austin2all:This is the object of discussion trust me it's a deliberate scheme to tilt victory towards Buhari in 2019 by making sure registration and issuance of PVCs down South is difficult. INEC is Buhari/APC and Buhari/APC is INEC! They shall meet their waterloo at the polls come 2019! |
I joined this great site sometimes towards the end of 2015 but I have been an avid reader of Nairaland posts since 2009 and I am quite familiar with some unique debaters here while going through my pages I stumbled on this particular thread by a legendary contributor here and probably one of the most misunderstood poster here by the name aljharem and somehow I saw the predictions and well thought out analyses by political gladiators who have graced this wonderful section in time pasta eg Sincere9gerian, Gbawe, Tomakint, ProfCorruption, Okijajuju1, BlackTechnology, nduchuks, Firefire, NgeneUkwenu, EdCure, Oduastates, Tolexander, Slimghost, ba7man, Gboliwe, Ilugunboy, Berem, Desola, BrokenTV, Arysexy, Barcanista, PointB and other great soldiers back then. brainpulse:How many people are you sending to the farm? What if 12Submarine is not a good farmer are you still insisting he should go to the farm? You folks operate on Pentium 3 memory from the way you guys reason. What is the point of giving me bogus figures that is not reflecting on the streets. Argentine, Australia, the United States and Israel all have around 4%.to 10% of their populations working in the farm yet they are feeding the world while Nigeria with about 40% of her population working in the farms cannot even afford to feed herself well. Reflect on this |

Processor01:Catholics. Born Roman Catholics. The curse in the family has to do with premature deaths of the "brightest stars" within the family except for the last born Edward Kennedy who saw real old age despite his many close shave with deaths. |
cyrilamx:You are a son in the kingdom, God bless you real good on your short but loaded expository discourse on GENERATIONAL CURSE which modern day Christianity hardly discuss. I love it when you chipped in the Kennedy Curse issue, it is a stark reality that Generational Curse is a universal thing. Edward Kennedy who happens to be the longest serving Senator in the history of US and the last son of the Kennedy Dynasty later confirmed the curse on the lineage. Generational curse is real. Salute to shadeyinka, I must confess you are good and deep! |
February 11, 2018 Press Statement Katsina, Kano Polls Show Buhari Has Lost Popularity In Stronghold The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said the resort to primitive cheating and deployment of heavily armed security forces to muscle votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in last Saturday’s House of Representatives bye-election in Katsina state has further shown that President Muhammadu Buhari and his party have completely lost popularity among Nigerians, even in the President’s home state. The party also described the last Saturday’s Kano state Local Council election, which was also characterized by outright cheating, open underaged voting and ballot stuffing, as a wholesome mockery of electoral process. These two elections have signified that the APC cannot win any free and fair election, even in their supposed stronghold. PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement on Sunday, said the fact that the APC had to recourse to brute force and allocation of ballots to gain votes in the bye-election in Mashi/Dutsi Federal Constituency, which ordinarily should have been for them, a walk in the park, being President Buhari’s constituency, shows that the party has pathetically lost it all. The PDP said the fact that it still held a legitimate 22,690 votes against the 30,719 fraudulently allocated to the APC, despite the use of force and other brazen infractions by the APC, shows that PDP is the natural winner of the election. It further strengthens our resolve that our party, the PDP, still commands a genuine followership among Nigerians. We however invite Nigerians and the international community to mark how the APC and its controlled Federal Government are corrupting our electoral system, by using force to intimidate the people and steal their votes. The APC is also corrupting security officials to use maximum force as a desperate measure to save President Buhari, whose popularity had dipped across our nation. In their desperation to help the President, the APC in cahoot with the inept Presidency declared war on the people by ensuring the deployment of over 1000 heavily armed and hostile security operatives for an election that held in only 15 polling units within two local governments of Katsina State. It is unfortunate that the APC has recoursed to worst kind of intimidation and violations twelve calender months ahead of the general elections. Currently, the PDP is compiling a comprehensive documentary evidence of infractions and irregularities including barring of legitimate voters from accessing polling centers, assigning of polling units to APC government functionaries, indiscriminate arrests of opposition members and supporters, underaged voting and allocation of votes for APC as well as conflict between results from the polling units and collation centers among others. Also being compiled is the identity of the security and electoral officials used by the APC to subvert the will of the people, which will be made public while ensuring that they are prosecuted. The clear message to the APC is that the will of the people will prevail in 2019 as Nigerians will never allow the shameful impunity and suppression witnessed in Katsina and Kano during last Saturday's election as they will be fully rallied to resist such across board”, the party said. The PDP however urged its members in Kastina and Kano to remain calm as it takes decisive but legitimate steps to reclaim their stolen mandate. Signed: Kola Ologbondiyan National Publicity Secretary |

Whereas these drugs are sold like no man business up North and other "high drugs" but they will only concentrate mostly down south. |
ojun50:It is not like this in the North they made virtually every available spaces as registration centres up there and up there one man can have more than one PVCs as it stands INEC is strategizing to rig the elections for Buhari but I can assure the bastards up there that they will be firmly resisted by Nigerians. The evil mission of INEC is to prevent and discourage many Southerners from obtaining their PVCs let's cry out against this scheme |
deomelllo:Buhari's lackey one unique thing about you in particular is your brazen but childish attempt at always masking the truth with incoherent prattles which I do understand very well but I am glad you admitted (at the bold) that he was never indicted. U CANNOT PUT A CROWN ON A CLOWN AND EXPECT A KING.... History Being Repeated? . In 1983: . $1 = N 1 £1 = N2 Volkswagen Beetle = N1,400 Foods were in abundance Kids were in school Businesses were booming with vibrant economy and people were gainfully employed. No illegal arrest or media trial. Rule of law was maintained. . On 31 December, 1983, he and his criminal gang struck with the excuse of tackling widespread corruption and within few months, . $1 = N15 £1 = N40 Volkswagen Beetle = N8, 000 Kids dropped out of school because their parents couldn't afford their school fees anymore. Businesses closed down. Foods were rationed as people queued up for essential commodities. Many Nigerians lost their jobs because the economy collapsed. Innocent Nigerians were arrested for free speech and human rights violated with impunity. The Constitution was suspended. . He blamed Alh. Shagari's govt for this mess. He blamed corruption, yet he jailed Dr. Alex Ekwueme (the Vice President) but left Shagari (the president) in his palace. . But when another gang threw him out, and within few months, Nigerians started smiling again. Our kids returned to school, food was in abundance again, Nigerians got their jobs back and the economy was revived etc. . In 2015: . $1 = N175-190 £1 = N289-320 Cars were affordable with local manufacturers smiling to the bank. Food was in abundance (at least a bag of rice was N7, 000) Kids were in school Businesses were booming with vibrant economy, no illegal arrest or media trial. . On 29 May, 2015 when he was 'jega-ed' into power: . $1 = N315-510 £1 = N550-610 Local car manufactures shut down their plants due to harsh economic condition. Famine was unleashed on Nigerians and a bag of rice rose to N22, 000/27, 000 while minimum wage remains N18, 000. Kids dropped out of school. Businesses closed down, millions lost their jobs and inflation is in double digits. Just like in 1985, he's blaming corruption and his predecessor for the same mess he created within few months of assumption of office. "YOU CANNOT PUT A CROWN ON A CLOWN AND EXPECT A KING." |
Nigeria spends N14,000 daily to feed each prisoner – Minister Nigerian government is annually spending N10billion for feeding of prisoners in the country, minister of Interior, AbdurRahman Dambazau has said. With the country’s estimated prison population of 57,000, the government is roughly spending N14,000 for a three-square meal of each prisoner per day. Speaking at a town hall meeting in Kaduna on Tuesday, Mr Dambazau said his ministry is searching inward to see how it can harness some revenue sources in the sector to complement government’s efforts. “It is unacceptable for government to be commiting N10 billion every year on feeding of prison inmates,” Mr Dambazau said. However, while defending the 2018 budget, before the members of the Senate Committee on Interior, the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Prisons Service, Ahmed Ja’afaru, stated that N17 billion was allocated for feeding which is to spread across 244 prisons. In a reaction, Senator Chukwuka Utazi decried the little budgetary allocation given to prisoners in the country which he had noticed over time. Senator Utazi noted that the treatment given to the prison inmates “would make them gradually become a menace” when they are eventually released into the society. “In 2015, I told the former CG about this because I over see also the human rights and we go to prisons and we see these things ourselves. I raised this issue of prison food ration. It is a serious issue that I think if you get it right; it would help a whole lot of things,” Utazi said. “You have 17 billion here spread across 244 prisons. It is 244 with all the population there and we have 17 billion, I want to find out, what is the present ration per head,” the Enugu state lawmaker asked. The Comptroller-General explained that the N300 was for the actual meal and N150 is expended on cooking. Irked by his response, Senator Utazi called for a review of the allocation for feeding for prisoners. “450 for one day? For an adult? Mr. Chairman, this is outrageous. This is unacceptable, unthinkable and unheard of. This committee will not be a party to this kind of budget. It is totally embarrassing that adults that you send to the prison, they have 300 meals. Is it for a baby or for who? “I feel that we are getting it wrong. That is part of the problem we are having in the country. You send people to go and be reformed, they come out hardened and they become a menace t our society.” He said: “Mr. chairman, I feel that you are going to take this thing up on our behalf to get to the budget office. The minister of planning and this thing has to be reviewed. Today, in most of the prisons are at the mercy of benevolent people who send food to prison inmates and I don’t know how many of them are out there doing such. “This is for 2017, we are yet to get to 2018 and see what they are just doing here. I am of the opinion that we have a total review. Anything that is not in the neighbourhood of giving this people minimum of 500 per meal is not acceptable. “In a day N1,500 per inmate. These are human beings and our brothers. Yes, they are deviants but they remain our brothers and we want them to come out unless you want them to remain in the prison forever. There is no way the federal republic of Nigeria should be budgeting N450 per head,” he added. The committee also the queried the printing of Nigerian passport outside the country by the Immigration Service. https://dailynigerian.com/news/nigeria-spends-n14000-daily-to-feed-each-prisoner-minister/amp/ Cc: Lalasticlala

DUTCHDON:I don't like it when matured minds are behaving like kids the reason why I am stretching this debate to this level is because I believed that you are a matured mind. Point to the world from the the bolden quotes you displayed there where it was stated that Atiku was indicted for embezzling $40 million dollars after collecting a $2 million US dollars bribe please. You may want to supply your source too like I did here proving to you that Atiku was never indicted but was only accused and he was never barred from traveling to the US but was denied US Visa on administrative grounds which was never disclosed. You may want to read this up to; ‘Why We Can’t Talk About Buhari, Atiku Travel Ban’ – US By Anuoluwapo Adeseun / Following former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar’s claim that the United States barred Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari from entering the country for 15 years, the US government has explained why it will not deny or confirm Atiku’s allegation. Speaking through the Department of State, the American government also said it would not discuss the reasons Atiku is being denied entry into the US. Two weeks ago, Atiku, in an interview with The Boss magazine, said the US had barred Buhari from the US for 15 years due to his religious beliefs. The former vice president was responding to a question on why he avoided travelling to the US. ‘US Barred Buhari For 15 Years Over Sharia’ – Atiku Alleges “It is the sole prerogative of America to determine who they want in their country or not. I’m not running away from America. I applied but wasn’t issued a visa. However, they did not decline me categorically. “They’ve only said my application is going through an administrative process. This is not peculiar to me. For about 15 years, Buhari could not enter America on account of his religious considerations. I fly to different parts of the world, including Europe. If America wanted (to arrest) me, it would be so easy for them to reach out to their allies,” he had replied. According to PUNCH, the US authorities refused to confirm or deny the ex-vice president’s claims. The US Department of States when contacted to confirm why Buhari was barred from entering the US for 15 years and Atiku for “administrative reasons,” a US official said, “Due to US privacy laws, visa cases are considered confidential. We do not discuss specific cases.” The American government was also asked again whether it ever viewed Buhari as holding extreme religious views and if Atiku was free to apply for a US visa. It also inquired how many politically exposed persons from Nigeria had been barred from entering the US since 1999. “Unfortunately, I don’t have anything further to add at this time. Regarding questions about visas, due to US privacy laws, visa cases are considered confidential and we do not discuss private cases,” was the response of Nick Sadoski, a US official at the DoS. http://www.nigerianmonitor.com/us-explains-why-it-cant-talk-about-buhari-atikus-travel-ban/ |

Why I’ve not visited United States — Atiku December 2, 2017 Samuel Ogundipe Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar . [Photo credit: Guardian Nigeria] Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has explained why he has been unable to enter the United States in the past few years. There have been concerns that Mr. Abubakar was avoiding a trip to America because he fears a warrant was out for his arrest there. But Mr. Abubakar, who is expected to run for president in 2019, said in an interview published by The Boss newspaper that he had actually made attempt to visit the U.S. but was denied on administrative grounds. “I applied, but wasn’t issued a visa. However, they did not decline me categorically either. They’ve only said my application is going through administrative process,” Mr. Abubakar told the paper published by Dele Momodu. “It is the sole prerogative of America to determine who they want in their country or not. I’m not running away from America,” Mr. Abubakar added. The former vice-president said such administrative denials were not unique to him, saying President Muhammadu Buhari could not also enter the country for 15 years due to his religious views. The U.S. Embassy in Abuja did not immediately respond to PREMIUM TIMES email seeking comments Saturday afternoon. Speculation about Mr. Abubakar’s run in with U.S. authorities stemmed from a broadband contract award to iGate, an America company which Williams Jefferson, then U.S. federal lawamker from Louisiana, had interest in. Mr. Jefferson was said to have used his political influence and friendship with Mr. Abubakar to ensure that the contract went smoothly in Nigeria with intentions to pay some kickbacks to Nigerian officials, including the former vice president. Mr. Jefferson revealed in a secretly recorded conversation with the FBI that Mr. Abubakar stood to benefit up to $500,000 for helping influence the broadband deal in Nigeria at the time. Although Mr. Jefferson lost his representative seat and served jail term in America for the deal, Mr. Abubakar was never prosecuted in Nigeria. It is also not clear if Mr. Abubakar was indicted in the U.S over the case. “On the issue of corruption, I have challenged anyone, anywhere, who has any evidence of corruption against me to come forward. I’m sure they would have combed everywhere trying to find anything incriminating against me, but they have not found it, or they are still searching,” Mr. Abubakar said. Mr. Atiku, vice-president from 1999-2007, has largely been a businessman since retiring from Nigeria Customs Service decades ago. He dismissed his critics and contenders as lacking basic entrepreneurial knowledge, hence the reason they despise him for his own business acumen. “Let any of those who want to compete with me show what they have managed successfully,” Mr. Atiku said. Mr. Abubakar’s likely 2019 ambition has become increasingly noticeable in his activities in recent months. Over the past year, he had initiated a slew of political moves to cast himself in a brighter light. Prominent amongst these is his relentless call for a fundamental restructuring of Nigeria, arguing that the current system is unworkable —a position that Nigerians are buying into in an ever increasing number. Mr. Abubakar has been described as a serial contender for the presidency, having run in 2007 and 2015 elections, although the 2015 bid ended at primary stage when he lost to Mr. Buhari. He dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress last week Friday, citing alleged failure by the Buhari administration to improve the quality of life in the country and neglect of the youth in federal cabinet appointment. His political allies have indicated that Mr. Abubakar was on his way to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, which has opened its doors to him. The Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, openly threw her support behind Mr. Abubakar’s presidential bid in September despite the uncertainty that clouds Mr. Buhari’s re-election plans. Mr. Abubakar also accused the president of sidelining him after contributing immensely to ensure his victory against then-incumbent Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. The presidency has not reacted to Mr. Abubakar’s criticism. But Mr. Abubakar’s recent actions have earned him renewed criticism, with many of his adversaries exhuming his past controversies, which include the iGate scandal. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/251239-ive-not-visited-united-states-atiku.html |
DUTCHDON:Just like that the nigga chickens out when presented with superior arguments I ask a simple question you are asking me barbaric question what is their to dispute when from your phony sources Atiku was not even convicted but was merely accused which is normal. You probably thought Atiku is one fool right? If he had been convicted like you assumed and noises everywhere do you think that same Atiku will try to be Nigeria's President? You are the biggest clown for disappointing on the little assignment given you to unravel |
bjayx:You are confused already. If its not PDP thn which party will defeat APC? You are not voting Buhari (APC) and you think it is Kowe or Obasanjo's mumu party that will defeat Buhari? |
muykem:I will remind you on this by 2019! |
The woman actually saw the future before the marriage if the dude had already "entered" that "hole" I am sorry it is too late a look at the bride can tell a thousand words that she is not an ordinary being. Those who know the Dad (Baba Ijebu) can confirm this. I feel for the groom right now. This is one chance marriage, no way out! |
Only some clowns will start venerating Obasanjo. He is not worth it but Nigerians made him what he is by listening to him, ignore him but keep him under a strict watch and all will be well. Of course I endorse the aspect where he took Buhari to the cleaners on his style of governance but any other "story" in that letter are mere effusions of a haughty spirit in him. |
DUTCHDON:Most times I just let people be even in their ignorance showmanship. I ask a simple question 'where and when was Atiku indicted and stopped from travelling to the United States on both the Haliburton and Siemens case"? And till now you are still disturbing my mentions with baseless claims from unverifiable links and sources. Atiku is a big fish in Nigeria and when a corruption case of that magnitude (running into millions of dollars) is committed in an American soil, common sense should tell you that the US Attorney may have to get the Interpol attention to it and the news will be all over the world like Ibori's and Senator Buruji's case which means Atiku would have been extradited to US to face trials by writing the FG for permission. Nigeria had paraded 3 Presidents since Atiku left power in 2007 yet nothing of such. I am only helping you to think straight that Atiku was accused but never indicted both home and abroad on any corruption cases unfortunately you are programmed upstairs with your fellow mates to keep bleating "Atiku is corrupt, Atiku cannot enter US"! I hope you clowns know that Atiku had no immunity since 2007. Oya start digging for more evidences where Atiku was indicted or convicted genuinely from a reasonable source. Please don't disappoint this time around. |
