This is breaking news: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-224921.0.html#msg3392602 Carshopper, the depths you will descend in order to sell a vehicle is distasteful. Your antics have been revealed and your twisted ways are out in the open, you should be ashamed of yourself!!! |
The original file is too large to attach.Does this mean the file I sent you is different from the one above? It's the exact same thing showing time and date the report was obtained and the no odometer readings found comment is as above. There's no need to upload the file, all you have to do is copy and paste it like I did from my Word file. Besides, the run date is 2008 and not a live report like the Carfax, that is the issue.CarProof is as live as it gets, as confirmed by the time and date stamped on the report above - it reports to the minute unlike Carfax and costs CAD35 for each report, not unlimited reports for USD like CARFAX. Please check your facts before posting, how many untruths have we uncovered already? l Why is he disparaging me?If you are referring to carshopper, I have no idea. You'll have to ask him. All I see is that he set up this grand scheme to draw your attention away from my Camry. I said you offered me 2.9m. I never said that was what your wife said,I state again - that's a direct quote. I brought up the quote to buttress the fact that both you and Carshopper were offered the same last price. By the way you offered Carshopper 2.7 while you offered me 2.9, please check your thread again,What you may not realise is that this car was first listed before it was even shipped and before the exchg rate took a drastic turn. At some point, it was even listed for N2.7m- that is what my statement to carshopper relates to, I never offered to deal with him for N2.7m and it would be the height of mischief for anyone to interprete my statement to mean that. It's easy to see you took that quote out of context. That was my response to carshopper saying I formerly listed for N2.8m. Might be a good idea to compare the exchg rate on Nov 23/2008 to what it is today. I doubt you'll admit it but the listed price at the time you contacted me was N2.9m which I raised to N3m (to provide for the Nigerian factor - people want to haggle no matter what) after you first sent me an email and before I even knew your username on Nairaland. As for attacking you on your own thread rasmur5:My comments were very clearly addressed to Carshopper, not you or maybe I'm dealing with the same individual? I don't play games, the whole setup with carshopper to impugn my integrity is not acceptable. I'm not trying to sell at all costs because car-selling is not my source of livelihood and I will not let faceless individuals make baseless insinuations against my person or inventory. As I stated before; this has now become very messy and I have no wish to do business with you. I'm sure Carshopper can find you something to suit your personality. I am also certain that I will sell my vehicle to the right buyer despite all the mischief and bad belle. What goes around comes around. Good luck. |
Carshopper, I am shocked at your lie, desperation truly is a terrible thing. Well, truth always triumphs. ahonahai, This is the same figure my wife gave you and you said N20k was "inconsequential." I have no wish to do business with you. |
I see this is getting really messy, I will now proceed to post my email to Carshopper. @ ahonhai Don't forget my observations, It's a great car at a good price but there was a mileage disparity between what was reported on the Carfax and the actual mileage. You stated that Car was used in Canada which I have no objections to but I asked you to account for the extra 20,000 miles or so between when it was reported on Carfax and when it was shipped. This you were unable to do.Not sure what you mean by disparity as the word would suggest something's wrong here. This is the Carfax: 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY/LE/XLE/SE vin deleted, car sold SEDAN 4 DR 2.4L L4 FI DOHC 16V FRONT WHEEL DRIVE No accident/damage reported to CARFAX CARFAX - 1 Owner vehicle 22991 miles Last reported odometer reading on 10/15/2007 A CARFAX Vehicle History Report is based only on information supplied to CARFAX. CARFAX checked over 5 billion vehicle history events and found 3 record(s) for this 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY/LE/XLE/SE (4T1BE46K37U022860). Purchased: 2006 Type: Commercial Where: Ontario Est. miles/year: --- Est. length owned: 9/25/06 - present (2 yrs. 2 mo.) CARFAX 1-Owner vehicle! These vehicles are often worth a higher price because they tend to be consistently driven and maintained. Date: Mileage: Source: Comments: 09/25/2006 Ontario Ministry of Transportation Registration issued or renewed First owner reported Passed safety inspection Vehicle color noted as Blue 10/15/2007 22,991 Ontario Ministry of Transportation Odometer reading reported Odometer reported as 37,001 kilometers 11/01/2007 Ontario Ministry of Transportation Kitchener/Waterloo, ON Registration issued or renewed Registered as commercial vehicle Perform an Ontario lien search The 22,991 is miles which is the equiv of the 37000km. The Carproof report doesn't show the mileage, but the car now has 81000km on it. If I said it now has 25000km that would be called a disparity. I bought the car from a dealership on the same date shown on the Carproof report, in Nov/08. I didn't ask about the gap because as my wife told you - the dealership is a reputable one and I'm not a fraudster myself so why get worried because 1 yr is unaccounted for? This is not the only car that has reporting that stopped a year ago, I have 2 other vehicles for sale and both have up to date reporting. From the CarProof report I sent you, you can see the reporting is "live" and if anything derogatory had happened it would be reported on there. I asked you to account for the extra 20,000 miles or so between when it was reported on Carfax and when it was shipped. This you were unable to do.How can I account for the gap when I hadn't purchased the car during that period? If you didn't know before - vehicle reports are based on information provided to the reporting agencies. It's not the job of a seller to make up a story. I already crossed you off as serious buyer when you again asked my wife today for pics of the car in Lagos because you can't go to Ikeja for a physical inspection. That's the best I can do, the car is there for anyone to confirm if it's been used in Nigeria and the clearing documents confirm it's a new arrival. I really don't see the controversy and like my wife told you, if you're not comfortable with the car, no problem. I thought it unwise to point out to her that you were also talking with someone else about the car.My wife knows everything that's going on with the cars, infact she has more time than I do because I'm a busy professional. As my wife informed you, "there are several parties interested in the car including those off Nairaland and whoever comes up with the money first gets the car" so am unable to understand your surprise? If you haven't put money down on something, you can't expect the seller to stop talking with potential customers. I'm glad you and Carshopper can share notes and know that I offered you both the same last price. |
Carshopper:I'm guessing this is the reason for your mischief on my thread? desperation must feel terrible. |
Does "negotiable" mean I have to sell at the price you're offering? S'far as I know, if I give you a final price that is substantially less than the listed price - that counts for negotiable. If the price is not mutually satisfactory, everybody moves on, no reason for the descent into mischief. @ Topic This car is still available for serious inquires. |
Available @ Carshopper - I even went as low as N2.7m at a point. What's with the childish behavior? You going to throw a tantrum here? Are you trying to tell me the price wasn't listed at N3m before you contacted me? Please take your drama elsewhere!!! |

Without any intention of stirring the pot, I know for a fact that is not igwe's real name and I doubt the account of his background posted above is real. I suppose Cosjo is just making fun, I will only counsel that we leave people's family (ies) out of anything that happens here. Let's limit our words to the people we are addressing without reference to family members; that is very disrespectful. I mean no offence to anyone. |
I'm sorry your friend was so hurtful. In answer to your last paragraph: Who defines who and what you are? Ancestry? Parentage? Where you were born or what you believe to be true for you? And are you African if you were not born in Africa?I define who I am, always have and always will. I was born and bred in Nigeria and though I have dual citizenship still consider myself a Nigerian first and foremost. My kids were not born in Africa but are immersed in the culture and have been brought up to see themselves as African first because that is their heritage, that is their ancestry and I think it's important that kids know what their lineage is. For people from the Carribeans, of course it's difficult to trace your lineage and sadly in most cases nothing can be done about that but you should be proud of whatever part of your ancestry you know. We don't choose how we are born or which culture or race so don't let anyone make you feel in anyway inferior. They are certainly no more special than you are because they could easily have been in your own shoes too. Hold your head up and be proud of YOU everyday of your life. |
Wow Does anyone know what happened? |
I would advice you secure the visa first, then seriously consider if you'll be able to afford to have the child in Sweden. Don't know much about their health care system but I suspect like most developed nations there's some sort of assistance in the form of grants and subsidies that the lower income groups enjoy. If that's the case, the actual delivery should not be a big deal. You may also be able to get a visitor's visa for your mom or partner's mom to help closer to delivery and after birth. For the social assistance, ensure you live like a student even if you have a lot of money - live in subsidized student accommodation and all that. One mistake you don't want to make is assume you can go back to the embassy for a student visa for you and the baby if you have the baby in Nigeria. There's no guarantee they will give you+baby or you alone the visa once the child is born thus my advice to secure the visa first and then consider your options. Best wishes. |
