Okay, for starters, here are some sources of campaign funds, then suggest ways you think we can do anything about it 1.NPA(The Nigeria Ports Authority),the second highest revenue earner for the FG after oil, is the cash cow of the ruling party.Any person appointed to chair the board of the NPA,has an unwritten mandate to loot it's treasury and ensure the govenment of the day has enough funds to,among other headings, oil its campaign machinery. The nation and it's citizens are then left the worse for it 2.Corrupt businessmen who are given OPL licences in place of OML licences, they neither pay royalties nor tax to the FG,rather they engage in all manner of self-assessment just to fulfill all righteuosness, the bizmen usually sell of these licences to Asian bizmen, who front as tech partners.Again as in 1 above, they have an unwritten mandate to boost the campaign war chest of the government of the day.Again, the nation and it's citizens are then left the worse for it 3.Official arm-twisting/blackmail;the FG has long perfected ways of forcing government officials at the state and local government levels to contribute to their campaign purse.Note that the said officials at the lower rung of governmental ladder don't complain about this at all,as they too have learned from their master and have ways of inflating the actual amount they corruptly contibuted after helping themselves to the difference.Even ministries and parastatls are not exempt from this scam The tax payers are left the worse for it The list goes on and on,so how can we put a stop to say the ones above |
No peace for the wicked, nice one guys congratulations.I'll join you in this campaign to redeem our image both internationally and locally |
Ibime:Me too |
The health minister,Prof Osotimehin is trying to be a politician by trying to massage the increasingly bloated ego of that spoilt brat called Turai Yar Adull, she was the one that pushed Umaru Yara dulls hand to make Osotimehin minister, now the both of them have made complete fools of themselves and whoever was privy to this unfortunate decision |
While there, Turai will rub minds with the finest nuclear scientists on modern methods of firewood gathering and managing a charcoal fire. She will awe the bright minds with experiences of working ceaselessly to invent the next generation nuclear system; she has done all this by candlelight only; because something went wrong at PHCN, maybe they didn't have kerosene.

Oh dear |
Did they have to include eagle in the name, worse still they added Nigerian. Last time I checked, the brand; Nigeria was not doing well internationally image-wise, hence she checked into Dora Akunyili |

FBS:It's a derby, and citeh have had their fair share of upper hand over the red scum twats in the past, but for this one I just wish the two annoying clubs cancel out each other, but I'm afraid the red breed of the scums will defeat the blue breed |

No doubt,we are the world record holders at making ourselves into the laughing stock of the international community |
@ Seun Don't ban anybody for their views so far on this thread, you know what I mean ![]() |
Hey guys,no need for tempers to flare,I think the friend may probably have talked to an intern in the bank, who obviously knows next-to-nothing about the requirements, but for stupid pride did not want to be seen as not knowing, therefore he/she gave a wrong figure,or the friend may have misrepresented the facts, however they require $200 to open a dollar denominated dom account @ GTB,and $2000 @ standard chartered |
However, the mastermind of the plot, the alleged fraudster should be castrated for taking advantage of the hapless students, who obviously have been disillusioned by months of idling and wasting away at home |
Epiphany:They should not have included monetary gains in their plot, that's the only blight in the whole shiznit, minus the fiduciary plot I'd have hope for them to succeed,at least that would've served the ministaer right;keeping the students at home for half a year, while asking his daughter to take time off from her private university to attend a birthday bash running into several hundreds of millions of naira organised by the minister himself |
desgiezd:Are you surprised,is it not in this same country, politicians have been shown live on national TV making gaffes only for them to say they were "quoted" out of context, tell me what quote has to do with somebody's live interview ![]() |
Dereformer:Take this to the joke section |
deor03:We're actually together in a business strategy meeting,fine-tuning our plans to recapture Intercontinental bank from that small boy called shanushi deor03:Errrr,can't comment on that |

omoge 001:If this is the same Omoge,I'm thinking of;then it's true you and Seun have a history since '05,the details of which are best known to the two of you. Hope you guys have made up by now.BTW,how's the other side? Then again, could've been a case of mistaken identity ![]() |
HNIC:If Platini has his way and replicates his four assistant refs proposal meant for UEFA tourneys in the local leagues, then that scenario may soon be a thing of the past as one of the asst refs will specifically stay behind the touchline to spot infringements within the six and eighteen yard boxes, shirt pullings ,dives and goal line decisions |
@ Wale Nigeria has enough proven roads and bridges engineers, the updated ones may not be in the ministries, but we are out here practicing.Do you know the number of bridges in Lagos that were designed by Nigerians.Jesus, why do you guys under rate your own like this, the same prefessionals you treat with contempt will leave the country and be much coveted by their host nations then you'll scream brain drain. What do you think is therre in designs, for crying out loud,in these days of CAD where we have several design softwares, the job is even easier, but if you don't have 100% assurance that your design/proposal will see the light of day or that it will not be hijacked, then you might as well attend to more pressing and important briefs. That's the sad reality in Nigeria where politicians and political jobbers have perfected the act of hijacing proposals and diverting approved funds Do you know how many very sound proposals are on the several desks in the ministries of works and transportation??,the politicians just won't act on them till they can effectively doctor and hijack same, where they don't hijack,if monies are appropriated for say a road project, they always find a way of diverting such funds to their personal pockets. The Anenih N340 billion embezzled funds meant for roads rehabilitation and construction, while he was the minister of works is still fresh in our memories |
