ShangoThor:My brother I can understand how you feel. I watched the event and I asked myself why is Nigeria cursed not to have the best at the helms of affair. You don't need to be told that this man is passionate about the Nigerian Project. But the problem with we Nigerians is that we hardly take notice of our benefactor; we prefer to sacrifice our all for those exploiting us. It's a tragedy for us that we must overcome. Nigeria is blessed with people that can make it the envy of every nations in the world. I keep praying to God to open our minds to recognize greatness and be open to it. |

For all of us who are after the implementation of APC manifesto i.e. THE HOW of how they are going to achieve their programmes, please tune in to this programme now. It's running live on Sahara TV. Prof is really delivering. This is a very good VP material. You can also follow the programme on twitter. |
eminikansoso:Thanks my brother. Of all the countries of the world, God in His infinite knowledge chose for me to be a Nigerian, why will I not be happy? No matter where I go now, I cannot change my colour, my tongue, my history. I think I have no other choice than being a very proud Nigerian and that is what I will be till I die. The fact that others don't see it that way will never deter me from making Nigeria the envy of all. I know those white people deep in their hearts want to be Nigerians. If only our leaders can rise up to the occasion to wake up the giant in us all. Be forever blessed my brother and may you continue to find the favour of God in whatever you lay your hands on. |
anonymousjuju:Thanks my dear sister(?) for the compliment. Actually with your comment I could sense some positive things. Some of us are very truthful to ourselves that we find it difficult to deny the truth. You were very outspoken and frank. You didn't allow sentiments to becloud your judgement of what you saw yourself. Even though a part of you what to acknowledge what you saw, but the other part is saying otherwise. Sometimes we find ourselves in this scenario. You simply confirmed this through your answer to another fellow by saying that a devil you know is better than an unknown angel. You wanted to give the devil another chance when you are convinced that by the word devil, nothing good can come out of it afterall. Some in response to your puzzlement took it to mean that probably you should have never believed in the unseen in the first instance. That is where the difference lies. I perfectly understand your fears because I have been there myself. I know what it means to leave one's comfort zone. You are afraid because you did not know what the future will hold. This goes for some of us and that is why we are where we are today. We are too comfortable with our thoughts. We do not like something that will upset the equilibrium because of our fears of what may come out of it. But my dear sister(?), taking this path will lead us to nowhere. We will only be stagnated in only one place: where we are. But mind you, the world we live today is once the dream of some people. Some of them died in the actualization of those dreams. In those days when I read James Hardley Chase novels, I would wonder if such technology could ever exist. But see what is happening today, and judge the power of human mind! So back to the topic my sister(?), I understand your fears about the man. And in the programme you have just watched, Buhari acknowledged such fear. He said whenever he remembers the energy and zeal of the young men who followed and accompanied them from the airport to the venue of the rally, that he is always scared and disappointing such people would be a great disappointment. To be fair, I think he understands the hope we are putting on him. The onus is on us to give him the chance to prove his mettle. For me in particular, this election is not about any politician per se, but it is an assessment of a government by the people they rule. So if we are able to defeat the PDP, we would have succeeded in telling anybody that win that Nigerian people cannot be taken for a ride. God bless you and your family and may God bless Nigeria more than we ever imagine. |
anonymousjuju:I had my doubts just like you. I hardly believe any politician because whatever they say is always suspicious. But one thing I value most is honesty and integrity. First of all, he was given 30 minutes for the presentation, he kept to time even to the acknowledgement of the Chairman of the occasion. Secondly, one of the enthusiastic supporter of APC asked him what he will do in the first 100 days in office. He told him frankly that when he went for all the rallies and saw the zeal of the people, he got scared. He said truthfully to himself that he wouldn't promise much but he would definitely work on putting the country back on track. This is very rare of our politicians who are known for playing to the gallery. Thirdly, a sign of an honest leader is accepting responsibility for whatever goes wrong. He publicly admitted that he took responsibility for whatever happened then. Compare this with the present government and see the difference. I am not worried about the past because what has been done can never be undone. I am particularly concerned about the present and the future. In the past, I wasn't an active player, but now I have the chance to do the right thing and make a change even when it doesn't go the way I want, I will say frankly to myself that I have done my own. Our parents were indifferent because of their sentiments and other reasons best known to them as at that time, we are still suffering from that indifference up till today. WHAT WILL WE TELL OUR CHILDREN? My sister(?), I see you as a truthful person, listen to your heart and please don't be swayed by emotions around. It is time for you and I to do something about the progress of our country. Will we rise up to the occasion? NIGERIA IS NOT FINISHED, NIGERIA IS NOT DEAD, NIGERIA SHALL BE GREAT AGAIN. I'll definitely play my role to make it envy of all nations in the world. May you find peace of mind in whatever you believe. Thanks |
Someone asked from Twitter about his disposition to Shariah He said that he had answered so much questions on Shariah particularly with the Christian communities he had met. He said that the Constitution is supreme and any other law will have cannot compare with it. He said the issue of Shariah as contained in the Constitution is limited to inheritance, marriage and other civil matters. He said that Shariah is just like the normal Customary court that deal with the culture of the people. He concluded the question by saying that anybody who wants more or less from Shariah will have to tamper with the constitution first. |
Ladies and Gentlemen. Greatest Nigerian Youths! "The future of any nation lies in the development of its youth". Let me start by commending our efforts in trying to salvage our country. It is no news that we believe that our country Nigeria is in bad shape. We all feel it and our leaders have also acknowledge it. My message here is to you out there. I want each and every one of us to be objective and sane in our thoughts. We should know that we are reaping what our fathers have sown for us in the past. Now my question is what are we sowing for the generation that will come after us? Remember that we may be forgiven for not taking the right action, but history will not forgive us for not taking any action at all. If you feel that Nigeria is okay as it is now, fine please don't crucify others who believe otherwise. And if at the same time, you are one of the people that believe that something is not right with our country, please don't shout down others who think otherwise. We can't see things the same way even from the same prism. There are always two sides to a coin! Nature abhors homogenuity. That is why there are ups and downs, cold and hot, winter and summer, raining and dry, good and bad, death and birth, givers and takers, valleys and mountains. We can't have it the same ways always. One thing I'm most certain about is that even during the struggle for our country's independence, there were certain people that would have thought that it was an effort in futility. Those who believed in it fought for it and were able to achieve it. So because you are on one side today does not mean you can't be on the other side tomorrow. My great people, what matters most is our conviction. If your conscience tells you that in all honesty you are doing the right thing, please go on. However, if on the other hand, you are acting contrary to your conscience, kindly find your way back and do what is right. Please my people, enough of name-callings and hatred. Let's leave a worthy legacy for our children. I'm not worry about myself anymore because I've seen to a large extent what the life can offer. But I'm worried about the future of my children who will take over from me. WHAT WILL I TELL THEM WHEN THEY ASK ME WHAT DID I DO TO PROTECT THEIR FUTURE? This election is not about PDP/APC, GEJ/GMB, South/North, East/West, Christians/Muslims. It's about the Nigerian people holding their leaders to account. Let the people of Nigeria voice out their pleasure and displeasure, and please don't vilify others who don't see it the way you see it. Fellow Nigerians, whether GEJ wins or loses, GMB wins or loses, what I know and I'm very sure of is that all of us will one way or the other will be held responsible for the choices we will make on the 28th of March this year and live with the consequences for the rest of our lives. NIGERIA SHALL BE GREAT AGAIN AND I WILL BE A PART OF IT. |
