Xisnin: If that is the case, his loyalists won't be fighting with tooth and nail against it. Buhari cannot win election without the support of various power blocks in different state. The senators against the bill are the unpopular ones who can't survive without Buhari, by making NASS elections come first, they are shielding themselves from the consequences of the presidential elections outcome.
Even if Buhari becomes desperate, he is as good as the support he can get at the local level which is controlled by Senators and Reps. God bless you sir for capturing the picture perfectly well. |

Eventhough I know oyegun is one of the worst party chairmen ever and has been pursuing his own selfish agenda too,I like the way he is putting Tinubu in his shoes. Tinubu has lost a lot of goodwill and political capital having had d rug pulled from under his feet by d likes of Ogun state governor,Fashola,Fayemi etc and now wants to use this job to selfishly garner lost political leverage. He is heading for another disgrace from the Oyegun camp. I am happy you can see it as it is bro. Your sentiment is clearly what I share. progress69: By Law, senate has no right interfering with the election time table. INEC is an independent body, senate trying to reorder elections time table is unconstitutional and undermines INEC as an independent body. Its is unconstitutional and will not stand. Wrong notion bro! You must understand that the Acts that created INEC was accented to by the Senate so the Senate played an important role in the emergence of INEC and let me also remind you that the Senate represents the masses in a logical sense while INEC works for us the people. If by any reasons the masses are complaining bitterly about the way INEC is operating then the Senate (based on petitions scooped from the people they represent) have the power to put things straight in the operations of the INEC so as to appear fair and not biased in the way they conduct elections. The Senate did not change the dates of election which still makes INEC independent but only rearrange the sequence of election dates so as to prevent future disagreements. |

AfflictedOne: Good morning Nairalanders , especially doctors in the house. I have a very serious case of bad mouth odour that has persisted for a long time, at least 8years.
Sometimes I have to brush as many as three to four times a day and bad enough, it will still be there.
Occasionally, I remove some yellowish smelly stuffs from my throat and after sometimes I see them again. Also of late, I have persistent headaches even without fever, even when I wake in the morning expecting to be refreshed, the ache will still be there. I don't know if these are related.
I have seen two or three doctors and normally there give me antibiotics and recommend mouthwashes. Now it is still here an am worried and depressed.
I am in my late 20s and this has affected my life in ways space will not permit me to write. I just cannot function well anywhere because I cannot talk for fear of the odour. My social life is zero, and I am almost always alone.
Please advice me if you have or know someone who has experienced this, or you are an expert or you know something I can do to be free from this. Its so bad its the only item on my new year prayer. I don't want to spend another year in this. Thank you all in anticipation.
This is a new profile, just for anonymity. Please help an afflicted brother. Thank you. What you have is a chronic sinus infection but worry not bro I want to recommend this for and if it works after or before 7 days please feel free to acknowledge here please so as to help others ; Let me quickly give you a better solution dear: just get these; INDCLAV* 625 (an Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium Tablets) one tablet after meal twice a day for 7 days and get a nasal droplet (Xylometazoline hydrochloride nasal drops). You will just be fine. you shall testify in Jesus Name. Please make sure you also get an Apple Cider drink too to be mixed in your drinking water and take 3 times daily. Follow the instructions |

Politics › Re: Much Ado About Election Reordering by Ratello: 11:07am On Feb 23, 2018 |
This is the type of discussion I like, it shows we still have brilliant minded ones amidst us. The reordering of the elections is a master stroke on the part of the Senate and they deserve to be commended for that. It is a move to checkmate a desperate President or Governor who is hellbent to perpetuate himself in power against the wishes of the masses or the electorates. Let's view it this way, if the Presidential Elections was to be first conducted, it would enhance a kind of bullying the structures in the States, local governments to work forcefully for the President emergence against all odds especially within its party framework with the belief that the other contestants (Senate and House of Reps alongside the State House of Assembly) can be massively rigged into power going by the turn out of the party Presidential representative at the polls which is nothing but pure fraud. On the contrary, if the Presidential or Governorship elections come last it is likely that automatic securing of the seat by the President or Governor is not guaranteed because it will be more glaring that the structures in the State and local governments that were hitherto supposed to work for him may not be in unison because of the uncertainty that awaits them in their yet to be conducted elections. I think the reordering of elections should be fully embraced |

sophoccles: It has an impact in the event that the incumbent president is politically astute & wily with the foresight & savvy to get involved in the grassroot politics of most of the states - someone in the mould of Obasanjo.
Obasanjo had agents, moles and proxies in most of the states with which he could checkmate and indeed remove any errant governor. He could choose to maintain his own political structures parallel with that of the state governor, or he worked with them if they were pliable. That guy mastered Nigerian politics totally and he was never a puppet to any kitchen cabinet or mafia. . . You failed to address the poser he raised |

hopilo: Let have a discussion here; For the past one month, we have this issue of reordering elections by National Assembly top on our national discuss. Do you think reordering of elections has impact on who wins the elections? Why?
By reordering it mean that, Senate and House of Reps elections first. State houses of assembly second Governorship and Presidential third.
How does this increases or diminish the chance of the aspirants. This is the type of discussion I like, it shows we still have brilliant minded ones amidst us. The reordering of the elections is a master stroke on the part of the Senate and they deserve to be commended for that. I love this more like playing on the psyche of INEC to watch there back now that it is common knowledge on all Nigerians that INEC is APC and APC is INEC this is why I love the reordering stance of the Senate. Through the reordering, it will be very dangerous for INEC to rig for APC. The issue of PVC distribution must be queried too, how do you make the exercise so smooth up North and cumbersome down South? How did you explain a situation where INEC handed PVCs to Emirs whereby underage children now have access to it? Why is INEC trying to fight the reordering of election dates by the Senate? Is INEC afraid of something we don't know? Many questions begging for answers. INEC cannot hold credible elections under APC if they can't efficiently distribute PVCs equitably well across the nation. I also advise that electorates must wait after casting their votes and make sure they hear the results before leaving such polling booths and write down that results for reference sake. Defend your votes! |

Nowenuse: How many states in NC will vote for Buhari, that is what you should ask your ignorant self.
Even in 2015, Buhari could not win Nasarawa, Plateau & FCT, how much now that many people are tired of him and see him as a disgrace?
Buhari is certainly loosing Benue and no one needs to explain the reason why to a political ignoramus like you.
Buhari is also loosing Kogi, because Yahaya Bello's display of stupidity has made APC to be hated by most Igalas & Okuns. Only Ebiras are still loyalists of APC, and only their votes cannot help Buhari win Kogi.
As for Kwara, Saraki controls the state and he is certainly no longer pro Buhari. Niger state is the only state Buhari can win in the NC. You are good in your analysis your attention is needed here; https://www.nairaland.com/4320919/projected-atikus-masterstroke-statistical-analyses |

How can a sensible human being call Donald Duke mumu.
So a president must come from the north hence why we should seek and vote for only a northerner that can split buharis vote. Just imagine your wack childish mentality.

ClumsyFlimsy: Shut up
It's you that is not a true Igbo man
it's either you are not a true Igbo man or you short sighted. Do you really think atiku has any genuine thing to offer ndigbo. Him and Buhari are almost similar. If atiku wins; he will seek reelection and rule for another 8years coupled with Buhari 4, that's 12years to the north.. 12 fucking years.
I had rather Buhari even completes his tenure than fr another northerner to win and rule fr 8years
Due to Buhari incompetence and the madness of his Fulani brethrens, if he wins, there is a high chance of either restructuring or disintegration which I know majority of us want.
Do North will forever hold us back They are not ready to be civilized and seek a better future which we igbos want
In this 21st century they are still archaic and barbaric imagine wanting to kill and conquer people in this 2018
Imagine using underaged voters-- this can't happen South East or South South. How I go stand wan vote small pickin go follow me, I go slap am na
The North is the reason why we are still underdeveloped, they are the reason why we can't hold our leaders accountable for their nonsense
Kenya is fast developing ahead of this shit hole
I dont want a northern president cause most of them are simply thesame. Atiku el rufai Dan kwambo are almost similar to Buhari
The only good northern president was yaradua and his people didn't like him. who knows if he even died a natural death
So I say no to Buhari no to to atiku
If PDP can't bring out Donald Duke then God forbid let me vote for another mallam It is too obvious that you are a political Lilliputian in the way you argue especially when you open your naive post with an insult. I guess you are a kid. The political permutation favours a Nirtherner in 2019 as it stands and here you are talking of one mumu Donald Duke who is a Southerner you must be high. We are talking of bringing in a strong Northerner to split the votes against a Buhari up North and here you are blabbing about one Donald Duke. I insist you are not a true Igbo! |
