of your studies This may pose a risk iin the future when you apply for pgwp. If you are pregnant before you go, you can make things messy for them if you understand what I meant before they change things again!!! You can apply for your spouse right away and leave in March.Keep pregnancy issue away from them until u get here.

[Some people had same issue in the past, but cannot remember how it was solved. Wth IRCC, you just keep your fingers cross while I will advice you send them a lthem a mail. They will suely respond and send in your biometric information details. The attestation letter only applies from jan 22nd and you applied jan 20th, u cross that hurdle. They will get back to you.Best wishes

[Pick all other type as long as they are minor. Ages from JSS1 should go for study visa to avoid refusal. Spouse study permit duration should still be 6 months minimum. Indians dont even wait to get to canada before they do. So absolutely YES. Eligibility will change in many weeks. Eligibility still remain now. As much as no one can guarantee the outcome, but it is better to give it a shot before they pulled down the curtain finally

Guys, no time to ask questions. Apply now. Eligibility is still on. The info says " in coming weeks" It is better to try than not doing anything. If you cannot find a way to apply on IRCC portal, then know for sure it is over. So go ahead quickly with a good application. Do not forget some has on- going application and IRCC will still have to decide on it on a matter of fairness of procedure. Best wishes

Am afraid, that is a long time. She can renew her study permit anytime as long as she has all documents for the renewal. She does not need to wait till the last minute before re-applying. When she re-applies , she should add you up if you are in canada, if not you can right away apply now but the minimum duration on your spouse visa should be six months to apply. Ur spouse should apply immediately and ias soon as her study permit is approved, you can add it to your application. Apply with what she is having now and pray they dont make a decision before she gets the new approval and you can send it to IRC . The only way the announcement could affect you is if IRCC choose to withdraw your application. It is not in IRCC record to do such. They will always give timeline. Since you av submitted, expect a decision from them. As of now, no official date has been given to when some applicant will be ineligible.

The best you can do is to apply right away. IRCC Ssays in the coming weeks....That could be in 2-3 months who knows! It has not yet been officially banned until it is announce. Best wishes

SOWP is getting delayed even more than 3 months now. I know of a 2 month submission where eligibility has not yet commenced. Perhaps they are working on it only God knows.

Since your passport is still valid, it has nothing to do with IRCC delay.

If you av a good job in UK, pls, stay there cos no immediate employment in canada. When did your spouse came to Canada? I think one of the issue is because you are applying from the UK as a immigrant and the clause mentioned in ur spouse application that you and ur son will return to Nigeria. If the answer to that question is answered as simply No in the application form without elaboration, am sure the visa officer will not raise an eyebrow cos both of you can change your mind at anytime to be together. The officer may be considering ur ties as employment which form the bases of your been in UK and now, you want to leave the job. I will suggest as am not privy to the category of visa you applied for that in this case, visitor visa will be the best option while you can flagpole here in canada. You need to give a little time for your spouse to settle down before applying. You can answer him back with reasons that both of you changes your mind and your plans to still travel back to Nigeria with your son has not change even from canada.

You can submit more docs after first submission, just not by email. You can submit it through your account as stated in the article, no email.

You can only submit that if only IRCC asked you to do. There is no where on gckey you ca do that. This is an important information that I think we should take very serious to avoid refusal. Your full package and submission is now once and for all. It is unfortunate!

Thanks bud but won't spouse application be considered a new application since the sponsorer is in canada already not as if all of them is applying together.Sorry to ask, do we get application approved by nairobi on this amount? I have seen so many people asking about police clearance certificate. It is not a must to include in your study permit application. You might need it later if you are transiting from TR to PR.
If you are keen providing info about your good moral standing, you may get a letter from your church pastor detailing whom you are and the department you belongs to in the church. God bless

What are the chances the kids study permit will be granted after approved parent study permit application . I ticked NO when asked if a family member will be accompanying me. Thankyou
