mathefaro:Correct. Weeklies, as most developers call it.. They drop virtually EVERY week! |
busuyi44:It's no biggie bro. I flash stables which drop every few months.. Besides, OEM roms (including custom OEM rom like Xiaomi.eu) are very notorious for their larger sizes.. Those Samsung days (TouchWizard then), rom sizes are always from 1.9gb up, no matter what device it is.. This is mostly due to heavy theming/skin and bloatwares.. So it's really nothing new, man... |
busuyi44:Welcome back! Indeed, no place like home In my case it's Xiaomi.eu... Never left home in almost 2 years ![]() |
SmartProf:Bro! ![]() |
mathefaro:Disclaimer? When I clearly stated everything including rom name? I posted the news on "Xiaomi tweaking" and not the main thread... wasn't by accident... It was purely on purpose. |
Hellooooo Note 8 users! The wait is over! ![]() #Xiaomi.eu #Miui12 #Stable #Ginkgo

Kmartt:Okay bro.. |

Sorry to bother you bro does this have optical cable port? Something like this..

Chelsea finishing 4th and trophyless. Manchester United 3rd and still competing for European trophy. Is now the time we all finally agree that United had a better season than Chelsea or will the media still push the Chelsea agenda? BTW Congrats to The Gunners. Thoroughly deserved. Massive respect to Mikel Arteta. |
Olamyyde:Although I'm yet to spot a single bug in my virtually two years of using Xiaomi.eu, most custom roms have bugs which are inherent of their respective rom bases. But Aosp-based roms are evidently buggier. Since the creation of this thread, people have been dropping loads and loads of bug reports. I've equally seen several complaints on different threads online and on Telegram. In most cases, people still come back to Miui. My brother's friend left AOSP November last year after his frustrations with AEX.. He used to love the rom until the rom decided to barb im head Most AOSP roms are far more customizable than miui-based ROMS which explains why lots of persons go for it despite a slightly poorer battery backup. Some of them are quite okay for daily driver TBH. Users endure painful bugs of different forms, but will keep mute about it, just for bragging rights and customization. In the end tho, everything is down to your stroke. Customization over stability ? The decision is yours bro. ![]() |
Olamyyde:Been using Xiaomi.eu for over a year now... Never seen anything like this. From your screenshots, it is apparent that something has been keeping your phone "awake" even when it should be "sleeping", hence the battery drain.. Probably a combination of core system apps.. Not sure. Wait for stable builds if a standard wipe, reinstallation or reboot doesn't solve your problem.....or..... you can join the AOSP wagon.. It's a pretty popular wagon, by the way! ![]() That said, going through some replies after your post, I found it utterly hilarious that some persons have chosen to take this personal given our earlier disagreements on ROM superiority... Another bold testament that some people badly need to grow up, on a more serious note. Xiaomi.eu remains the most stable & cleanest ROM ever!; that's not my opinion only; it is the opinion of hundreds of thousands of users worldwide. Can't wait for the next stable build.. I refresh links twice a day in sheer anticipation ![]() |

NIGERIA CONSIDERING GCE as REPLACEMENT FOR 2020 WASSCE- MINISTER The federal government has said Nigerian students may be asked to sit for the General Certificate Examinations (GCE) holding in November if the country fails to meet up with this year’s timetable for the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The GCE is a private examination which is only offered in November and the results are available by December. The Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, made this known at the bi-weekly Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 meeting on Thursday. The minister explained the shift may become necessary since the WASSCE cannot be rescheduled for any reason. PREMIUM TIMES reported how the Nigerian government reversed its earlier announcement on the resumption of schools. It also said no Nigerian school will participate in the WASSCE earlier scheduled from August 5 to September 5. The decision was made to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among students who usually gather in large numbers during the yearly examination. Also, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and Liberia have begun discussions on postponing the WASSCE. However, Mr Nwajuiba said there was already a negotiated timeline to move local language subjects such as Ibo, Yoruba and Hausa as offered in Nigeria, behind from their usual spots as first written subjects. This is to allow all participating countries the needed time to write the general subjects at the same time if Nigeria is able to meet up with the WAEC timetable. “Nigeria is not moving away from it, the option would have been to go to November to take the GCE external exams. Nigeria is carefully studying that if in the event everything fails, we may go to that,” he said. “In the guideline, there is a checklist of the requirements to be put in place and we have given a cut off date so we can know who needs help,” he said. According to him, “we need to know if the teachers cannot be provided with masks, if the school is unable to do that we need to know ahead because states that have given dates for resumption of schools are setting a timetable along the lines we have already explained and they are free to do this. “Many states have come to say they are unable to meet up with that date that is why the minister requested WAEC give us and the schools some time to meet up,” he said. He said the government will work out a ‘domestication module’ that will take “our peculiar subjects behind after we have done general (subjects). This will buy us the time we need for all of us to be at par with the rest of West Africa and operating at the same time because the unanimity with which WAEC has always worked is still very important to us. “WAEC unfortunately, is unable to wholesomely move the exams but we have also worked out a negotiated timeline with WAEC on what we call peculiar Nigerian subjects. These are subjects that are only held in Nigeria such as Ibo, Hausa, Yoruba. The Ghanaians will take examinations peculiar to them,” he said. busuyi44:Lol.. I'm surprised that you expected customisations.. MIUIMIX is a spitting image of Xiaomi.eu nah... No fancy customization whatsoever... More like a debloated Miui.. But why the fvck am I seeing Chinese inscription on your Bluetooth? Resultant effect of unmodified vendor? Looks so out of place ![]() Thanks for your review tho.. |
busuyi44:Hmmmm.. Cool.. Start drafting your review bro. I'm sure a lot of guys here are itching for it... We'll appreciate. |
busuyi44:MIUIMIX?? I'll think about it bro.. For now tho I'm thinking about the best way possible to rock the hell out of Xiaomi.eu Miui 12 stable .. Can't wait ![]() |
callydon:Not really man. That was for Lavender. I use Whyred.. Still waiting.. |
GrandMufti:Lol.. Calm down, Mr man! My comprehension ability has never been a question .. Yours? Not so sure. You could've reasoned my point and said something more tact, but you chose a more kingly route for whatever reason Either way, I'm not responsible..Shalom |
GrandMufti:"He has a long way to go..." I'll take this as a joke bro.. Few years ago, I used to hop from one rom to another like some guys here when my loyalty was with Samsung... They had arguably the best rom support. I was a ROM freak and customisation maniac. It was crazy ... Check my post from 2019 https://www.nairaland.com/3092803/xiaomi-thread/5582#80578853 These days tho, I go for smoothness, simplicity & stability. And believe me when I tell you that I know a whole lot about Indians and how virtually impossible it can be to please them.. Go to XDA, GSM arena, GadgetNtv, Telegram groups... They're everywhere always determined to find faults...Chronic faultfinders. They can drive a developer mad I simply ignore them... just few of them are rational. So if I tell you Xiaomi.eu has a far better review I know what I'm saying.. Fan base aside. That said, this thread will be far more estimable if we start applying the simple act of respecting people's opinion/choice and quit making undermining comments abeg. |
olayinkajnr:Don't push me to try this ROM bro.. I refuse to be tempted I read A LOT of user reviews before flashing ROMs and some reviews from people worldwide who've tested MIUIMIX are not exactly flattering. But as you say, it's still a budding ROM that needs to be given some time. Until then tho, allow me to cruise in the cradle of Xiaomi.eu unrivaled smoothness ![]() Thanks your understanding ![]() |
GrandMufti:Lol.. Look at Messi Today he's globally considered the GOAT even as he hasn't actually explored life outside the confines of Barcelona FC. Sometimes you don't need that bro.. MIUIMIX doesn't even come close.. I've read lots of reviews.. Don't tell me I've been misled by user opinions and comparisons with Xiaomi.eu ![]() |
olayinkajnr:Lol.. How about this XDA page? Anyways, whatever base it is, my opinion remains unchanged. How many people even use MIUIMIX? Coz I'm yet to see on this thread. People hardly ever mention it here!.. I mean, compare the Telegram subscribers of both ROMs..That of Xiaomi.eu is almost four times the size of MIUIMIX, and that's not even the accurate figure as lots of users don't use Telegram. Xiaomi.eu is based on China ROM, while MIUIMIX is based on... well... Xiaomi.eu (as you say).. What does that tell you? Can you trace the hierarchy? Now tell me; who's the real boss? Who's your daddy? ![]() Check xiaomi.eu web and you'll see why users worldwide unanimously agree that the rom is the cleanest...
|
olayinkajnr:Actually MIUIMIX is based on EU rom, not Xiaomi.eu.. There's a difference. And while I haven't actually tested MIUIMIX, I've studied the features and user reviews & I can't imagine it cleaner/smoother than xiaomi.eu. I flashed this rom same day my phone arrived from Aliexpress, and it's been almost two years now and the thought of porting to something different haven't even occurred to me yet, because Xiaomi.eu is simply the best! ![]() |
postdigger:I would never break it better your ex tho.. She's far more skillful in that regard .. On a more serious note bro I'm not sure. @festwiz said something about name mixup; he could be right. Meanwhile you could inquire via official Xiaomi social media handles; they reply fans most of the time.. If anything, 9s should get Miui 12 before most devices on that list. It's a newer product. |
postdigger:9s should be among the last batch.. Late August/early Sept.. Not sure. Google Xiaomi Miui 12 roadmap. |
genius43:Yeah bro.. It's very possible.. I mean, it's business, isn't it? The more profitable the better.. Greed however, is an entirely different subject ... |
vhuqnl:Lol.. Was going to ask same question .. Something I bought brand new for my sister at N44,500 earlier this month from a GSM plaza close to my hood. He's within his rights to tag whatever price he desires tho.. |
The 23 man squad as released by Gernot Rohr for Miui 12 Olympics. If you can't find your name, it means you haven't been performing optimally in your club. Work harder, Mr man! Congratulations to bosses who made the list. Cheers ![]()

Hello xiaomi.eu fans, if you use RN7, stable Miui 12 just dropped... Finally! This should give RN5pro users a glimmer of hope. Whyred will likely be released in the next couple of days/weeks. I don't use weekly version of their roms, otherwise I would've been rocking Miui12 since last month. I prefer stable versions. Congrats to Lavender community ![]() Long live the CLEANEST ROM ever!
|
genius43:Wow.. I use RN5 pro and it's mostly on battery saver mode. Haven't really noticed the impact on battery performance compared to the normal mode, coz I haven't been paying attention, apparently. If your comparison/test result is accurate, then Xiaomi have some explanation to do. Thanks for the heads-up tho. |
genius43:How's it draining more, man? What am I missing, pls? |

In my case it's Xiaomi.eu... Never left home in almost 2 years
with MIUI MIX despite doing a clean flashing, a total formatting of data
. Lost 2% (70% to 68%) btw 12:44am to 5:19am. No any other major issue. The ROM is stable, no lag, no any weird behavior or performance.
Start drafting your review bro. I'm sure a lot of guys here are itching for it... We'll appreciate.
