We must reengineered our approach to get the nod of the populace; a plea I hold firm with, and it seems really showing a greenlight considering developments for the past few days. Things has glaringly start changing for our good and the spread is becoming visible. This is basically what we need to prioritize for long, and we would have been relaxing and dining already with a spontaneous meal of victory in anticipation. Indeed, power genuinely belongs to the people. Having the masses as your support base is a sine qua non for an undeniable edge over an opponent. Hence, romancing with them at all time becomes imminent. As at today, I can statistically analyze the validity of our chances in some local governments with a clear indication of meeting up with the constitutional requirements: Lokoja the state capital is getting clearer for us with 75% affirmative. Developments from Dekina local government looks promising and I think we are good to go. Ofu local government seems to be on the side of history knowing fully well it produces the Deputy Governorship Candidate and the Honourable Minister who doubled as Director General of the campaign organization. Ankpa local government looks bright too. We are really making a wave over there, and I think keeping the temple running will lighten up our prospect. This assertion is factual, and it reflects the true state of things. Be that as it may, we must further enhance our vigor by putting more efforts to widen up our chances. All hail the state government for the equitable, just and transparent distribution of our palliatives. While pundits may read political meanings to it, I will say, it's laudable, commendable and life-touching. As we keenly keep pace with developments, it is my utmost believe that our leaders will keep changing the game for the victory we so desire. COMR. JEGEDE ABDUL AZEEZ ONOTU .......Write from lokoja |

The attempt by some people to foist Igala agenda in the ongoing electioneering campaign for the November Governorship election has been rejected by communities in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi state. Residents of Anguwar Ogebe in Ankpa metropolis have pledged their unwavering support for the candidate of APC, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, they described as a trusted and dependable politician from the Central Senatorial district of the state. A prominent leader of the area and an APC stalwart and the Rector, Kogi state Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Salisu Usman Ogbo, staged a roadshow in support of the APC Governorship candidate, at Ankpa, to counter the unholy and divisive indoctrination of the people by the proponents of Igala political agenda. people of Anguwar Ogebe, comprising four autonomous communities made the rejection on Saturday during the roadwalk and special prayers organised by Professor Usman Ogbo, held at the main area of Angwar Ogebe in Ankpa metropolis. Addressing APC supporters, Professor Ogbo, charged contestants for leadership positions in the state to test their popularity from their polling units, wards, and local Government areas and not to bother the electorate with their ethnic agenda that has no direct impact on their livelihoods. According to Ogbo, it has become incumbent on him to guide the people on the Kogi state agenda that has brought transformation to their communities, pointing out the advent of APC has placed him in a key position in the administration. He revealed that for the first time they began to get the dividend of democracy as against the successive administrations led by Igala sons who deliberately abandoned them, with no social and economic opportunities. He stressed that an agenda should be geared towards provision of socio economic amenities and inclusiveness of the entire people in running the affairs of the state, religions, ethnicity, creed and status not withstanding. He explained that right from his youthful age in the community, encouragement of his mates to embrace Western Education even together with Islamic education has been his major concern. The renown School administrator, however warned against coming with the divisive and retrogressive Igala agenda, insisting that the only agenda acceptable should be the one that can put food and other essentials of development on the table. He promised to continue to mobilise his people to vote en mass for APC, Ahmed Usman Ododo and his Deputy Joel Oyibo, insisting that his party would win with a landslide at the polls. He warned those who would want to use the forthcoming election to cause violence to desist as the ancestors are at work to reward them with their evil machinations https://globaltimesnigeria.com/kogi-guber-communities-reject-ethnicity-igala-agenda-campaigns-for-apcs-ododo/

By: Jegede Abdul Azeez Onotu It is residual for us to note that the coming election is not an easyride for our party and our candidate, hence, let's wake up from our slumber, eschew hate, embrace unity and colossally embark on a vigorous campaign. Perhaps, I understand that the rodents always develop peripheral interest as seen in the 2023 general election. Therefore, my plea is not meant for all but for those who might choose to listen. It is high time we stop hiding on our shells to throw tantrums, faulting the gladiators and lamenting on how you felt it should be handled, rather, let's come out and speak if we genuinely love the party and our candidate to record a resounding victory at the poll come November 11th 2023. It is imperative for us to underscore and digest the dynamics of this coming election, and also relate it with the last general elections. This will help to shape our thoughts and sharpening our minds as to the approach we need to take. No doubt, the political actors with their campaign of colony has successfully divide the state along ethnic line, and it will definitely have a monumental impact on the possible outcome of the election. The masses should hence be the priority. let's take campaigns to their door steps and let's give sufficient reasons why we should remain in the dynasty of new direction government. All hands must be on desk to pinpoint those with frivolities and attach recognitions to those that has political insights. I believe this will go a long way to help. The eye-service politicians who has taken Abuja as their indigent home with zero political relevance at their domain should be noted. They failed us in the last election and they will fail us again! May APC succeed! |

Losing promising young guys to the recklessness of truck driver is disheartening and sorrowful. Such is the state of FUTminna since morning where students have to block the road, beat the hell out of the driver, handle him to police, construct bumps over the roads and restricting movements. We have have to contend with policemen who think holding guns is enough to scare us away when everybody dy ginger. #Futmxboils# |
