The most recent student application we submitted received a final decision before the medical and biometric processes, yet we haven't received a decision record to date.
Wow, that's cold. |

AussieJoan:
1a. Sometimes biometrics get updated quickly and other times it doesn't. Give it 24 to 48hrs. 1b. Yes, it's because of your biometrics.
2. Technically yes, although there's no harm in attaching a health insurance certificate if you have one. Okay. Thanks so much. I really appreciate your response. |

AussieJoan:
Most applications can take upwards of 2 months to be processed. Please AussieJoan, is it normal that I did my biometrics yesterday at 2pm and it hasn't been updated yet. Then in my profile, I can see "attach documents" with the general advise to go through the document checklist and then the "I confirm I have uploaded the required documents" under. Is this because of my pending biometrics. Then is it true that my Coe carrying details of my health insurance is sufficient as proof of insurance and that I don't need the health insurance certificate? I will really be grateful if you can share your thoughts about this please. |

NB1912:
1 year course fee (excluding deposit) + 1 year Living expenses + flight ticket. Use google rate for conversion.
e.g Let's say my tuition fee for 2 years program is $80,000 Here is how my POF will look like;
First semester deposit to pay = $20,000
POF to show will be the following;
1 year of remaining program fee = $40,000 1 year living expenses = $24,505 Flight ticket = $3,000 Total POF = $67,500 (when converted to Naira using current google rate of N989.20) = N66,770,947
I hope this helps. Cheers! Please can we use dollar/dom account for POF? |

Tonyferrad: The requirements they sent before the application,they specified the ones that should be certified by a notary public and it included WAEC cert, NYSC cert which I didn’t even submit because I just concluded the service ,birth cert,passport ,Transcript then the whole sponsors means of identificationincluding his passport and proof of relationship, means of income . All were certified . Other documents but not certified includes: Yellow card, 3months account statement of mine which I just gave them my NYSC 33k account because I told them I was still serving and that’s my work, then Employment letter(NYSC call up letter )Recommendation letter from my principal , Statement of Purpose, Recent CV, Details of family members and finally the property documents. I just submitted all that they listed in the about to lodge requirements and they only contacted us a week ago to upload the full pages of the Yellow card which we did and the grant came in today. . Thanks so much for your detailed response. |

Tonyferrad: You mean the notary public certification ? Yes, notary public. And some people say they also certify in Court. So I just wanted to know if it is compulsory or one just has to scan the original copies of necessary documents to apply for the visa. |

sirrotex: Here is a feedback on my experience traveling to Cotonou and Togo. I left on the 19th of December. From mile 2, I entered a cab to Seme boarder for 3k. I would advise you to have your international passport because immigration extorted those who did not have. The cab stopped me at conoil. From Conoil, I walked to the seme boarder, went through port health,they asked for my Yellow card which I gave them, from there to Ndlea. The guy at Ndlea just looked at my passport and said because of my extensive travel experience he would not search me. From there I went to stamp my passport at immigration. The officer was polite, stamped the passport and asked for 1k. I told him that I had traveled extensively and no where in the world have I been asked to pay to get my passport stamped. He then let me go but told me, I would have to pay at the Benin immigration. At the Benin immigration, those without passport paid money and crossed freely. I gave the immigration officer my passport then the problem started, he said I was to pay 2k. I told him I don't have, he asked if I didn't pay at the Nigerian side and I told him I did not. I also told him to confirm from the Nigeria Immigration. After some delay he stamped my passport into Benin Republic. I had changed money in Lagos, so I didn't have any need to change money, I would also advise intending travellers to change their money in Lagos as the rates are better. From there I entered a Taxi to Togo for 7k CFA. At the Hillcondji boarder was where my problem started. Those guys couldn't not speak English or pretended not to be able to, so we did not understand each other. After much delay and due to the people I was delaying in the cab. I paid 2k CFA on the Benin Republic exit and 2k on the Lome entry. I took a picture of the immigration police at the Benin Republic boarder and would take him up. Coming back, I paid 1k each at the Lome and happy Benin Boarder and also 1k to the Benin exit immigration. The Nigerian guy that stamped me in did not ask for a dime though I gave him 1k in the spirit of Christmas. This is my first experience crossing the border and hope it will get better as time progresses. As for the guy that I took his picture, I am processing my petition to their police commissioner. I hope this helps someone Thank so much. It helps. Please at what rate did you change in Lagos, an where? Then what's the rate at the border? Thank you. |
