mr_man: According to the governor from the North-west zone, “Immediately Chief Anenih made that comment, we commenced consultations, but the more we speak among ourselves, the more we are thrown into confusion over what to do.” He said further: “Most PDP governors who are not on the side of the president still hold the strong view that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not an option.” APC is the proposed coalition of major opposition parties in the country comprising the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and a faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He added: “By the time we leave PDP to join APC, the party structures would have been formed; already the sharing formula would have been agreed on, and any party you join and you don’t have your people in the party structure, then you are not a senior member.” The governor said his colleagues who might want to leave the party were sceptical of the national leader of the ACN, Senator Bola Asiwaju, his antics and domineering style, especially what he described as “Tinubu’s use and dump” tactics. Citing the example of the former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar, and Nuhu Ribadu, whom the former Lagos State governor dumped at the last minute in 2011 to support Jonathan, he said these actions were consistent and were of major concern for the PDP governors.

The governor said that the PDP governors in question are also worried of the autocratic nature of the leader of the CPC, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, his military background and hardline posture

Bunch of self-serving,ungrateful,treacherous,disloyal politicians

Way to go.
All the Judases must be dealt with, and dealt with promptly, you cannot be for us and be against us at the same time, any of them that wants to decamp to ACN or CPC is very free to do so,but you cannot continue enjoying the protection of the umbrella and yet keep poking holes in the umbrella that is protecting you

Hmm tell me why Seun will not great(men like us spot these traits).
Your capacity for seeking to make amends whenever you notice you've made a blunder is one of the hallmarks of good leaders.
This was the same thing you did in 2008 during the stock section/new nigerians saga

BTW,my thoughts on the remaining "RULES" are that they mostly and essentially constitute a baggage of encumberance to free, open and robust interaction on this forum.Yes there's need for rules and enforecement of same, but the truck load you guys reeled out could be drastically edited to do away with the unecessary ones that will definitely gag/shackle and kill nairalanders with boredom, except of course you want to insert an "unsubsribe" or "opt out" option for those that may be too pissed with the "RULES" to remain in the ship

I'm only counting down to when katakata will burst in their ACNCPC or whatever name they will choose(as they WILL NEVER get APC)

PoliticsI ‘ll Contest Presidential Election Again In 2015 — Buhari by rasputinn(op): 5:48am On May 02, 2013
Former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, said he “will surely seek the mandate” of Nigerians in the 2015 presidential election under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Buhari who lost the 2011election on the platform of Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, however said he was ready to step down for any other better candidate that may emerge under the new party.

He spoke in Minna, capital of Niger State during the maiden edition of Sam Nda-Isaiah Annual Lecture Series, saying that politics should not be seen as a do-or-die affair.

Buhari, however advocated that the best candidate should always be given a chance in the midst of many.

He said: “Whoever said he wants to contest has a chance. Let him come out because the more we are, the merrier. But I will be ready to step down if there is a formidable and better candidate.

FamilyRe: About Married Women And Male Friends by rasputinn(m): 10:48am On Mar 29, 2013
You guys should be real for once. Two people are involved in a marriage and they should both take the blame if it fails - it is not always the man's fault.

I will first of all address the issue at hand. That women is cheating - simple. Any relationship you have with the opposite gender that you know your spouse would not approve of is cheating. You dont have to sleep together to start cheating. She is emotionally cheating on her husband.

And it is sooo easy for such a women to use her husband as an excuse. Cheating is cheating. By the time she is finished flirting with another man, she would find faults in everything her husband does so he will be the scapegoat.

Bottomline, men cheat and women cheat. And cheating is a choice. No one forces you to cheat and there is never a good reason to cheat. Just last week, my wife just booked a family holiday for easter saying we hadnt gone away for a while. I agreed and I refunded her the money because I realise we hadnt gone away at all this year and needed time to spend together. That is what a sensible woman should do and not resort to talking to other men!

No one is perfect, if your husband isnt doing enough of romantic stuff, why cant you bring it up? Anything wrong in a woman planning a family trip or even dinner? Cheating is a choice, never blame your spouse for it!
Well done Nashville
You should run for the governorship seat of Tennessee .
Excellent submission

b) half a dozen

PoliticsRe: I Cannot Work With Tinubu, ACN A Party Of Rebels – Falae by rasputinn(m): 10:36am On Mar 27, 2013
[quote]Chieftain of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Olu Falae, spoke at the weekend of how he can never again work with National Leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Bola Tinubu, because he (Tinubu) and some others “rebelled” against leaders of the group during the Alliance for Democracy (AD) days.

They broke away from Afenifere and became rebels.

“They teamed up with another rebel group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to form the ACN.

Tinubu, then as Governor of Lagos State, was a member of the AD.

But Falae claimed that Tinubu never won the AD primaries in 1999, and that God shocked shocked used him (Falae) to get Tinubu nominated as the governorship candidate to run on the platform of AD.

According to him, “Late Funsho Williams who won the primary election of the AD backed down after my intervention,,,he allowed Tinubu to become AD governorship nominee to save our leader, Pa Abraham Adesanya, the late leader of Afenifere, who announced him as the winner.
Ironically, Tinubu turned round to destroy Afenifere.

“It was Williams who won the AD primaries,,, ; Pa Adesanya settled for Tinubu as the winner of the governorship primaries

“Tinubu suffered in consequence and was in exile abroad while I was detained with others for two years in Nigeria. Pa Adesanya insisted that one of us who suffered should be governor so that he could rehabilitate others shocked shocked shocked.

quote]

cry cry cry
And so many gullible ones were deceived and led astray, believing that Adesanya and his AD clique that peoduced Tinubu were actually democrats and honest politicians

In case you missed it before,well oops there it is;

When will you guys learn that, pounding away on your keyboards does not have any political value.I was so amused by the naive political submissions of the large crowd of politically-uninformed and even apolitical(as a lot of them either had no voters card or have never ever gone out to cast their vote, some even consider themselves too big to go out and queue up in the sun to cast their votes or most of them reside outside Nigeria and cannot vote)nairalanders who never seemed to realise that making so much noise online HAS NEVER,and WILL NEVER amount to a single vote

It's a shame that the opposition has chosen to play to the gallery(by making noise on the pages of newspapers,on the internet) to get public applause and leave the very basic and serious work of politicking to the PDP to do,little wonder they even forgot to go and register a name they intended to use for their merger, now THEY HAVE LOST THAT NAME FOREVER.

I've said we will dig more political trenches and fight from there,as we know what's at stake.I'm happy with the NWC and the NEC of the PDP as each school of opinion/thought within the party has made its points/grievances known and there are serious moves to assuage frayed nerves and to sort things out amicably,an exercise that will hardly be shouted about in public.

Congratulations to the FCT chapter of the PDP for a job very well done

They 'll only break nigerians heart the more if they happen to enter presidential sit which i know they never get there. I just hate them for their noise,is this same noise they took to Ondo state where they fall like over rip pawpaw. though i am not in support of PDP either. @ OP
See your mouth like war.You wish. Some members of the family were derailing and were on the verge of betraying the family that gave them life, projected them to whatever stage they are right now, made them who they are politically,so as a responsible family, steps were taken to whip them back in line before they do further damage to themselves,of course, they were jolted back to the realisation that they would be nobody without the family. What they are doing now is the expected "sulking in their rooms",they'll be fine, some of their egbons are already explaining the reality of political life to them.
