PoliticsRe: Intersociety Replies To BBC Inquiries On Alleged Genocide In Nigeria, Says…. by reality1010: 11:04pm On Apr 07
HacheNoire:
I have been observing a trend of late.

They no longer call it a Christian genocide and only call it genocide.

The backlash they cannot handle and the propaganda is already crumbling.

We have terrorism problem. Not a genocide.

Never have I read that the terrorists separated Christian’s from Muslims and traditionalist before wrecking havoc.

We all could remember those days when mosques were being blown up. I stand to be corrected, on a Muslim festive period, the prayer ground was blown up. I think that should be under the GEJ or Yar Adua administration.

We all moved on and still trying to combat the terrorist. October 2025, all years of terrorism in Nigeria was summed up to be a “Christian Genocide” right in the faces of people like us conversant with history.
The moslem North that denies Christian genocide is only giving support to the continous killing in the north. It's unfortunate that opinion leaders even those who claim they have spoken shamefully on this issue. One funny guy spoke on Al Jazeera denying Christian genocide but acknowledged that these groups are killing people. These terrorists have committed crime against humanity, war crime and genocide. The Christian genocide of it is because they use Islamic ideology to kill Christians. If you say there is also genocide against moslems by the terrorists that is left for you but the reality is that there is Christian genocide because they target Christians using Islamic idealogy, therefore there is Christian genocide, war crime and crime against humanity which these people have committed. If the energy that these people are using to speak against Christian genocide is channeled towards the evil committed by these terrorists, by now the killings would have ended. But they chose to speak anyhow while the killings are going on.
PoliticsFCT Magistrate Court Grants Bail To Defendant In Alleged Forgery And Defamation by reality1010(op): 6:27pm On Mar 08
A Magistrate Court sitting at Wuse Zone 2 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, on Thursday, March 6, 2026, granted bail to a defendant who is standing trial over allegations of forgery, defamation of character, criminal intimidation and injurious falsehood involving an ambassador.

The defendant, Liman Victor Liman, was brought before the court following allegations that he was involved in the falsification of certain documents and the publication of statements considered defamatory.

During the proceedings, the prosecutor, D.F. Abah, informed the court that the defendant is being prosecuted under Sections 364, 366, 397, 392 and 393 of the Penal Code Act, which relate to offences such as forgery, falsification of documents and other related allegations.

When the charges were read in court, the defendant pleaded not guilty to all the allegations.

Following the plea, defence counsel A.O. Igeh and A.D. Ameachi applied for bail on behalf of their client. The defence team told the court that the defendant is prepared to cooperate fully with the judicial process and will appear before the court whenever required.

After hearing submissions from both the prosecution and the defence, the court granted the defendant bail in the sum of ₦2 million on self-recognition, pending the determination of the case.

The court subsequently adjourned the matter until April 9, 2026, when the hearing is expected to continue.

Legal analysts say the case will allow the court to examine the allegations and determine whether the prosecution can establish the claims made against the defendant.
PoliticsIyaloja Present As FG Inaugurates Textile Steering Committee by reality1010(op): 2:19pm On Mar 08
March 5, 2026, has been described as a historic day for Nigeria’s industrial development as key stakeholders especially the Iyaloja General of Nigeria and others gathered in Abuja for the inauguration of the Textile Steering Committee (TSC) for the establishment of the Cotton, Textile and Garment Development Board (CTGDB).

The inauguration ceremony took place at the Conference Room of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), marking a major step toward reviving Nigeria’s once-thriving textile industry.

The development is seen as a significant milestone in the effort to reposition the Cotton, Textile and Garment (CTG) sector, which was once one of Nigeria’s largest employers and a major contributor to the nation’s economy.

A Strategic Move to Revive the Textile Industry

Speaking during the event, the Coordinator of the Cotton, Textile and Garment Development Forum (CTGDF), Chief Anibe Achimugu, explained that the proposed Cotton, Textile and Garment Development Board would serve as a central platform to coordinate and drive the revival of the sector.

According to him, Nigeria cannot rebuild the CTG sector through fragmented interventions and short-term policy fixes.

“The logic behind the Cotton, Textile and Garment Development Board is straightforward. Nigeria cannot sustainably rebuild the CTG sector through fragmented interventions, disconnected responsibilities and short-term fixes,” he said.

Achimugu noted that previous interventions by government agencies often faced challenges such as poor coordination, lack of continuity and weak policy implementation.

He explained that the proposed Board would serve as a national value-chain integrator responsible for aligning policy, investment, incentives and standards across the entire CTG ecosystem.

Challenges Facing the Sector

Stakeholders acknowledged that the sector has struggled for decades due to several structural challenges.

These include low productivity, weak input systems, high energy and logistics costs, obsolete industrial capacity, smuggling and unfair import pressures, as well as limited access to long-term finance.

Achimugu also highlighted the absence of an accountable delivery platform with clear targets and measurable outcomes as a major challenge.

However, he expressed confidence that the establishment of the CTG Development Board would help mobilise investment, boost industrial growth, create jobs and reduce Nigeria’s dependence on textile imports.

Journey to the Establishment of the Board

The initiative to establish the Board began in April 2021 when stakeholders in the CTG sector met at Chelsea Hotel in Abuja to deliberate on strategies for reviving the industry.

At the meeting, Achimugu was endorsed as the Coordinator of the Cotton, Textile and Garment Development Forum (CTGDF), which subsequently championed the proposal for the creation of the development board.

On January 8, 2022, the Forum formally wrote to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation proposing the establishment of the board.

Further consultations and engagements followed over the next few years, including meetings with government officials and policy advisers.

The proposal gained major traction when it was presented to the National Economic Council (NEC) on April 24, 2025, where it received unanimous endorsement.

Government Support and Political Will

Stakeholders at the event commended the strong political support behind the initiative, particularly from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, and Nigeria’s Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima.

Their leadership and commitment, stakeholders said, played a crucial role in pushing the proposal through key government channels.

The initiative is also aligned with the economic reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on revitalising local industries, creating jobs and boosting domestic production.

Focus on Job Creation and Economic Growth

In his remarks, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation emphasised that the establishment of the board goes beyond economic policy.

He described it as a national mission aimed at tackling unemployment, empowering entrepreneurs and strengthening Nigeria’s industrial base.

“Government’s decision to establish the Board is not merely an economic agenda; it is equally a social mission—creating jobs for our teeming youths, empowering women entrepreneurs, stimulating rural development and ultimately reducing poverty,” he said.

The SGF also outlined the terms of reference for the Steering Committee and directed members to submit their report within four weeks.

The committee is chaired by the Permanent Secretary of the Political and Economic Affairs Office in the OSGF, with Chief Anibe Achimugu serving as coordinator.

Key Stakeholders in Attendance

The inauguration ceremony attracted major players across the Cotton, Textile and Garment value chain.

Among those present were the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, who described Nigeria's market as a great segment for domestic cotton, textile and garment production. She assured everyone of her commitment to reviving the sector for job creation for Nigerian youths. Also present are representatives of cotton growers, ginners associations, textile manufacturers, garment producers, labour unions and relevant government agencies.

Industry experts believe that if properly implemented, the new initiative could help restore Nigeria’s textile sector to its former glory and position the country as a competitive player in the global textile market

Don't bring marrying Igbo ladies to this because they do that because Igbo ladies are beautiful and they want their blood to have handsome and beautiful kids.

Marrying Igbo lady never stopped them from hating omo Igbos they were taught.

As for Igbo Men not marrying Yorubas girls, tell us why Igbos will leave their beautiful ladies that even Yorubas are dying to have, then go marry a yoruba girl.

As for your claim for accommodating Igbos, how exactly are you accommodating Igbos?
Which one is accommodation? Some took up a place you defacate, develop it and you came asking for all manner of money from him. Is that accommodation.
Someone you gave a house at exorbitant price and you still come every time asking for advance payment when the two years he paid has not e even near half. How are you accommodating him? In your house he is the first person you call like a First Aid Box when you don't have food to feed your family or money to attend party or buy clothes, or do your child's graduation from apprenticeship.
Who is helping who? The Igbo man or person is the Yorubas First Aid Box.
Even at that you killed the during election and burned their investment just because they refused to vote your candidate.

You're just a deluded person and all this write up says a lot about all the misconceptions you have about the yoruba race.
You know very well Igbos will not tell their daughters not to marry anyone if not for the behavior of that person.
Once a Yoruba man who marries igbo woman get successful, the Yorubas will begin to plot against the igbo woman. They make the igbo woman to cultivate the habit of fighting for her right.
In Igbo, once you are married it is between you and your wife.
Yorubas should learn to live with others.

If yoruba has traditional hatred of Igbo according to you, tell us why India, Cambodia, Indonesia, Ghana, south Africa etc also hate Igbos? Why are other tribes in Nigeria not saying Yoruba hates them traditionally since Yorubas accommodate all tribes together? Does your victimization syndrome not pointing to your own wickedness that you should examine?
You must be on drugs to think that other nationals hate Igbos. Why don't you call Britons, Americans, Germans, French. You forgot to mention your Ghana.
Yoruba hatred of other tribes is indisputable. In Lagos, Were are the Ijaws and their properties? Were are the Benis and their properties?
Do you know the number of times Yorubas fought the Hausa fulanis in Lagos, the Ijaws and Igbos?
How many tribes have these people I mentioned fought in their places?
Yorubas ungratefulness to the Igbos is wickedness and evil after all that the Igbos have done to the Yorubas.
Igbos took up swamp areas abandoned by Yorubas, they developed these places only for Yorubas to come in to claim all manners of dues. The Yoruba attitude is the same with the Palestians who abandoned undeveloped land but when the jews took up the place and develop it, they will turn back to claim the land.
Yoruba ungratefulness to the Igbos who helped them train their children in schools, provide money for feeding and clothes. The Igbos you abuse and hate are feeding and taking care of many Yoruba families and they don't complain.
Many of the Yoruba girls abandoned by their parents live by what is provided by the Igbos.
Igbos assist when their children want to do graduation from apprenticeship. Igbos give money for child naming, parents burials and travel fare.
Even at that once the igbo man or boy buys a car house rent increases. Most houses in Lagos were completed with advance payments from the same Igbos. The same Igbos pay Yorubas house rent far ahead even for his unborn child because the Yoruba man pleaded for money. Even at that you hate and feel jealous of him.
Igbos are living everywhere in Nigeria and peaceful but in Lagos Yoruba hatred is something else.
No man develope with such hatred but by learning to learn from the developed one.

The reality is there. Yorubas havea traditional hatred on the Igbos no matter what you say. They beleive Igbos are born to rule them. They see the Igboman as a whiteman that comes to take what belong to them. Unfortunately alot of Yorubas forget the helps that the Igboman has given to them. Lots of Igbos will not want to join issues online because but the reality is that Igbos have helped the Yorubas alot. The Lagos they talk about was developed by the Igbos, Ijaws, and benis. While so many Yorubas were in their villages Igbos took up swamps and turned them in civilized and habitable cities to the admiriation of the Yorubas only for them to turn around to use evil means to collect these properties.
I can remember the many Yorubas that Igbos are training in schools, feeding their families, giving money for their children graduation from apprenticiship, giving money for them to do partyies for child namings and burials or attend friends parties.Igbos dont say all these. How about the money they get from Igbos to complete houses. We can go on and on without end. Yorubas out of envy have ventured into Igbos businesses thinking the success is by presence, at the end they will pull out. Check it from printing in Mushin, shomolu to meat and iron businesses name them.
Yorubas feel Igbos have money no matter what.
Yorubas have pushed this tribalism to huasa and fulanis who do okada business in lagos. if they have their ways they will reduce the number of the hausas and fulanis who do this business.
No matter what they do the Igboman will not retreat rather he will move deeper southwest to uncover more ground. the igboman is a global player, someone who sees opportunities where others dont see, and he lives peacefully with his hosts and contribute to the developemnt of his host. Others are not like that. even in marriage, a Yoruba girl married in igbo land is loved. She is welcomed and even rises to the highest echelon in Igbo women meetings. but if a yoruba man marries an igbo girl, yoruba girl will want to die of jealousy. That is when some of them will see him as a boy friend sleeping around with him in the name of "broda mi".
Yorubas must understand that God cannot create everyone the same and you can not sustain your life with hatred and cheat on your fellow human. So many tribes complain of Yoruba tribalism and it is very bad. We must learn to learn from what makes others thick and not to use evil means to defraud what belong to them.

Igbo girls marry who ever loves them, they cannot be stopped by their parents. How many Yorubas girls marry outside their tribe? it is difficult. Fear of insecurity and hatred affect them alot.

Abike is the real symbol of Yorubalism. Those of you Yorubas that condemned the act only did that without your true consciouness of omoluwabi, the moment that consciousness came up, you will cross carpet, deny, and change. In a Yoruba man, there is that consciousness factor of yorubalism which must be on display. The conciousness knows no integrity or honesty when it aroses. Check the Yorubas even on national issues, they may take a position but when that consciousness comes it is the other way.

Trump was the biggest opposition to the candidacy of NOI as DG WTO. As a matter of fact, Okonjo Iweala wouldn't have been elected the DG World Trade Organization if he had not lost to Biden just a few weeks before.

What would the return of Trump mean for the reelection of Madam Okonjo for a second term and by extension to Nigeria being the holder to the seat?.
Trump will come with a different outlook from what he professed previously. Okonjo Iweala is not the problem of Trump but China's trade style which negates the principle of the WTO. The truth is that what China is doing today was what US did at her ealier days of development, breaking trade rules etc. Trump has blocked the appointment of a US representative at the Appelate Body of WTO which Biden upheld. When Biden came in he presented us with a mild trade policy but few months to the election, he brought back all the tariffs and qoutas that Trump placed on China. NOI reelection is not the issue. Trump must disregard WTO to go on protectionism to once again develop America and come back with a NEW WOlrd ORDER tp sell to the world.

At least Christianity is clear. It's common sense to know pastors who follow the bible and those who follow their desire.

I'm a Christian yet I've argued against tithe as mandatory for salvation on this forum for years as far back as 2012. It's now Nigerian Christians are beginning to wake up including Pastors to the reality of tithe.

But wait oo! Who did bewitch you people into believing that payment of tithe will take you to heaven?
Tithe is obligatory but it does not take you to heaven just like alms giving cannot take you to heaven. The only thing that can take you to heaven is true and genuine repentance and believing in Jesus Christ, confess your sins and follow Him.
Christianity is the truth. U can either embrace it or leave it.

This baffles me a lot, how someone who claims to be reasonable would want another reasonable fellow to greet a Cultist, an Athiest, free thinker etc. If Obi should do that he will lose confidence from so many Nigeria who believe in him. There are thousands of families that have lost their children, brothers and loved ones to cultistism. Cultism is still a bad taste to us ravaging our schools. How can i celebrate such a person? God forbid.
PoliticsAEDC Selling Fake Electricity Tariff To People by reality1010(op): 9:18pm On Jul 05, 2024
Despite the hardship being faced by ordinary Nigerians , it has become compounded by the AEDC who sell fake electricity tariff to residents of Kubwa in FCT. After buying electricity tariff, when you load it on your prepaid meter it will not load. When you take your complain to AEDC office, they will dismantle your prepaid meter, take it to their office for repair,at the end of the repair your prepaid will be consuming high electricity unit. This is the new method that AEDC is using to cheat people in Kubwa. Almost half of the residents in kubwa have fallen victim of this evil machination by the AEDC. Kubwa residents are afraid of purchasing electricity unit. The AEDC is using the issue to adjust people's prepaid meters so that it will be consuming more units.

Honestly i pity this generation of Nigeria. They are so proud to legalise crime, corruption, criminality and evils. Election that was bought with dollars is being defended by Nigerians even when people are coming out to say their parts and what they knew about the election. Anyone accessing the last election with credibility is a criminal peroid.

I Hope Peter Obi Doesn’t Contest Next Presidential Election, His Team Is Incompetent To Lead Nigeria —Wole Soyinka

https://saharareporters.com/2024/05/23/i-hope-peter-obi-doesnt-contest-next-presidential-election-his-team-incompetent-lead#google_vignette
It is unfortunate that people who do PR for Prof Wole Sonyinka dont advice him well. Since Jonathan era his fame and popularity has gone down. He was used in bringing the previous govt into power and i think the people in the North will not forgive because the volume of killings in the North has been alarming since 2015.
Also, the Prof was messed up in the 2023 election for his position and having promised to assess this govt after one year, he has failed to do that, instead he turned to attacking Obi forgetting the suffering and hardship Nigerians are facing. A tuber of yam is N3,000, pepper is now sold per single, Nigerians are eating from th dustbin to survive.
Also it is shameful that the Professor was happy with the election rigging by APC. At his age, he felt happy with it. He never condemned it.
My verdict is that the Prof. lacks any moral attitude to be emulated by anyone especially our youths. Of course it is not a new issue because from his days in the university he lacks it.
Better he lies low to save his old age because Nigeria can not learn hooliganism now.

Yoruba men are pathetic cowards. It's only their women that have some level of balls. Pathetic cowards Yoruba men.
Yorubas struggles are led by their women, so dont underrate her.
On the other hand, the event is a ticket to second term by the administration.
The North will be jittering that the Southwest wants to join Biafrans and secceed. The North will out of fear support Tinubu for second term.
The event is a political game plan.

Remember that during party primary for the election in 2023, Yoruba Nation youths moved from one school to another campaigning for the secession of Southwest from Nigeria. The campaign was so high that school authorities in Southwest gave this group platform to conscientize the people. After the Yorubas won the election that struggle went low.

Also recall, that when APC was in one of the court and the possibility of cancelling the election due to failure to win the FCT, the APC lawyer made a statement that crisis will erupt if the election is cancelled against the APC winner.
Common sense knows that is a threat to the North.

For, now the declaration by Mrs Abiola is a ticket for second term.
The North will back out to sponsor or support any candidate against the incumbent.

Yes, not happening in the SW even with all the massive infiltration and integration due to the open, jovial, accommodating and progressive nature of the amiable and blessed people who own the region.
De there! Already about six people were killed who engaged the security operatives in shoot out to retain control of Oyo Governemnet House.
Under Sunday Igboho some numbers were killed as well.
So stop masturbating.
