havilla:Do you have both? |
All these recent talk from various quarters including Gadarffi for Nigeria to break into 'two' as got me thinking, Eastern and Western appears to be very tolerant of each other and better integrated socially, culturally and physically (if you know what I mean). So my question is; should Nigeria break up what do you think is the chance of the entire Southern Nigeria staying together? Would you support such a union or advocate for further split? |
MrPrsdent:Mr President, easy now. Some threads are good for their entertaining and comical value, gives me something to ease out stress at work. |
@ Platinumnk , thanks so much. I use a SE X1 and I've downloaded an app call Sbp Screenshot. Trying to use it now, so here goes,

The judge might as well tell people not to breathe. |
@ Semid4lyfe and Platinumnk, how do you obtain screen shots from your mobile? I've always wondered how it's done, |
sulad82i:Where is that idiot Sulad82i? |
"Daily Trust learnt that Yar’adua received several visiting family members, close friends, some political associates, some state governors and also some personal staff" None of the visitors have names? Hoax joor. |
I know a Naija guy who got divorced about 3 years ago in the UK. His wife took the two kids and the house. Plus she gets him to send monthly up keep money and stresses him for so many other things. The guy was recently discovered dead in his house 3 months after he died, he died of an apparent heart attack (dude was less than 40 yrs) and no one knew he was dead in the flat for close to 3 months. I'm not saying his wife killed him but the general conception from all his that toil of the divorce and his ex-wife's constant nagging plus the fact that she took almost everything contributed to his demise. |
@ Tonye-t, it appears you read everything up-side down and make insane inferences cos I honestly don't understand your point anymore. |
Tonye-t, you say and I quote "Adeboye keeps silent ya'll will go spreading sarcasm against him, now he's made a prophecy and we all go on making mockeries." Please state the predictions/prophecies and tell whether they are vague or precise? That's what this is thread is about, making general statements and calling them prophecies. |
Tonye-t:@ Tonye-t, the sin being committed is people not using their heads and swallowing the cock n bull stories of these so called men of God. See where religion has gotten us to in this country, almost at the brink of a religious war. I pray we don't get there. Oya, make your predictions jor. |
I was just reading a post and interesting discussions about the predictions of Pastor Adeboye. I personally have always thought his predictions (and generally all pastors perdictions) are vague and too broad. For example, everybody knows natural disasters happen every year so what's the point of making predicting that there will be natural disasters. Pastor Adeboye (or any man of God out there), kindly predict the date and location of the next earthquake, flood, mudslide, mass killing, etc else we can all claim to be prophets. Matter of predict the assasination of a sitting president, then you'll have my attention. Until then, I hereby embark on a prophecy/prediction spree; 1. Yaradua will pass on before the end of this year. 2. Goodluck Jonathan will be empowered as president but only for a short while (get it, less than 4 years - duh) 3. Lagos State Governorship elections next will be keenly contested 4. The Conversative party will win the UK general election but marginally and the Lib Dems will come 3rd 5. In the US Congress Elections this year, the Repbulicans will gain some seats in the lower and upper house 6. And just coming to me from the almighty, a well known man of God will pass away this year. Check back this topic on 31/12/10 to see that my predictions (and yours) that have come to past. |
@ AqRiUs Age, you are sure correct she didn't understand. She didn't talk to for ages. But now, we talk once in a while. I glad she's married to someone else with kids. |
Knew that if I married her I would make her life really miserable because I didn't love her as much as she loved me. I knew that further down the line things would get messy and horrible, so because of my love for her, I broke off the relationship. |
Dude, get a grip, there's no such thing as spanish fly. |
This thread reminds me of when I was dating my wife, I had pictures of other ex-girlfriends; physical and on my phone. One day, she sat down and deleted (and tore) all of them. I was really pissed and didn't speak to her for a few days but the deed had been done. However, from that day on (4 years ago), I knew the relationship was serious and never looked back since then. @ Poster, do the same thing. Coming from a guy, sometimes I think men like to be given ultimatums before they buckle up. |
@ Topic, which one? - Crazy - Nice - Young - Bushie - Virgin - Tattoo-freak - Bootycall - Unforgetable - Irritant - Oh-my-gosh |
For 1190 and 1191 reasons, this has become my favorite thread on NL. Eat shit Karo93, |
Next season, Liverpool will get 946 or 947 points. |
Anybody out there trying out Google Buzz, specially the version for Google Maps? I believe the application has a lot of potentials. |
chrisagabs:@ Poster, you can add him on Facebook and control the information and access he has to your FB profile. There are profiles/settings you can create for certain category of friends and share limited details with them. If you still have any other reason for not adding him, I guess I may have to agree with other replies on this thread that maybe you still have feelings for him. |
This is a thread I'll be checking every 390 or 391 hours, |

The father of a little Chinese boy who spends all day chained to a lamppost, insists he has no choice. A photo of the child caused widespread outrage after it was published in papers around the world recently. But the boy's father says his wife is sick and has to leave the boy alone while he works. He chains him up to keep him safe after his older sister was kidnapped. His father says he keeps the chain loose and the boy never complains. It's estimated some 200,000 children go missing in China every year. http://www.scoop.co.nz/multimedia/tv/world/32212.html http://www.skynews.com.au/world/article.aspx?id=425399 |
To which I may also ask, how in hell post/topics make front page on Nairaland? |
vivaladiva:Quite frankly, I really don't have anything to hide but privacy (both mine and others whom I communicate with online) should be considered. Imagine if say a friend (male or female regardless) sends me a message about his/her problem expecting only me to read it but my spouse also reads it; wouldn't be a breach of trust? |
In married relationships, should partners let each other know their passwords (i.e. for Facebook, Emails, Twitter, MySpace, Nairaland, etc) or should privacy be maintained? I'm for the later (not sharing) and my partner feels otherwise. I know trust issues may come into play but I ultimately believe that there are somethings one has to keep private, even from your spouse. What are your thought? |
