Hey Gunners,I was just thinking of ways that we could get more closely knitted as a unit.I mean it's good we drop our lines on nairaland, but I doubt if up to 5% of us have been able to establish physical/phone/mail contacts, especially amongst gooners resident within a particular area.C'mon guys I feel we should do this,so any I need for you guys to chip in ideas o how we could go about this, any takes |

A-40: We are going through a blip no doubt as for Saturday's game blaming Clichy is very unfair how about our strikers that where missing chance after chance? Why is Bendtner still at Arsenal?I was disappointed by Gallas's reaction why was he throwing tantrums like a barely legal chic when he should have been giving the keeper motivation and keeping his head up.I insist Bendtner is shyte and Wenger this is why we say you should buy players i just hope this is the lowest point we could go we are still up by 3 points and Villa should face the axe.One more thing Wenger made some poor substitutions bringing in Denilson and Gilberto when the game wasnt safe?Parnaby took full advantage since he was Hleb's man and Hleb was off You just scored a bull's eye.I know AW is fond of asking"why buy stars when you can make them"?whenever he is advised to buy one or more proven players. When asked what he would do with say 60m pounds, during a transfer window,he answers"I will hand it right back"Yes,Mr AW,you have proved your point already that you are the master of the game when it comes to grooming young talents, but pray someone tell me,when was it that a trophy was awarded to anybody by the FA for grooming the most young talents and "saving" money for your club, cos I seem to have been missing the event. hardMoney: Urgent , Who has connection? I have a banker friend who in a short time would be traveling to Nigeria with some Millionaire Investors. These White American investors specialize in housing development. They were supposed to be traveling to Niger Delta to meet with one of the deputy Governors.
Problem: The investors are cautiously worried about Niger Delta; although they have hired some body guards to accompany them.
My friend has not done good homework as to possible outcome of the journey and the caliber of this deputy governor (had to always worry about 419 elites). I deduced this from quick discussions with him.
Not sure about excellent hotel accommodation in the Niger Delta.
It looks like the travel plan is now set on stone as it took time to organize. I had proposed to my friend to cancel the trip and do some serious networking to establish good connection before the trip.
Question and help If you were to introduce some foreign investors to Nigeria; what would your plan look like?
I suggested he may need to make some contact with highly placed economic movers and checkers in Nigeria. Example, Soludo’s teams, FCT administrator, Lagos state Governor, Oil and Gas Team and etc. Please I need your advice and if possible please send contact information. Vieira: I am quietly confident about our chances at the San Siro.
The Onus will be on AC Milan to come out and attack.
I see us scoring a goal.
I preict it is either 1-1 or 0-1 in our favour. Hugoboi: Add "By Grace Of God" As if adding it is such a bad thing.Well by their words we shall know them that don't need the Grace of God in their lives as it is not such a good idea to them.I pity you. |

loyika: Gooners
Whats happening, its been a while since i posted anything worthwhile on our thread I spend more time on the Scummy thread nowadays having unnecessary arguements over basically nothing
But i am back to focusing on my team as we go down the last laps of the league
Where do we stand right now Well we are in a good position, but its very tricky, as we have a thin squad and need to have lady luck on our side.
Anyway, the good news is that Toure won't be out for as long as once thought, so there is hopefully going to be cover soonest for Senderos (where is Johan D ). Also Rozzi and "The Perse" should be back soon (hopefully RVP will get a run out tomorrow or at least against Villa ). We really miss the goal threat of RVP, and to a large extent Mozart (Rosicky), especially in the area of shots from outside the box. Hope when they comeback, they don't get injured anymore, till the season wraps up FINGERS CROSED EVERYONE!!
Hey!! Something else to ponder; Does Almunia take back the keeper slot, or does Crazy Jens maintain , as this will surely be his last season for the club. For the past 5 games, he has been ok, even at OT he was the star of the dismal Arsenal team performance (orelse we would have been bagging double figures ).
Anyways, Flamster says he ain't leaving and Arsene should be our gaffer for a long time. Also Cesc has pledged his future to the club as well, so all in all, key personnel memebers of the squad aren't going anywhere So the main emphasis should be on getting players to come in and add some quality, but i am getting way ahead of myself.
We face the Brummies tomorrow. Focus is needed by the guys to get the maximum points and put pressure on our challengers to keep up.
Will the extra games played by the squad tell on us I hope not. Also heard Ade might be a doubt Time for the others to step up, which i am sure will be no problem Just hope we can round the contest up in the first half, and then relax.
COMEON YOU RED AND WHITE ARMY!! LETS GO 8 POINTS CLEAR OF THE SCUMTWATS!!
Have a lovely weekend guys (and ladies)
MUKINA WHERE ART THOU!!
GOONER 89 Yep indeedy,it's the additional goal threat of RVP and those cannon shots from Rozzi that I miss most, believe me we would have been over 12 points clear if the duo had not been out injured for this long. Jens has tried(but did you expect anything less, the injuries to Almunia handed Jens a long-hoped-for lifeline,so I didn't expect him to not give it his best shot) Ade is available for the Brummies fixture. With each EPL match, the journey of the 2007/2008 EPL trophy to the Emirates becomes shorter. WORD OF ADVICE:Those teams smelling our butts from behind and their scummies should quit hoping against hope to reduce the heartbreak they will suffer when we finally win the league BEFORE WE EVEN PLAY OUR LAST GAME ARSENAL:I LOVE THIS TEAM |

Hugoboi: Abeg make una allow the chap express himself.Given the fact that he's a Gunner,I'm surprised that he recognises the hopelessness of their situation.Chances for Arsenal look virtually non existent in the Champs League and with United in hot pursuit in the league is enough to give any true gunner nightmares.Anyway come March 4,we'l all see how the cookie will crumble. Yea right,he's a gunner, just as the president of Nigeria is Benazir Bhutto |

debosky: Maldini is 'firing'?
Hleb will retire that old bat on Wednesday
Ronaldo is whom I was most scared of, but he is out - Kaka and Pato will be dealt with, and as long as we don't concede stupid freekicks we'll be safe from Pirlo's wicked right foot. Hmmm,it's actually Pirlo's set pieces,I'm worried about more than anything chuckdee4: Damn, what a weekend, i bet the likes of Jackal n co must have had an orgasm over that performance on Saturday. Arsenal just didnt turn up and united fully deserved the win
Who to blame, geeeez a lot went wrong on the day, i've never seen hoyte play so badly, God knows he's better than that nonsense he showed, Traore is beginning to upset me with his silly mistakes and EBOUE should be flogged 24 in the midle of the Emirates, not only was he absent throught his short time on d pitch but what the phuck was that tackle all about, he's the min reason people say Arsenal cheat, i've just about had it with his diving, dirty tackling ass.
Bendter n Eduardo looked like passengers, i'm not sure either of them are ready for these Manchester United games, boy do we need RV back, Ade can't carry d team all season.
What the hell was wrong with Toure and Gallas
In all it was a horrible display and the better team won, their 2nd team players looked more hungry than ours did so its quite fair we're not in the next round, they better thump AC Milan to make this defeat worth it. hopefully our 2 wing backs, Flamini, Ade and the real Fab should be back.
Don't be decieved we will bounce back just like we did after the tottenham defeat and the league is sure heading southwards. Onward Gunners On Eboue, you just read my mind, where is the Eboue that used to make those darting runs like a gazelle down the flanks before pulling in those inch perfect crosses for TH14 & co 1-2 seasons ago.If he really wants out,he should come out LOUD AND CLEAR,all these hidden desire to play for barca is making him lose focus. As a GOONER,of course I want us to edge out Milan over the two legs, but that will not happen if our boys don't come to the party. If they try that nonsense(including the formation, defence line, approach to the game etc etc)they displayed against Man u on Sat ,then we'll be mince meat for Milan. Howbeit if they decide to up the ante, raise their game more than like we saw against Man City(that humbled Man u @ old and dilapidated Trafford),then victory is assured. FINAL NOTES 1)Milan takes European ties more seriously than those of the serie A.So we must give them that in-your-face attitude we gave Juve 2 seasons ago and play like we really are hungry for for the CL,anything short of that, then it's au voir CL. (2)The EPL trophy is less than 11km(11games) away from the Emirates.Yep,I know we have 12 games to go,but I AM CONFIDENT we will win the league before then. GO GOONERS,have a lovely CONFIDENT week |

Abu-Maryam: @ All. Some weeks back transcorp has shown some positive movements which trigger people to slivate including me, but when i contacted my broker he break the egg to me. My dear Nairalanders transcorp is finished. A WORD IS ENOUGH TO A WISE, @Abu Maryam,ur broker break the egg,who come make the omelette? If there is any one that has been Lucky with Transcorp,I'm the one(I offloaded immediately after the TS was lifted for the first time after the IPO @ about 9.70).My previous posts per this coy in recent time show that after offloading,I've not been impressed enough to re-enter,even when the price started crashing. However,I maintain that this is the best thing to happen to my plans for Transcorp, let the massive offloading start, then I'll decide when to re-enter.Blueband said the hotel made a loss last year,I KNOW. What profit have Nigeria wire and cable ,Africa paints etc been making?but we have made money from trading in those stocks. The gates of NIGWIRCABLE may still be under lock and key even as I write, but the price still dey go North Pole. Chacal: @ nateevs,
GAYnners have to be the most idiotic and moronic set of fans in the world. They don't get tired of their foolish excuses. . . . They were outplayed n outfoxed. PURE PLAIN and SIMPLE!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have a problem with a team losing 4-0 or whatever. . . . It was the manner by which they lost that bovvers me. No single corner-kick in 90 mins. . . . No shot on goal for 90 mins. . . . Van Der Sar didn't make a single save for 90 mins.
Everton lost 4-1 to Arsenal at Goodison Park the other day but they competed throughout the whole game. Watching yesterday's game, u have to feel sorry for Arsene Wenger. . . . Arsenal will not win anything this season. 5 points gap in the league is nuthing. . . , United have surmounted a bigger gap in the past and with what happened last night, Its over for Arsenal.
When Tottenham hammered em 5-1 at White Hart Lane. . . Gaynners said they don't care about the Carling Cup but the other 3 titles. United bludgeoned em 4-0 last night and all of a sudden, they don't care about the FA Cup. Lets see what happens when Milan slaughters em in the UCL. . .Buncha retarded set of goons!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot fathom out how a team that had Lehmann, Gallas, Toure, Fabregas, Hleb, Gilberto, Eboue and Eduardo got thrashed by 4-0. If Wazza wasn't wasteful, the scoreline should have been 8-0 without any complain at all. The title race is far from over. Arsenal's STRENGTH IN DEPTH will be their greatest undoing.
P.S. What happened to Fab4? Anderson trained him again for the 3rd consecutive time. Anutha coincidence? Hey hey, temper temper, hey no gutter speak on this thread. We (GOONERS)observe strict adherence to etiquette(from the tone of your post, something you're quite bereft of). Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.We made you look. What are you doing here on this thread? Why live a lie,I'd rather support Accra heart of oaks than waste my time with a sinking team such as chelsea.Face reality man, chelsea is DEAD without Mourinho,@ least you all now know that Roman's billions WILL NEVER win you the CL.You should even pray to play in Europe next year cos Liverpool,Everton,Tottenham and Blackburn are aiming to dislodge you from d number four spot that u are struggling to occupy at the end of the season. 4-0, 8-0,20-0,@ the end of the season MAN You will be smelling our EPL trophy-winning butt.Sorry,Chelsea is not yet qualified to smell our butt as you guys hav to worry about the other teams in your category such as Everton,Portsmouth,Tottenham etc |
