You need to get the facts of the story before throwing blame. I don't think there is anywhere in the world where airlines discriminate particularly disabled persons. However you must comply with their policies. Something has not been mentioned in this story.

American, UK and the rest will not extradite its citizens especially to countries like Nigeria and some others because of the poor human rights standards and incompetent / unfair judicial system. However their citizens can be tried in the US and will go to jail in the US if found guilty for crimes (including corrupt practices) the commit in countries like Nigeria.
