Namzy: ![]() Can I see a snapshot of the track info..? What's the code? "NNI"? |
Namzy:Chatted their customer care. It'll soon... They're still setting up the office. |

valarinz:I did not experience this while on stock rom tho & I am not sure if it will help but toggle off the sunlight mode as Genius43 said and see if you have a positive result |
valarinz:Lol.. Welcome to Xiaomi's overly accentuated colour Gamut. It's a bit far from realistic. It's not just the Camera - the entire display colour is affected (take another look, you'll notice) Again, they tried to advance stuff, but end up messing it up...as always. The issue is exclusive to their Amoled range, it seems. You notice the intense unrealistic colours (especially the REDS) while viewing just about anything on the screen.. Insta, FB, your gallery etc. Most people won't notice this because people barely consider display colour..Perfectionists & colour-sensitive users would EASILY notice. Good news is, it's solvable . Just a little bit of tweak on your display "color scheme" using the "advanced" option will make it better or you can apply nuclear option, which is to flash any good custom ROM.. Flashing an AOSP- based would be nice as it uses Google's original (stock) colour Gamut, which is by far the best in terms of realism IMO. |
nongo123:Very |
GrandMufti:RN3? Really? The developer must be supremely experienced & very good. And so I agree, but partially. I've tried A12 rom from a really good developer (an XDA old timer) on my friend's old Sammy device .. Wasn't so smooth sha.. We didn't even bother trying A13 Eventually ended up with A11 which is far more stable. |

jiggar:@bolded...You are making me remember my baby ![]() Seriously tho... Yeah. Android 13 is available for RN5, but it will be riddled with bugs of unimaginable proportions |
nongo123:Easy bro ![]() |
saint2ace:True, as I've said on this thread years back. The problem tho is the later updates - they tend gradually mess things up.. It's the case with most OEMs. Trying the merge & balance newer android releases with their customised heavily skinned OS is always an issue, it seems. Reason why 90% of users look for custom alternatives - indians, especially. |
nongo123:The bootloader part tho... Ko necessary? ![]() One by one.. d coming back to daddy ![]() Welcome back bro... You really cracked me up with your comment tho ![]() |
OneKinGuy:Agreed bro. Miui 13 is very fluid with some really nice features, but more work needs to be done especially on letting users chose precisely what they want. I mean.... stop forcing stuff down people's throats. How do you explain disabling gestures for all third-party launchers ? Compelling users to stick with Miui launcher if they want gestures? . Not cool. The issue of app activities getting killed off when minimized used to be the case sometimes on Miui 9,10 and even 11...It was fixed in the later versions tho...Never experienced it on 13.That said, Aosp is a big no, personally. Everything from the UI design to the general interface..... just too bland and deflated . Having used the OS years back (not on Xiaomi device), I will pick Oppo's Color OS or even Samsung's One UI over Aosp...easily. But I understand why a lot of people prefer Aosp |
OneKinGuy:Lol. Why quit AOSP bro? ![]() To be very honest tho Miui isn't the greatest OS out there..it seems to be getting worse with every major android update lol, always adding unnecessary stuff & complicating things more in their bid to "advance" the OS. The new miui "sound effects", for instance, is another unnecessary crappy feature which conflicts with in-built equalizers of several music players, making sound output a bit muddy on BT speakers (at least in my own ears). Most audiophiles will notice this. And you can't even turn the feature off. Xiaomi.eu however, try to optimize things, plus they trim off all the bloats..reason why I use as daily driver. Although they retained that ugly sound effects ,but they are still a far better alternative than AOSP, in my books. That said, not sure any OS will ever beat Miui 10 Android 8 (Oreo). They got everything right in there

Hi guys..been a while Just officially saying bye to my ever loyal & reliable servant, the Redmi Note 5 Pro & officially introducing my new beast, the Mi 10 5G.. Xiaomi.eu don dey already .. AOSP guys how go dey go na? Been a while.. ![]()

End of an Era. A Tribute to a Legend & a Warm Welcome to a New Giant ![]() *Long Post* So guys it's been approximately 4yrs since I started this journey with my Redmi Note 5 Pro. I remember the buzz that came with this killer mid-ranger that year just like Redmi Note 10 pro presently, the excitement, anticipation & a lil bit of anxiety having to wait for weeks for the phone to be delivered having ordered from AE. Lol. Well it eventually did & the rest as they say was history. And I tell you what; this machine has been a very good & reliable servant & the thought of upgrading always seemed distant. Arguably the phone with the largest & strongest custom OS support anywhere. As I write, 2 of the main Whyred Telegram channels remains strong with over 5k active subscribers each. In my books, RN5Pro is up there among the greatest smartphones ever made by Xiaomi. Coming from Samsung at the time, it was a bit of uncertainty but I can say my expectations have been considerably exceeded by Xiaomi. I rarely change phones because I don't see the point if your device remains loyal. I set out on a test mission to use my RN5 for 4yrs at least, & today that mission has been fairly accomplished. But then, any upgrade would be subject to how good the deal was ...Never in a haste to discard. And sometime last week, I was able to find that deal. Yeah. What that means is that I've finally bid farewell to my trusted servant & legend - the RN5 Pro. It's an emotional one guys And so guys, it is with honour that I introduce to you my newest servant & beast... Wait for it..... The Mi 10 5G (8/256GB)! I can guess you guys are thinking... what a massive leap from RN5! Lol. Well na long story but, yeah I'm now using a Xiaomi flagship . So far I've been greatly impressed by this super machine; major highlights being the premium design, display quality, super efficient battery, amazing cinematic stereo speakers, chipset & of course the world-class 108MP camera sensor carefully manufactured by Samsung in collaboration with Xiaomi. I think the future looks bright with this smartphone. By now, I know my honourable pals on the Xiaomi Tweaking thread have already guessed it - and yeah, I've had the bootloader already unlocked, the annoying Global rom discarded & Xiaomi.eu rom PERMANENTLY installed (via fastboot) lol. Tell me wetin I go without that ROM.... just tell me ;DPossibly the cleanest/smoothest ROM ever made in the history of android! The decision to go with Mi 10 5G was mostly based on the fact that it met 98% of my ever-dynamic requirements in a smartphone. Plus the deal was a good one IMO. And so, I'm once again resetting the time on this new machine.. Gonna be another 3-4yrs ride, all things being equal. Hoping to terrorize the Photography Thread once again with my new cam. atheistandproud, chariisGRACE & co.... hope say una dey ready? Once I get the time, na serious vawulence oI will end this by thanking my good pal, genius43 for his well-informed pointers prior to this new dev, but more importantly for always being there to assist with knowledgeable responses. Boss I'm always grateful. Special thanks too to Meister for being a reliable & honest dealer. Guys, he actually made this deal possible. The whole thing was super legit, smooth & fast. You can check out his ads for some more seriously reasonable deals. Thanks too to my bro Jboixxx for always being there. The professor. A true gentleman. I hail. Now everyone on this thread is invited to this little celebration, but I no go give anybody shishi, especially for this "top to bottom" era ... not even pure water!.. Just come, take a brief look at the beast & then bye-bye! ![]() Just to put this out there tho; Xiaomi makes superb smartphones. For consumers, sometimes pattern of usage & a bit of research make the difference, but no let anybody deceive you. Use the internet prudently. Cheers!
